  1. Seems like a mix between angry teenagers and old twisted/bitter losers are a requirement to stay on that forum then, eh...
  2. Didn't Bridge sign a new contract last season though? What kind of fee are we talking about here?
  3. Yep and its only the 3rd of July so we and Sam have plenty of time to address all of the areas. I doubt much will happen this week seeing the squad are relaxing in Austria so just put your feet up and feel reassured they know they're doing
  4. Can we sticky this? I find checking clubs boards after we played them to be most interesting blueyes.gif
  5. I still think that once you have a reliable and influential Centre Back playing behind you then it will relieve so much pressure on those in front of him, so I chose CB because we've needed a star there for god knows how many years now...

    3-5-2

I agree with James although we'd have to have a seriously well drilled and strong back three to cope in the premiership. Also you have to take into account that during a match we won't have to play in a 3-5-2 and stick with it the whole match. Depending on how the game goes we can shape back to 4-4-2 at any time meaning it keeps the opposition on their toes and shows how well we are to adapting to 2 different systems. Like its been said, Sam seems to be targeting players who can adapt and are generally considered strong in a variety of positions which can only mean good things when it comes to shifts in formations

    2007-2008

    I agree with this.
  8. Try not to quote all of the images again n again, takes about 10 minutes to reach the bottom of the page either way, good photos!
  9. West Ham. Aye its a corker, top corner job, find it on youtube.
  10. I'd like us to bring in a big CB badass. Its what we need now, someone big, tough and not like Bramble in any shape or form
  11. I mean I wish him the best of luck in whatever he does.....................but in my opinion...........................hes the shittest player I've seen play for Newcastle. Sorry but thats just my feelings on him. The sheer amount of times I've screamed his name at my TV whenever he fucked up in our games, urgh, see ya later Patty.
  12. Forget what's on the official site. I'm talking about backroom staff on the playing side not the bloody ticket office! Haha sorry my bad, its been a long day
  13. Looks like Rafa did his homework, erm, I mean did their homework....

  16. SSN said a medical had taken place I believe. I'm 80% sure (although they may have said it was happening tomorrow) but it seems a pretty much done deal ( *gets to work on altering the sig* ) If it doesn't happen, I'll hunt you down and shoot you like the dog you are... http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/3476/staringsquirrelcopyfe5.jpg

  18. Comes across as such a greedy prick to me >
  19. Yep, I just have to keep reminding myself how this summer would be going with Roeder on board. I dread to think! We'd be listening to excuse after excuse ever day, whilst free/loan/cheap signings were disappearing behind it all. I love Sams 'Get Stuck In' transfer approach, he sees a player he admires and thinks will improve the club and goes out to get him. I think Roeder just tip toed around agents too much and didn't have the balls. Obviously times have changed a little since then concerning Ashley but I'm sure you get my drift.
  20. I think whenever we concede a goal, I tend to notice an 'Oh Well....' face on Babayaro, rather than a 'Ah fuckin hell man, come on!!' Seems to have a lack of passion in his play, in my opinion..
  21. True although I'd much rather have a dedicated Left Back or 2 arriving sometime soon I'm loving this summer so far, only the 1st of July too!
  22. He has a much better chance of 1st team football here and we're on the up again. If I were him I'd join the toon, heh, brings new challenges here whereas I'm guessing he doesn't feel as wanted as much at chelski. We're his best option now that hes on a free, best option for him and certainly a great option for us. Even if he wasn't a guranteed 1st team regular, he'd be great in the squad to have around with all of his experience and a useful option in a variety of positions. Win-Win deal for us I feel.
  23. You'd get rid of our top scoring striker instead of shipping out Ramage/Carr/Babayaro?! Jesus!
  24. Stephen Carr for me, although it was a tough choice between him, Babayaro and Ramage
  25. If Geremi signs, and I'd be very happy if he does, then I think just one CB and a LB are needed at the back. Of course I'd welcome other defensive squad signings if possible too in case of injuries... What do you lot think? 2 more CBs and a LB? I think the next CB we sign would have to be a very, very good one who'll be able to manage a full season in the middle alongside Roze/Taylor.
