  1. for what? The Premier League. He's simply not equipped to be an effective, regular player in this league. He's shown this time and time again. He had a very good game on Sunday but West Ham weren't really at it and he usually just gets bullied out of the way. If he's a regular next season the Ashley won't have spent the cash and we'll be in bother. knowing what we all know about our managers and coaching I find this a fucking ludicrous position personally

    John Carver

by the way I'm not sure I buy the announcing it tomorrow thing anyways, doesn't sit with their end of season inquest/review shit...they'll presumably at least pretend to review things even if they intend to appoint him regardless

It just can't be true, there is literally no footballing logic to it. He's already there and cheap, that's it. He surely can't have convinced Charnley and co that the entire thing was due to him being short of players and injuries etc. can he? They can't be that clueless? I really don't think so. Ashley said in his interview that he didn't expect us to be in this situation at Christmas and that from now on we make our own luck. Doesn't sound like something a bloke ready to appoint the reason for our shite position would say. The only thing that makes me not 100% certain he's not getting it is because it's us. I think I'll lose faith in humanity itself if they give him the job after these last few months, jesus

Holy fuck if he gets the job man
  7. Of the two middlesbrough-related promotion failures, if Karanka indeed fails, which do you think we're most likely to get?
  8. Ditto. Read somewhere the other day he's apparently wanting out aswell. flog him to Pardew pls
  9. doesn't care so much he's decided to make the first public appearance and 'interview' of his entire life? yep, doesn't give a f*** Surely a better move than offering the players money not to lose like last time? what, are you trying to imply that his interview yesterday was somehow instrumental in the win? must have had a deep impact on west ham as well if so 'cause they played in fucking flip flops or we'd not have won
  10. like they did forever until they got relegated for being crooks you mean? only difference now is that no-one else can compete with them as inter and Milan have done over the years
  11. lets not get ahead of ourselves like
  12. doesn't care so much he's decided to make the first public appearance and 'interview' of his entire life? yep, doesn't give a fuck
  13. The daft thing is, despite all the bad blood I still think Keegan would come back if Ashley apologised and requested him to return. It's not going to happen though, the truth is Keegan and Ashley are planets apart when it comes to transfer policy. what on earth leads you to that conclusion?
  14. Exactly. Until he realises that the manager is the most important individual at the club and should be the number 1 priority when he talks about his "investment" we're on a hiding to nothing. Spending loads on quality players is completely negated by having a gormless cunt like Carver in the dugout working with them everyday. He simply doesn't understand. He's the type of bloke I'd imagine solves problems by throwing money at it and it doesn't quite work like that when it comes to running a football club. what always got me about Pardew and the 'transfer system' they have in place was that Pardew was always fighting against it as well...he was a somewhat competent manager (compared to say carver) but because he didn't believe in the system of being handed players he went out of his way to fucking hamstring himself by either dropping them, playing them out of position, or forcing them out of the club....or all three then we get carver who will do what he's told so the system is irrelevant, he just happens to be utterly incompetent
  15. wonder if he's negotiated a cut of transfer deals down there as well, the fucking prick
  16. we're not getting a fucking Klopp like, best hope we've probably got is for someone like the assistant at Real who has worked under a structure where the players are bought for the manager and has experience of different nationalities and so on hard to understand why we've not moved for him so far, unless of course we have and he's only interested in actually being a football manager and not a pr-stooge for ashley
  17. it's lee bringing the manager in duo, weren't you paying attention?
  18. the McLaren link is through carr aye, they're big mates etc. as charnley obviously knows fucking nothing then unless Ashley intervenes then we're going with what carr wants
  19. literally don't give a fuck about him spending on players until he or someone appoints a proper manager, coaching and medical team until then it's pointless
  20. Nail on the head. I still would prefer someone with a bit more physical presence in the middle, but I'm pleased that he got to show there's a very good technical player in there. Finally we got to see how he earned a place in the Dutch national team. Much, much better than we've made him look. If that's his last game here at least he's going out on a high. we're not likely to play 4-4-2 under a foreign manager (should we get one) so big vurn and 2 more physical midfielders with movement around them would work well imo
  21. Rodgers without with the transfer taken out of his hands, I'd be more than over the fucking moon with that
