How mighty considerate of us. I hate to say this but i think we've got this one right, nearly 28, last year of his contract, Lyon want rid. There's no way we should pay more than we are offering. But i do understand we need a striker badly we have to accept paying more than we think we should, whether this player is worth doing that for is another matter. I just hope we have identified other options. Could handle bringing in players with potential around 21/22 for 4/5 million really. I just hope they don't decide to go with what we have, would be massive mistake I reckon. That's the problem, i dont we ever have other targets. We really are a "all our eggs in one basket" club. That's why i said sometimes we should pay more. In this case i dont because of his contract and situation with Lyon. I just think our lists of mulitple players for a certain position never exist. Despite what Pardew says. when we pulled out of the douglas deal (apparently) was there not something along the lines of kinnear saying that they'll sign the player that's right regardless of whether there are cheaper alternatives? sure i remember something like that joe talking shite again for a change then

did tom ince play, and was he any good? -
we should be buying the fucker a goodbye gift after what he did for us last season like

jesus christ look at it, even stripes, crest and logo lined up and not in stupid places...who designed that travesty?

OL president confirmed 3 clubs had offered their valuation a couple of weeks ago, thought to include Swansea and Cardiff. Are we accepting his word as gospel or might that be just another tactic to try and squeeze more money out of us? swansea moved onto Bony anyway, he'll obviously not go to cardiff or the other team so it's rather irrelevant who met their value in the past all comes down to them gambling we'll fold and us doing the same...so it'll most likely be shola for the start of the season lads

CAN EVERYONE PLEASE STOP FUCKING SAYING "OVER THE LINE FFS"?
-
the day face tattoos become acceptable in the general workplace is the day we know we've fucking failed couple of weeks probably
-
Same. every single tactical idea that people have should just instantly be followed up with a picture of pardews smug fucking face

bardsley, christ almighty man

Ok yeah, seen it now. What an absolute bellend. Sure his future cellmate will dig it.
-
shite, can't see that here, will try on the phone
-
where's this picture of his face tattoo?
-
fair point really yeah, but everything hinges on bale's state of mind...if his heads not right it'd be counter-productive, and if he's definitely going to leave next summer is it worth it?
-
that's what i'm saying, keep him and build on top or sell him and build without him...keeping him and not really pushing on helps no-one imo...we've been there ourselves in the past btw why do spurs make such mincemeat out of signing good strikers when they manage to get players in for every other position no bother?
-
i'd be in the sell category myself, spurs are in many ways a 1 man team at the moment and if that one man gets his leg snapped in half then it'll look very foolish not to sell (but that's not a reason to sell of course) replace him with 4 x 20m players or 3 x 30m players and look to build a team for the next 5+ years vs. keeping bale knowing he's on borrowed time with them anyways more than likely keeping him only makes sense to me if they invest in their own squad significantly this summer to back him up
-
agree with that in a sense but in our case it's coupled with the managers rigid tactics and that makes it considerably worse imo...pardew doesn't want his midfield roaming about, getting ahead of the ball and so forth, he wants them standing in formation to face the german machine guns with a stick in their hands
-
christ, if JFK gets wind of that he'll go mental man
-
doesn't seem like something a journalist would go public with mind
-
what time is KO? agree on them not going down, he'll have them fit and organised - can get you a long way in this league
-
he seemed very specific due to knowing the bloke from next door, will ask him about it next week when he comes back was also saying that the bloke told him he occupied about 4 or 5 different positions on the academy org chart in order to fills the boxes for the auditors, he couldn't possibly do all of the duties he should be
-
hm weird, it was funny 'cause the bloke specifically went out of his way to say they'd failed "again"...seems not
-
EDIT: i was laughing at the england manager thing, not bimpy
-
i heard they recently failed to make it to the top level academy status again or something? bloke at work lives next to one of the youth coaches or something, he was telling me
