  1. Blatantly couldn't be bothered to make a proper South Korea top Just a red shirt with a patch, not even any collar trimming!
  2. Xisco playing Champions League football
  3. "Moneyball" in the social consciousness right now basically just means "using some sort of efficient method to achieve disproportionately good results with a limited budget." Obviously that's not what the original "Moneyball" (which, incidentally, is just the name of the book. The actual methodology is known as Sabremetrics) was about, but it's what the word means now. No point in being snobs about it I suppose.
  4. Sunderland beat them. Us at home with the fans and players on a high with the possibility of Champions League qualification with City demotivated due to the game being meaningless with their manager probably leaving at the end of the season or already gone, possibly even fielding a weakened team? Of course we can beat them.
  5. There have been so many amazing moments this season, but hopefully we haven't experienced the best one yet.
  6. So I was wanting to get a seat in the singing section and had a complete brain fart and mistakenly booked the Gallowgate West corner instead of the Gallowgate East corner Just my luck, the box office decided to be efficient for once and posted my tickets immediately before I had time to ask for a change. Oh well, hope these seats are still decent.
  7. Being guaranteed a Europa spot takes a lot of pressure off imo. Can only be a plus.
  8. I doubt Cole could pick out Pardew in a 30000 crowd so they probably said hello. Moot point anyway, the question is who at lille is being watched? Eden Hazard. Obviously.
  9. I doubt Liverpool would ever want to do any sort of transfer business with us ever again.
  10. Just imagine playing Barcelona at home. The pre-match hype. The CL music. Messi on the pitch at SJP. Perchinho would have him in his pocket of course
  11. It's a bit more complicated than that. People had been turning against summer tours from big European clubs for a while now, particularly when they disrupt out own domestic league, which takes place over the Spring and Summer. Barcelona's attitude really took them over the edge though. From the minute they stepped off the plane, it was clear that Guardiola and the players hated having to come here. Messi's answered the first question at the press conference "how does it feel to be in Korea?" by saying "I'm so jet lagged and tired, I honestly don't even know where I am." None of the Barcelona players would answer any questions from the press outside of the official presser and had expressions on their faces that made it clear that they really, really didn't want to be here. (Except for Ibra. Reportedly he signed every autograph he was asked for the duration of the tour and couldn't stop talking to the Korean press ) Guardiola's threat to breach contract was really just one of many things that showed Barcelona's disdain for the event in general. Playing a B-team for most of the game and putting Messi on for something like 15 minutes somehow felt more insulting than just not playing him at all. The whole thing just felt massively unprofessional and more than a little condescending. This was in stark contrast to Man United, who have always been vomit-inducingly media-friendly whenever they're here.
  12. Could have decided that they do more harm than good after the reception Barca got in Korea a couple of years ago.
  13. Let's keep this dream alive. At least untill I come over.
  14. Also, I actually think Wigan away might be our toughest remaining fixture. They've hit their annual "great escape" form.
  15. Can see us being involved in a Spurs 2005/2006(or was this 2006/2007?) scenario where we're in the driver's seat on the last day then everybody gets hit with food poisoning or some shit and we miss out on goal difference. Nah, fuck it. We're doing this. We deserve it.
  16. These Man City cunts are blatantly going to fuck it up against everyone except us.
  17. Seems like an excellent idea to me. Just do away with the Champions league tag and call it the European cup again.
  18. Would be fucking amazing if we clinched a CL spot by beating Man City at home while I'm over there. Just thinking about it gets me all
  19. If Simpson's going, we probably need one.
  20. I'll be starting off from London though. Right now my schedule looks like Chelsea v. NUFC on Wednesday, Championship playoff on Thursday and Friday, Arsenal v. Norwich on Saturday, and NUFC v. MCFC on Sunday. I suppose Arsenal v. Norwich is droppable depending on where the Championship playoff matches are. Feel like those would be much more fun.
  21. In addition, does anyone know how hard it is to get tickets to Championship playoff matches? I see that the first legs are on May 3rd~4th and I'd love to watch both if it's in any way geographically feasible.
  22. Okay, buying tickets now. Just paid for $1000 of airfare. 40 pounds feels like nothing now
