  1. need creativity, leave most creative players on bench WHOOOOOOOP!!!
  2. what was that figure someone quoted about sterling, in refusing to sign a new contract he's already missed out on 3m in wages or something? and they're looking to hold him to the remaining 2 years.... something will break, no way he stays there without signing a new contract
  3. just going round in circles man, you presumably assume he made the decision to appoint carver and then later stick with him himself when I don't think he has that level of day to day involvement...I imagine he's firmly pissed off with the performance of the people he's chosen to run the club since January and has probably been given shitloads of assurances that have turned out to be total bollocks and could potentially cost him a load of money as a result i'm not defending Ashley or anything of the sort but I'd be utterly amazed if he was personally involved in the decision-making that got us here this time, beyond leaving charnley in charge in the first place
  4. can you imagine man, bruce's first win against manyoo in his entire fucking managerial career to send us down nothing more than we deserve tbh
  5. his team finished 10th with -14 goals, it's not like he's gone to a team that's going to dominate games over there is it?
  6. competition right there it's like that squires thing about the race to avoid Europe, we've basically been in a race to escape the premier league since january
  7. Whilst there may be something to this scenario, it boggles the mind that he placed his trust in someone who had been promoted from the depths of the organisation, had no suitable experience, has no charisma or leadership and has not once demonstrated an iota of competence. If he'd hired an experienced or competent Chairman or DoF, then he'd have grounds to be furious. What he's done is the equivalent of hiring a child as a Formula One driver and then getting mad when there's a crash. Pretty much, he only has himself to blame. I dont even think he is furious. It's well established that Ashley has done this for years in SD, promoted from within to inspire loyalty and he sticks with people he trusts. Hasn't Charnley been at the club 15 years or something? It's not unreasonable to think he's strung Ashley along about how much he can achieve and knows etc. and now here we are. Who knows if he's furious or not but he's hardly likely to be f***ing happy is he? Previous history of Ashley's running of the club tells me he isn't furious, this is the gamble he is taking running th club on such a shitty low budget. Already relegated once 5th Place finished and refused to add to the squad the following season. Almost relegated again. Second half of the season completly thrown away. On the brink of relegation. There is pattern here. this just backs up what I'm saying though in way, his stubborn decision to stick with Pardew almost relegated us as has his stubborn or neglectful decision to back the decisions that charnley has made this season I just don't like the idea some people have that he's very hands on day-to-day and this is all some evil scheme to avoid relegation by a single point or whatever as long as we're making money, it's fucking nonsense the fact he should have intervened a long time ago in this current fuckfest is a different thing entirely

  9. Good. Hope you never do/will. fair play to barca for finding a sponsor as odious as ours, more so probably
  10. aye wasn't that your centenary kit or something?
  11. fwiw I firmly believe this to be true....while he's an obvious cunt and the situation is a direct result of his overall policy in running the club there's no way imo he would have ever intended to let things get this far once again I reckon he's placed his trust in someone who is incapable of doing the job they're supposed to perform - charnley
  12. stripes to hoops ffs then again you had halves not so long back I suppose, ship has sailed...you'll have 4 squares soon enough
  13. Which means Hull will win Normally I'd think that too, with this being NUFC and all, but I just can't see it The odds of a Hull win is 3.30 and a Man U win is 2.20 so it's kinda close. I guess it might not be as impossible as I imagine bruce has never beaten them in 17 years as a professional football manager
  14. Way over the top. He's a crap footballer but I wish him well when he leaves as it's not his fault he's getting games and he seems to be a decent person. Don't want him to die like, even though I don't buy this decent bloke stuff, I think he's proven the last few months he's an absolute c*** personally. Hasn't done anything apart from being a bad footballer has he? Talking about Carver isn't he? Carver aye

  16. When he's finally binned off from here, where do you think he'll find a job? I doubt anyone would let him take PE in a primary school, never mind manage a football club. I'd like to see him buy a small inn and become a pub landlord. In Dublin. Some other dinosaur will offer him a coaching job, he might even blag his way into a managers job lower down tbh. Never underestimate the benefits inherent in being on the Brit coaching merry go round. But aye, hopefully alcohol poisoning somewhere will be his next move.
  17. if there was any level of analysis or criticism in the English game carver would have been crucified for this taylor bollocks and it should ensure he never works again
  18. I think you've made your bed brummie, you should lie in it and watch it in a pub, or don't watch it at all.
  19. real are fucked in the head over managers like
  20. Exactly - he might shift focus away from football but he's not going to flush millions of pounds down the toilet. As the article says, there are clubs better placed than us that can't be sold at the moment. I think the only way the club can be sold is if there is a sale price and the interest free loan is converted into a "normal loan" with the debt saddled on the club. Or some horrible clauses regarding advertising at al. Ashley's not going to lose a penny, out of spite. is this a potential reason for building up stockpiles of cash within the club? we had 34m in 2014 so lets assume that'll increase between now and the next results to june 2015 and we've got say 60m in the bank; could he be wanting to say to potential buyers pay 250m for the club but you'll have 60m cash in the bank when you buy it to spend on whatever you like? he gets his money back, the buyers effectively get the club cheaper.... I don't know how these things work but it'd make more sense than him taking the cash out and having to take the tax hit maybe?
