  2. Don't be silly. Nobody sane would leave him out even if he does miss two games or the entire group stage for that matter.
  3. I'd love to see Wenger as England manager. It would either be awesome or hillariously funny and as a neutral I'll take either.
  4. Season ticket at my local club(k-league) cost me about 50 quid and includes all league, cup, and ACL matches. Obviously the circumstances are different, but football in England is pretty ridiculously expensive by any standard. Exactly I paid $130 AUD for my season ticket and that includes all friendlies, club merchandise and discounts on away tickets.Just extrodinary to see how much people pay over there. Who is your team by the way and more importantly do you love the Og Monster. FC Seoul I was prepared to be rather fond of Ognenovski before he pulled out of a move to us at the last minute a few months ago.
  5. Maybe part of the problem is fans who believe that a qualification campaign where you finished first is a failure just because you didn't piss on every other team in the group from a high distance.
  6. Blatantly playing harder because he feels threatened by wor Sammy

  8. It also helps that he's not actually shit

    Sunderland...

Quinn and Bruce in Korea this weekend to watch Ji and sign a cooperation agreement with the kfa. Good thing I'm not at home while they're stinking up the place.

    Alan Pardew

Don't really see much of a difference on the pitch between Hughton and Pardew. If there's one factor that validates the decision to replace the former with the latter, it would be Hughton allegedly allowing the likes of Barton, Nolan, and Smith to take a larger leadership role, which worked great in the Championship but obviously would have been problematic in the long term. Unfortunately none of us really know for sure what happened behind closed doors. Tactically neither has really ever done anything special. We're better now because we have better players.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I'm actually getting pretty certain at this point that Mimi either is Ben Arfa or is related to him by blood
  12. It's a lot easier for a smaller club to keep a good goalkeeper than players in other positions. Then again, we shouldn't have to worry about it at all given that we're looking at a title challenge and champions league football.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I think he should start on the right wing. I realize he might be better up front but we need to bring him into the side somehow and Obertan is the only one of our attacking players that's droppable atm.
  14. We have internet, man. How did you find Abuja? I am not from that area of the country, obviously, but I've always felt it was an extremely boring and dry city. Relatively clean and safe, though. Somehow missed this good news as well. Jonas is a consistent and hardworking player. I think he fits in perfectly with the new talent we've brought in, so this news is nothing but encouraging. Business. Not by choice. For the record, your government is legitimately terrible to work with and your airport workers should all be consigned to the deepest spheres of hell - but only after a four hour security check. You're still my favorite Nigerian though
  15. Sorry, late to the party. Stuck in Africa with little to no chance of an internet connection. (FAO Baba: I'm in Abuja!) But... Woah? Really? This actually happened? Not only is this good news in the sense that a key player is staying, it also sends a larger message that we're perfectly capable of tying down our best players to new contracts despite what happened with Barton and Enrique. Bodes well for Colo's chances of putting pen to paper as well.
  16. Checking On the score while waiting for my connection in Hong Kong. Looks like a fabulous game
  17. He's surely not coming back. I can't imagine him being on good terms with Ashley and we wouldn't be willing to pay his wages or even his knockdown transfer fee (which would probably still exceed 10m)
  18. On flight to Johannesburg on Saturday night. Missing match.
  19. Take Jonas out of the team and watch all our French flair players get rolled over with nobody to do the donkey work for them. Oh, and Raylor will get reamed. In the arse. Until it's raw.
  20. Is our confidence actually on a high? We've drawn two matches on the bounce, one of which was an absolutely abject performance, and just barely overcome a Championship side in extra time. Not that I'm complaining about the results, they've been good, but don't see why we'd be any more confident than usual.

    Alan Pardew

I'm still not at the point where I really love him like I did Hughton, but I have to say given my low expectations he's doing a refreshingly not-terrible job.
  22. Four wins away from silverware Oh, wait, semis are two legs. Bollocks. Random did you know: for League Cup semis, the away goals rule is only applied after extra time. Really, really pissed me off a few days ago when I got to the 2014 league cup semis with Wimbledon and the players just walked off the pitch when I was expecting a shootout at 3-3 aggregate
