Re: that golfmag comment - if "what's going on" means he's not getting the support he needs or is being actively undermined somehow then he should be walking on principle. If it means he can't work under whatever circumstances exist then he needs to go and be replaced by someone who can. He's an unlucky fucker Pardew mind, same shit seems to happen to him at every club. Must be a gypsy curse.

This thread has become worse than Pardew's management. Well done.

yeah i think this will be about it, spend up to 20m on fees then act like they've done everyone a fucking favour in breaking the bank

same, our crucifixion at anfield and consequent vitriol he'll receive might well seal it

what sort of football are derby playing under mclaren?

been saying this for 2 years while pardew has them standing still in lines kicking the ball to ba etc. and people were saying it was down to the players for fucks sakes I remember, in the 5th season, when we played at WBA (a) we broke from one of their corners and HBA, Ba and Cisse (I think?) combined to score having broke from the edge of our box to score in about 15 seconds. For the first time since a SBR team I actually thought we were on to something. I've not thought that since. he's a fucking lunatic for not trying to stick with that pardew like, only a lunatic or a diagnosed moron could have watched us in that game (around that time actually) and not thought to himself "well, by luck or good management i've stumbled onto something here which clearly works and everyone loves, this is what i'm going to do going forward" what a twat the man is

Another season of transition, then. Yep - you've got to think there could be upto 6-8 first team squad out and 8-9 in imho. Another season of limbo, 'settling in' and various formations, approaches etc. At least it buys dickhead some more time though. mike ashley just shivered

There's been a few people on here who have claimed it or similar. It's a view I find completely and utterly insane. it was this - i kind of see what he's saying with the rest of it but don't understand the first line at all, makes no sense

who was it on here the other day who said something about managers not affecting the teams and are not important or something? i forgot reply to it, blew my mind tbh most important thing there is in football, one way or the other

You'd be hard pushed to make a case that their success this season is down to that. They've got good players and a manager that has wrung the absolute best out of all of them. Clubs like ours (and the Premier League in general) want you to think it's all about money but it isn't. Of course it helps but there's nothing (other than fear and defeatism) to stop a club like Newcastle doing what Atletico Madrid have done over the last three years - both are a very similar size in terms of stadium and revenue. Get the right manager and go from there. Bang on. Rodgers has them playing very well. And that's it. Why can't we appoint a manager capable of implementing a style of football & some belief from the players consistently? yeah totally bang on, basically what martinez is doing at everton really

Why would the club put it out even if they were considering sacking him? In any case I'm okay with it either way. If Ashley wants to stick with Pardew and his plan to buy not quite good enough English players, then the mounting hostility in the stands should provide some entertainment. there'll be no whispers of the sack in the press like, they don't talk to the fucking press

aye you're right about that like, hope the hatred goes into overdrive vs. liverpool and start off in pre-season again if the prick is still in charge

This exact circumstance is explicitly stated as an exception in the rules. The PL have done nothing wrong in the application of the rules as far as I can see. How the FL decides to deal with their cases is neither here nor there, the only precedent we have from this particular governing body is West Ham and Tevez (?) in which case a fine was levied. i think highly paid solicitors will have a field day with that tbh http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/03/sunderland-face-legal-fight-points-deduction

very nice shirt indeed

Aside from the fact he was proved to be you mean? By the FA. Rather believe white South Americans who have said it's not meant as a racist term. South Americans think monkey chants are playful banter. As if that bunch of animals are any authority on racism. Horrific patter.

they're supposed to forfeit any points gained (1) and then the docking of points seems to be a discretion thing, but there's precedent all over the place for docking of points tbf...the rules say ineligible, doesn't state anything about the level of acceptable administrative error most likely they'll apply the 1 point if at all apparently the clubs are kicking up about why it was all kept a secret etc. too

the legal action thing has rasied it's head i see, inevitable

that would be fucking amazing

sounds suspciously like that prick keys being sarcy to me that like
