  2. Colo is the best defender Newcastle have ever had, better than Woodgate in my opinion. Woodgate's fitness was obviously his biggest downfall as Colo has been pretty damn good in the fitness area for the most part. Anyhoo, it's a pointless argument but I'm just glad he's back.
  3. Like most strikers, he'll do better with the ball coming to his feet rather than long balls hoofed to his head. Remy likes to keep the ball down and burst forward, so hopefully they can keep it down and work some nice 1-2s together. It's the fault of the rest of the team for hoofing it and failing to keep the ball on the floor, hence why he couldn't do anything with it last night.
  4. Dummett did make a really good initial impact. Made some great runs and tried to push us forward a lot. Then of course it all went to shit again. I do agree Santon needs to sit out a few games, as Haidara/Paul are more than ready to step in.
  5. We was fucking shite tonight, he really was. Debuchy, dummett and willo were mostly fine but steven was awful. Constantly making mistakes, people in the crowd were going nuts at times Should've been dropped for mbiwa a long time ago. It's so frustrating to see him in the side
  6. Just got back. We were just thoroughly outplayed in every area really. When lloris pulled off that super save I knew that would be it for us in terms of luck. It was mens against boys and we had no saviour from the bench. If things don't improve with remy and colo back, it's going to be an ugly remainder to the season.
  7. no chance of postponement tonight, we all need to dig in and warm up via ritual dance moves I sense a disturbance in the force......a cold and wet victory is on the cards.....
  8. yup, in heaton now and it's chucking it down, gonna get soaked
  9. Getting really windy now, I'm praying we get some penny floater lucky shot that swerves all over the shop in front of their keeper. One thing we need to do now that cabaye is gone is have more shots from the edge of the box. We're scoring fuck all right now so hopefully someone else can step up, just not tiote..
  10. I'm guessing Krul is having a late fitness check? or is he out... edit: it's stopped raining for a bit
  11. do you think pardew knows about triangles yet?
  12. Newcastle are on the verge of an unwanted record: defeat this evening would be the first time that they'd ever lost four Premier League home games in a row. The last quartet of successive top-flight home losses in the same season came during the 1977/78 season (Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, smoggies, Ipswich). Moussa Sissoko has completed more passes in the final third of the pitch this season (220) than any other player from either club. The nearest Spurs player is Mousa Dembele on 208. Michael Dawson has attempted more longs balls (35+ yards) in the PL this season (233) than Steven Taylor, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Paul Dummett, Fabricio Coloccini, and Mike Williamson combined. Mike Williamson has won more aerial duels inside his own penalty box (17) this season than any other PL player.

    Nile Ranger

utter tit http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/nile-ranger-arrested-suspicion-breaching-6700053? Ex-Newcastle United footballer Nile Ranger has been arrested for breaching his bail conditions in Newcastle city centre. The troubled striker was arrested by Northumbria Police outside Tup Tup Palace Nightclub on St Nicholas Street in Newcastle at 2.30am this morning. In August he was ordered by a Newcastle magistrate to stay out of Northumbria Police’s force area after he appeared in court in relation to a charge of raping a woman at a hotel in the city. A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: “A 22-year-old male was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning on suspicion of breach of bail conditions and is currently in police custody helping police with enquiries.” The Londoner left the North East by mutual consent in March 2013 and now plays for Swindon Town. He is due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court later this year after being charged with rape, in connection with an alleged incident at a hotel in Newcastle’s Jesmond area in January 2013. He denies the charges.
  14. horrible weather here today, gonna be freezing my arse off tonight
  15. Can't wait until he gets his 1st goal for us, then he'll surely get bitten by the toon bug. Hopefully tomorrow night he'll get lucky and I can witness his tears of joy in person at st james Remy has been a massive miss for us, so seeing these two work a partnership will be interesting
  16. I've had patience for this lad for many years but he's just not good or bright enough to do it for us. Mbiwa needs to keep this guy out of the picture, but god knows how he'll do that if Pardew keeps faith in this daft bastard. He'll no doubt keep his place for Tottenham as Alan does have the balls to change things up, even though we've conceded 6 goals in the last couple of games
