  1. Aye, but if we do it'll be someone we don't need cause the deal was worth doing.
  2. attacking midfielder, just what we need i'll expect to see him in a shirt tomorrow then
  3. let me guess, the press aren't really heaping any pressure on him either?
  4. we are absolutely fucking rubbish like
  5. If memory serves he played RW at Bolton but was left footed? Auxiliary LB option for the Pardiola to call on if so.
  6. "Crystal Palace are poised to agree a £1m deal for Bolton Wanderers winger Lee Chung-Yong, 26, who is due to get the all-clear to play after a broken leg." did this poor fucker have a second broken leg or something? he was class when he first turned up at bolton, would have had him in a heartbeat works hard too, pards will love him
  7. The other players need to be coached on how to exploit that extra space though. One of the problems we had with HBA was that teams would double up on him but we didn't exploit the extra space because all the players were concerned with was holding their shape and staying solid. Whether or not they'll get that coaching I don't know. I doubt it with the current setup. well said one good thing about cabella from his YT vids in france () and what we've seen of him here is while he's not as gifted as HBA he gets his head up a lot more and is often looking for a pass to a teammate, if we get people running off him at pace then i think it will reap dividends
  8. selling him to pay for this delle alli kid no doubt
  9. Is he not the guy who spaffed Lyon's wad and totally failed leaving Garde to pick up the pieces? Makes perfect sense.
  10. My stars that lad arsenal have signed is one ugly bastard
  11. nothing i want more than us to go to their place and beat them 4-0 like, regardless of the carver-related consequences cabella-ran show, with a goal for him, a goal for vurnon and then whoever else decides to inflict misery on him i actually enjoyed watching the match yesterday (even considering how bad it was) for a change, my pardewing is starting to wear of i think...he's gone, there is hope
  12. this is what you'll get with carver, he's probably everyone's mate combined with the pardew-weight being lifted we might get a few performances and results but ultimately that will fall apart because he's not a very good manager

    John Carver

nothing is going to save him from the bloodbaths that follow that palace game imho, best he gets 9 points culminating in defeating pardew before reality really sets in
  14. The scary thing is, that when fit he should maybe be first choice CB now dummett CB, haidara LB going forward, simples
  15. funny, he was looking decent before he scored and before he scored i was thinking if nothing else happens in the next few games i hope he tears palace apart single-handed to show that fucking clown pardew like then he scored like him a lot, he's going to get much better
  16. what's going on with Schurlle then? he was amazing at the world cup as a sub and i thought he'd come back this summer and kick on to be amazing?

    John Carver

he's only the perfect boss for ashley as long he appears able to keep the club within the parameters of their financial calculations based on being in the PL, i think the next 2-3 months will see everyone disabused of that notion very fucking quickly

I can't get myself outraged at this 'head coach' system tbh, it produces good players when it's allowed to, the problem is the restrictions placed on it in terms of balancing the squad. I see the gash that Bruce, Pardew, and whoever buy before failing then leaving the club with a payoff to deal with all their shit and I think how we're setting up isn't necessarily a bad thing. We just need a manager capable of dealing with it, rather than the shit we've had/got.

We really need to get battered regularly now. Aye, I really miss the Championship. That's exactly where we'll be in 2016 if Carver's in charge next season. I want Carver to be replaced as much as the next man but he's here until the summer and we need to pick up the points to stay in the Premiership. Kaka said he was in favour of regular batterings, not failing to pick up enough points for survival. I personally hope we narrowly win 4 games and lose the rest 9-0. Agree with this 100%. And Deuce, I think the issue for most (certainly me) is that there were good coaches available now who we could have gone for and persuaded to come but we spent a month not really bothering, then announced Carver under the guise of some great strategic search for 'the right man' type bollocks. There won't be a search, they'll wait and see if someone good knocks on the door otherwise it's carver, we all know this. They've used up every last drop of benefit of the doubt years ago like.
  20. 4 games which are ones we should PROBABLY win, but sweet jesus, I just don't know with JC... the thing with this is you can see some of the defeats being bad, like pardew level bad and as they're going to come thick and fast the cumulative effect might be catastrophic for our squad with a comedian in charge
