If we have a poor showing even in just the first game, I really think people will flip. we will have a poor showing considering who we're playing lets face it, but he'll get a pass imo for probably 3-5 home games and then it'll turn if there's a bad defeat again I reckon he'll get if from game one - carrying on where we left off v. Cardiff. No way, especially how poor our squad is likely to be by that time, the troops will give him a pass for a while at least until the window slams shut. OK, I'll recant slightly and say that he'll get a pass until we concede, at best. If we're still playing eye-bleeding football - which we will be - I reckon he'll get about 45 minutes' grace tops. We've not long to wait to find out though. I'll eat an imaginary hat if it turns so soon

thought cisse was going to miss the start of the season due to knee-knack?
-
that's very different from some of the descriptions on here like, suppose the question is can he make a competent PL fullback?
-
is jenkinson really that bad like?
-
Just got to look at the "Goal of the Season" list to see that. There's a Demba Ba video on YT. My god he was feeding off long balls. Very few organised attacks. the entire story of the 5th season when you look back on it, ba battling like fuck and scoring from scraps then cisse coming in and scoring all kinds of goals from nowt

renewed cabella bid linked at almost exactly the same time we're about to rake in 11m or so for debuchy well i never

well that last few pages was utterly awful, almost as bad as alan pardew, but not quite anyway IP it's OK, he's back giving press conferences and the world cup is just about over...there will be plenty of fresh hate to go around soon albeit it'll probably just be him telling the same lie about a different player each time he speaks

zero makes a fair point which will not be lost on our overlord, doesn't seem as if anyone else seems keen to take the lad at the stage so guaranteed we'll sit on this one hoping their president breaks near the end of the window usually works well for us, good times

That's absolutely fair enough. But managers aren't always appointed on track record and maybe as an assistant he was appreciated/respected. I mean Queiroz got a job at Real Madrid a lot thanks to being a fantastic assistant to Sir Alex. (even if he had a better track record than Wilmots before) i think that's fair enough, but what would also be fair enough imho would be the belgian fa to can him and try and appoint a top class manager to get something out of that squad

i agree, getting sanchez will probably get them 15-20 of the 30+ suarez scored
-
p*ss off Ian. Once again great 3 word post, Dave. I understand why people may be anxious but I think it's reasonable to judge our progress at the end of the window.

same as in the game, dutch would have to nominate an 'active' player to go in goals
-
guess he'd have to line up for the first kick though, and feign injury after that
-
how many times does this get said on the forum? i've never heard one person dissent against the viewpoint either it's a given
-
absolutely correct, i say with no conviction whatsoever
-
surely best in a team setup to counterattack well
-
hadn't thought of that, he's doing absolutely fuck all to earn it just now either, what is this a charity?
-
we'll not see him next season like, maybe in an effort to throw away the cups but that'll be it
-
mind you, argentina weren't much better and have looked just as disjointed etc. at times throughout most of the tournament imo
