  1. rodgers won't come out of this suarez thing looking good whatever happens now like
  2. I did what now? retracted, i must have imagined it mate
  3. Get the feeling this is going to be posted every single day on here till he gets the boot in November. funny, was just looking at the fixtures and this is my prediction too...if the mackems rip us up at their place it'll be the end of him i reckon, you just know we're going to waste too many points in the 6 winnable games before liverpool and a run of 4 tough games
  4. And the fact he has never had a decent run in the same role.
  5. nah probably me, i barely know what's going in my life nevermind on here just looked up where "going postal" came from as well, fucking hell
  6. i thought hithere went postal as well, he still floating about is he?
  7. perhaps, but it's a hell of a risk considering how available ince is supposed to be at a rumoured decent price
  8. if we wanted ince we'd have been in at blackpool already imo, with the wonga links and the friendly...ain't happening imo
  9. very good post overall, ince doesn't have "experience" though mate
  10. imagine if downing's reported 80k p/w wage was remotely accurate man
  11. actually this is a much better point than mine
  12. i think you fuckers need to give these mackems a break going forwards, like you'd give a break to a foreigner who comes on for the first time struggling with the language and making a twat of things...it should be our human duty to educate them and show them the error of their ways (such as you don't openly admit to taking the piss out of SBR or anyone else when he was dying of cancer as it's not considered socially acceptable), that takes time and a great deal of patience if we don't help them, they'll never change when the next one rolls up, instead of immediately wondering how long he lasts before leaving, let's try and make him stay for ages and crowbar some humanity into him
  13. knackerpot good point by yorkie, o'neill-esque
  14. mind boggling thought isn't it? with pardiola and killer joe running the show it's almost a nailed on certainty which one we'll be after I'm not buying this like. Our policy of buying players over the last 18 Months or so would actually suggest we'd go for the younger with a better re-sale. Sick of reading negative posts like this which are negative just for the sake of it. Just one of those things you have to come to accept on here that if we get Downing that's Pardew's choice, if we get Ince that's a great choice by Carr. Similarly to Gomis is Carr's, Bent is Pardew's, no teamwork and agreements in this game. here, self-congratulation society, it's not baseless negativity thanks very much....as dave has also pointed out the age policy seems to have relaxed, our manager publicly stated he wanted more "experience" and we've publicly said we're interested in 28 year old gomis, 29 year old bent and now a rumour pops up about 29 year old downing...we've signed 27 (?) year old remy too so yeah, sorry boys, it's all me and teasy making shit up and being super-negative about pardew
  15. fixable qualities imo if he's coached properly...coach him to win the ball using his physique legally and when he's got the ball coach him to move it fast to one of our players who has made space for the short pass....and tell him to do nothing else whatsoever i mean you could fix that in training ffs, repeat drills of him winning the ball off someone then being put under immediate pressure by 2 players...anyone on here think they've even once tried to address it, even a little bit? i agree i'd get rid in an ideal world, but to say that his current flaws can't be changed isn't right imo
  16. career stats for downing on wiki, so basic (appearance, goals, assists): 'boro 234 22 43 villa 79 11 15 liverpool 91 7 11 since leaving 'boro he's basically been very, very average at best and frankly wasn't that hot shit at 'boro either stats-wise
  17. i have so little faith in the man i just don't believe it dude, i really don't, he's terrified of his own shadow...he'd find a way to get jonas in
  18. if someone could guarantee me it meant never seeing jonas near the first team ever again then yeah, maybe i could get on board if he cost fuck all and wages weren't that high but i have no faith in pardew...he'll crowbar jonas in there somewhere so we'd have jonas running about doing dick and downing tracking back well providing 1 assist every 20 games (or whatever his average is) everything presupposes that we have to sign wingers to succeed as well, we don't, we just need to find a formula that makes use of the players we have which really shouldn't be that hard tbh
  19. stinks of signings like duff, "experience" and all that bollocks - equates to an expensive never-was with his better years behind him feel/felt the exact same about bent as i do this prospect, it's pardew convincing them that last seasons failures were that he didn't have enough "experience" and probably enough englishmen when we all know what the main problem was last year
  20. people think this would be a good move? jesus
  21. just me or does this kit not look that bad on the players when they're wearing it? can't say it'd ever be something i'd buy but i'm now not convinced it's the shitfest we first though
  22. mind boggling thought isn't it? with pardiola and killer joe running the show it's almost a nailed on certainty which one we'll be after
  23. how does the remy signing fit into the sabotage theory then? perhaps they know he's bang to rights guilty on the rape charge and as soon as the transfer window SLAMS SHUT he'll be carted off to the big house leaving shola to play up front on his own after they implicate cisse during the trial maybe they know he'll sign for real madrid next summer after scoring 30 goals and are playing the sabotage long game i just don't know
