Shame, but having an actual squad feels really good
-
I'd grudgingly accept Sunderland getting a point if it meant we could be 2nd for a week.
-
Thanks, for that. Really interesting. Losing Enrique still boils my piss and seeing them gloat over what a fantastic buy he was for them irritates still. But Ryan Taylor holds his own I suppose, statistically speaking. (But that's probably down to our easy schedule ) I really have to wonder though what the writer was thinking while putting the article together. Why was Ryan Taylor included for analysis at all? I'm happy he/she/it did. I don't think I would've bothered. Because he wanted to include the starting left-backs for all the teams challenging for a CL place?

If we signed Maiga it's pretty much play on the wing or don't play at all for him. You'd hope he'd make the right choice.
-
 ...I'm well biased in hating him because he's both Danish and playing for Sunderland, though. But still. Thank god. I thought I was the only one hating Denmark  I can't imagine the kind of hate I'd feel if Sunderland ever signed a Japanese player.

Surely at this point criticizing Lovenkrands is just beating a dead horse. A really, really dead horse.

Hi HTT, I'm a minority. It's not just the white people.
-
We could use a right-footed right-winger who could actually hug the flanks and cross. Haven't got one of those. Unsure if Hoilett is suited for that role though.
-
Come January he'll potentially be behind, Best, Ba, Ben Arfa, Ameobi AND Maiga, so we could really just sell him and still loan out the young talent anyway.
-
33-man squad? I can think of at least 8 problems with that...
-
Very well played, that. Without doubt, nice to see common sense prevail for once. If I was the ref I'd be scared shitless of the stick I'd get if I even tried to book him for that. Tragic story in any case. Wouldn't wish that sort of thing on anyone.
-
Helped out a lot defensively as well. Didn't think he'd be able to learn how to do that.
-
Jesus Christ, how good does that make Gardner and Cattermole then.
-
Add Jermaine Pennant to the rather extensive list of players who were supposed to "destroy" Raylor, but haven't.
-
Not a lot of teams get to be in that position at the Britannia I suppose.
-
Made the exact right tactical choices in the second half. They weren't fun choices, but they were the right ones.
-
Anybody got a screencap of the League table I can save for posterity?
-
Third in the league. THIRD IN THE FUCKING LEAGUE

I like the fact that even though they bought a Korean they still had to do that. Given that Ji didn't even play, I doubt most of them will be back!
-
For those of you who get tickled by that sort of thing, Sunderland got in touch with the Korean Society first and offered them group rate tickets for ten pounds a piece. All part of their master plan to become Northeast Top Dogs I suppose.
-
Korean commentators on the Sunderland v. Villa game yesterday were mentioning how they got to talk to Bruce when he was here a few weeks ago and how they were surprised at how unfit he was. Called him "obese"
-
Totally unrelated but loads of your mob were at the Estadio de la Shite y'day. Where is that? Sunderland http://c0014019.r32.cf1.rackcdn.com/x2_905a107 Ah right, someone mentioned on the forum that the Northeast England Korean ex-pat society was doing a day trip. Most of those people are from Newcastle

There's just something weird about hearing Freidel bark out instructions in an American accent.
