  1. Possibly the most uninspiring 90 minutes I've ever been subject to. Four points from the last two matches and the reality that we've got some s*** players, s*** tactics, and no f***ing manager felt distant for just a moment there. Hello there again relegation fears! I've missed you
  2. Ah, we're shit. And isn't that the most blatant handball in the history of football
  3. We've been purposeful but wasteful, and I think not taking our chances may come back to haunt us. Think Carroll should come on... The thought of him getting delivery from Raylor is intriguing indeed. The defensive unit is looking pretty shaky and Bolton have caught us with our pants down more than once, but we've carried more attacking initiative and hopefully we'll continue to do so in the second half. We seem to a bit reliant on our wingers going forward because we've got absolutely nothing worth mentioning in the center of the park, but I'm used to that at this point so I guess I'm not really bothered. PS. Alright, I'm convinced now. Despite spending over half his life playing professional football, Shola Ameobi still doesn't understand the offside rule.

    Henrik Larsson?

"What the fuck?" is really the only appropriate response to a story like this. Wonder if the same lads that made up the Riquleme story are responsible for this one.
  5. We should be giving him a go. Not sure if we want another mega-wage striker with personality issues on the club's books.
  6. http://www.public.iastate.edu/~ppromma/red.jpg Knew that reminded me of something.
  7. Have to say, the interaction between this and the British "special status" is interesting to say the least. The thought of Welsh, Scottish and N. Irish players suddenly becoming "foreign" I suppose that might actually breathe some life back into their "domestic" leagues
  8. I think I'm a bit beyond that point. My biggest fear right now is "if Joe Kinnear is their idea of a great long-term manager, just how ridiculous would be their choice for the man to replace him?"
  9. The cycle's starting all over again

    Peter Beardsley

had a dream last night that we were 2-0 down at Bolton and Beardsley came out of the stands in the 80th minute to score a hattrick. Random.
  11. Can't decide whether to watch Inter v. Man U or watch Barcelona destroy Lyon. It's been a long time since I've been this interested int he Champions League. These octofinals matchups are great.
  12. He really is a lot like Jonas. (I'll leave it at that this time without going into my usual Park-wanking )
  13. What appointment we make/do not make at the end of the season will be the final straw for a lot of people. The fact that this kind of noise is being made already is certainly worrying. All I know is that Joe Kinnear is still our manager next season, I'm joining NUSC
  14. The problem with a lot of our fans (and football fans in general) is that there are only two kinds of players in their minds: the wasters and the world-beaters. You're either amazing and setting the world alight, or you're f***ing s*** and not worth the wages you're on. It has be accepted that there is a middle ground. You can be a useful squad player or cost-effective backup even if you're not weaving wonders every week. Man United, the best team in the country, employ the likes of O'Shea, Fletcher, and Brown, players who a lot of people would think aren't good enough for our squad never mind theirs. You can have your star players but you also need your mediocre ones to make up the numbers. Shola is a moderately effective role-player who's cheap and would like to stay here. He's absolutely perfect as a fourth or fifth choice striker, which is exactly what he'll be when our good ones are fit.
  15. But Spurs losing is infinitely more enjoyable...
  16. Ekotto now a member of the afro club. Fellaini has started a disturbing trend
  17. I have this inexplicable good feeling that Spurs are going down They just seem so mentally weak... No team spirit and no leaders in the dressing room.
  18. Always has decent matches after he's had a 2 week break. Really just shows that he's not a player that should be playing the full 90 minutes. How would Scholes be faring right now if Man Utd forced him to play full time every week?
  19. Absolutely. Or maybe he's just slow and s***? You're only proving what James said tbh. Or I'm just giving my honest opinion which has been the same throughout this thread from day one. All that means is that you had written him off before he even played a match
  20. classic tackle for how to break a leg. f***ing stupid player. i imagine when we play barton and nolan together for sure we wont finish the games with 11 man. Because Nolan has been making tackles like this his whole career.... I admit it was f***ing stupid but lets not go OTT and make him out to be Lee Cattermole. he is not like that c*** Cattermole but we all know that he is the type of player that is capable of doing something like this.Like we all know Barton is capable of doing something like this. For example the chances of Nolan or Barton making that kind of tackles is much higher then players like Fabregas or Carick for example Yeah, Barton or Nolan have a higher chance of making a bad tackle than Fabregas or Carrick because they tackle more. Stunning revelation that. No. Barton and Nolan are the type of players which you will not be surprised if you see them make that kind of tackle. Fabregas and Carick have alot more mind in their games then Nolan and Barton. We all saw that today. wtf are you on about. Fabregas and Carrick make less bad tackles because they don't tackle that often period. It's not their job. It's not because Nolan are Barton are brainless thugs and those two are "classier" players as you seem to be implying. I'm sorry I'm needlessly making a confrontation about this, but the way you seem to be dismissing two of our own players while lifting up two from another team boils my piss.

  22. I think if you look at his expression (I know, grasping at straws here) he's clearly quite surprised. Probably just mistimed his jump on an overeager lunge for the ball. Certainly no intent to physically harm Anichebe. He should still be more careful though. Thoroughly deserves any ban he gets.
  23. I have this odd, terrifying feeling that Hughton is going to take us on a bit of a run and get the job permanently at the end of the season.
