  1. It was actually the left arm that bothered me as I didn't remember him having it like that but here it is.
  2. Millburn one is perfect in that it's lacking small detail but clear who it is. Perfect imo.
  3. How did they get the pose wrong ffs
  4. I take it you didn't watch tonight's game then I watched Manyoo last week and imo Depay is the real deal. Manyoo have general problem tied into their transfer strategy that means they've got players and don't seem to know what to do with them, but the general level of quality of player will see them through.
  5. I'm sticking with they're both just not very good, and giving Gouffran +10 points for having been systematically ruined by Pardew. Borini is obviously the better player like, not in dispute.
  6. He was great for them though. Carried them to a cup final, won the derbies and kept them up. Gouffran is an absolutely talentless shitcunt. Did he do all that, really? He scored 7 goals the whole season. EDIT: Gouffran scored 7 the same season as it happens
  7. Not sure I'd go as far as woeful, Borini has hardly ripped the league a new arsehole. They're both just not very good.
  8. Agree with most but the last sentence. Money isn't the issue with leaking goals now, it's that McLaren had decided to back Colo therefore meaning by default there is 'no need' for another CB. Whether he's done this as a manager or member of the board we'll never know but football wise it looks a fucking terrible decision especially when Palace would probably have taken Colo as well.
  9. Nice little tonic for those saying McClaren was worse than Pardew (at the time of his appointment). Did anyone on here say that? Cronky doesn't count. I know I responded to a fair few comments along the lines of 'It's another Pardew', 'another English dinosaur'. Anyway, hopefully this better style of play is what we see every week. How are those the same thing? What I, and a few others, said was that Steve McClaren was an unambitious appointment with a very patchy record. Not the significant upgrade the club should have gone for, and I stand by that. Not sure if it was you or not, but the main gripe for me was people saying he was another Pardew in terms of style of football, which is just plain wrong. I also don't think he failed at Derby but I guess that's open to debate. did anyone say this at all? the closest i remember is ronaldo saying that his boro mates hated mclaren and that the football was boring and s*** under him...that's still a very long way from saying he's anything like pardew Yes. Quite a few actually. Such as? Do you want me to name names? EDIT: Just go back in the thread and look. yes i want you to name names as you've made the accusation, i'm not doing your f***ing work for you Have a look at pages 31, 32 and and 63 for example. Are you on a wind up? There's two posters on those three pages combined that have likened McClaren to Pardew without even a reference to a similarity in style of football. If this is the best you can do you may as well admit you made it up and apologise for being in the wrong. He trawled at least 30 pages for that response as well
  10. Sub 10m and not at the expense of other players we need then aye I'd take him, but we're likely to play one up most of the season and Cisse is considerably more 'proven' at PL level so what's the point if he'll not get much playing time? I think we'd be best starting the season with Cisse and Mitrogol as our options and Perez as third choice if required. Then spend any money elsewhere. But then when did it matter to us whether we need a player if there's a deal to be done.
  11. Yes, i think you're right. We should just go for it and buy him. Got a classic Ashley standoff written all over it this like. Last hours of the transfer window with an 8m plus add ons offer. Don't want him at all personally fwiw

  15. probably like aye, but then he'd have had the equivalent of 2 seasons managing football teams in his whole career - there's no way they'd take that gamble imo, and howe would have to prove it in the PL for longer too it's all pointing to pards, i've got voodoo dolls on the go and everything, i want the rest of the country to suffer what we had to suffer for four fucking years
  16. He's quality Amazing trickery and footwork he's got when going at pace too. Should he stay injury free he'll be Liverpool's next 40 or 50m plus sale.
  17. Over Aguero? Ahem, forgot him tbf. Him or Aguero would do aye I'd have both Aguero and Costa way ahead of him tbf. I like Sturridge a lot, but he's not in the same class as those two. My point exactly, he's easily as good as Costa imo. Injuries aside. How is that your point exactly? Yeah, I don't agree with him being as good as Costa. Costa has proven in two different leagues that he is a top top striker in the world, while Sturridge imo still has a lot to prove without Suarez next to him. The point that I think he's valued less atm due to missing almost all of last season. He's got the lot like, including an injury plague sadly.
  19. In the formation/style we are playing we mainly need our CM's to be good at ball winning, keeping posession and maintaining their positioning. Colback and Anita do this better than anyone else in the squad* so they are the best for the job. * Gini could possibly move back, but why move him from his best position. Nah, I'm not having this like. In any system you need your midfield to be robust, dictate the tempo of a game and be able to pass/bring the ball forward when the opportunity arises. In an ideal world they should also chip in with goals and assists. Colback and Anita don't do any of this particularly well. Why move Wijnaldum back? Because he's probably our most dynamic and talented midfielder. I'd rather have him at the heart of things. Not to mention the fact we have Perez, De Jong, Aarons (and Cabella if he has any future) who can play further forward. Colback and Anita as a midfield is a major problem if we ever want to be pushing towards the top end of the table. Probably the biggest one at the moment after our lack of a commanding presence at the back. Agree tbh. We've a surplus of players who can play the ACM role (I think Cabella might come good when he's fit) but our CM options are limited to a degree. I'd have a Gina/Anita pairing and Perez playing the 10 for now.
  20. Over Aguero? Ahem, forgot him tbf. Him or Aguero would do aye
  21. Sturridge's current estimation is a classic case of a player being thought less of due to time on the sidelines. If you took fitness out of it I'd take him over any other striker in the league, he's outstanding.
  22. We should really be able to sit nice and deep here and crucify them on the break. Protect the shaky defence and let Sissoko and Wijnaldum tear them apart. Hopefully Aarons starts instead of Obertan but he won't.
  23. I'm hoping that one moment of insanity doesn't earn him a new deal here. I'm hoping it doesn't stop them peddling him in this transfer window ffs Looks like it has, Craig Hope says they want rid of Gouffran now ah well, if it's a choice between binning one of them i'd live with obertan staying until his contract runs down tbh, that cross on sunday is probably more than gouffran will contribute the rest of the season if he starts every week
