I know it's been a while, but have you forgotten that Irish dude on ESPN. The Onion bag guy? Tommy Smyth? that fucker irritates the shit out of me. John Harkes is absolutely atrocious as well. -

Welcome to the shit I have had to deal with all of my life. Ty Keough and his commentating ilk with their uber reasoned analysis: "this is sudden the quarterfinals, so they have to win if they want to move to the semifinals..." or "when the ball crosses the sideline, the other team is awarded a throw-in. thanks for joining us for this friendly between Senegal and China..." -

it's time to start a dead pool for everybody who injures ben arfa. -
Pitch invasions have occurred many times in college football. One of the most famous was the Cal-Stanford pitch invasion by the Stanford band. They went on the field to celebrate Stanford's impending victory. The only catch was that the game was not over. Stanford kicked it off and Cal returned it for a game-winning touchdown.

I believe that a No-Fly Zone should first be authorized against FIFA, and then some serious bombing to protect all of us from weapons grade douchebaggery. -
Anyhow, I thought the chloroform comment was worse, particularly after seeing significant evidence of institutionalized rape in Libya. However, even that wasn't said in malice. No malice, no offense.
-
Not directed at you at all. I've said much, much worse in my time. I am pointing out that I jumped to a conclusion that Ash was being self righteous when he wasn't.
-
I stand corrected. Plenty of self-righteousness on the forum, but not coming from Ash.
-
It's fairly comforting to see that in the modern world self-righteousness is not at a premium.

Joaquin only has a cleft lip. The criteria has not been met.

Never thought I would say this, but I am getting really amped about this upcoming season, even if I will likely be back in Benghazi for the start. I recall seeing this Marveaux guy play a few times, and being impressed with him, although he didn't do anything particularly memorable.

agreed, Ben Arfa needs to be played as a classic 37. this is vital to our success.
-
he's fine. I find it amazing at how worried we are about Best. Shit, times have changed.

"at the end of the day" pisses me off, now that you mention it. At the end of day, the average footballer is engaged in some scheisse porn with a ladyboy most likely. And if you can reflect on the result and team performance while getting a Cleveland Steamer direct in the mouth, then that's multitasking at its imperious best.
-
All I can say is, wtf? Who would have ever thought that Best would have gotten 6 Premier league goals this season, let alone in his whole career? Well, shit, a few months ago the uprisings in North Africa didn't seem possible. Best's rich vein of form is clearly like the butterfly flapping its wings in California and the six legged prick causing a typhoon in Japan. If he continues, the whole world is going to ignite in revolution.

I believe gelding should be illegal under most circumstances. However de Jong's dirty tackle deserves a clipping of his own dirty tackle.

Look at that bunch of Judases unless the thumbs were for gouging his eyes out. pro-Kinnear supporters a bit like pro-Gaddafi supporters without the green sashes and RPGs.

bipolarism at its imperious best for some of you.

I spouted enough vitriol toward Pardew, and still feel it was justified. However, we can only go on his tenure here. The results and the performances both have improved for the most part.
-
Selective fucking reasoning to make Rumsfeld blush. As much as I dislike what has transpired with Hughton and how Pardew came in, you cannot fault him for his time here. His record, despite being crippled up front, speaks for itself. So far he has blown my expectations out of the water. Not convinced it will last forever, but he seems willing to adapt to the situation, and isn't crippling our style of play. He didn't come in with the mind to level everything Hughton did, but instead to build on his achievements. Tweaks here and there. Hope he keeps it up and emphatically proves me wrong.

When transvestite identifying inevitably becomes a professional sport, Ronaldo will have to improve his skills if he wants to be a legend.

Non causa pro causa. At best a false appreciation of Pardew's agency in the determination of any result; a classic case of causal oversimplification. Even more worryingly, you show no evident understanding of the plurality of sufficient causes of a goal event in a football game. Additionally, I have some concerns about the sample set you have chosen to use. A much more interesting thesis would be how you think the next 11 games will go, instead of commenting only after the accident of what happens to have been. An even more interesting thesis would be on how you manage to still talk out of your ass when the pet shop is open. How does enough air make it past the suffocating gerbil's backside?
