  1. We know his intentions. We know when a big offer comes in, a player will more than likely be off. The trick is how long are we going to continue to find the likes of Ben Arfa, Tiote & Cabaye on the cheap? this is what i'm saying as well, he's sold and sold to this point under the guise of getting the high earners off the payroll and bids that can't be turned down he's either being truthful about that or he's a fucking liar, once the colo & jonas situations have been resolved there'll be nothing left that isn't his own sanctioned deals under the new fiscal regime if he starts selling HBA, cabaye & tiote and continues not reinvesting then he's the cunt we're all sure he is one thing is for certain, if he's so deluded that he thinks they can continue to deal the way they have been forever then in the long run we'll end up down again
  2. at the risk of taking this thread seriously ashley has, either through design or good luck (or both), found himself with what appears to be a cheaply assembled squad of talented players all at a good age and high potential to improve as a team he'll prove the doubters wrong when he stops fucking selling them the moment they look good and a bid comes in, and not before
  3. don't get it personally, he starts against lower league players who are more likely to hurt him, yet he's not gonna start in the PL can only assume they want him sharper before risking his place in the PL, however how's he going to get sharp without playing? fuck playing him in reserve games minimum 45 mins for me, has to be
  4. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2040773/Andy-Carrolls-agent-reveals-footballs-dirty-secrets.html
  5. true who else has that happened with? top of my head...woodgate, shearer, er....
  6. can't see liverpool losing face on carroll so quickly, the most expensive player in their history working under the untouchable king kenny unthinkable surely? could see spurs having a sniff if he ever does come up for sale like, levy would likely fleece the skin off their backs in any potential deal as well for me if carroll doesn't sort himself out at liverpool he's fucked for good
  7. it's really not mind when you think how much of a negative influence he is on playing football
  8. wtf was going on when they gave him the new contract, i mean how was it decided with the roll of a dice?
  9. you have no doubts about carroll, henderson and adam? fucking hell
  10. don't disagree with this personally unless the coaching staff feel he's out of his depth even if his eventual position will be winger if he's capable of playing at LB at such a young age it'd stand him in good stead for the future and develop the defensive side of his game, teach him positional sense and how better to attack his own opposition FB etc. don't subscribe to the idea that playing him LB will somehow hamper his development as a winger
  11. home games key for me, with the attacking talent we have we should be going out and looking to fucking destroy teams from the lower half of the table and any potential rivals at home, this has been a downfall of ours since bobby's teams imo spurs and everton have been good at it in recent years, beating those around and below them especially at home do that and everything else will fall into place for a good season we finally have the attacking talent to break teams down as well
  12. contract up next summer, whooooop!
  13. Feel the same way to be honest. Obviously I'd love to have a settled left back in place but the team spirit/the fact that we're winning/etc have made his departure that much easier to take. Was really one of my favorite Toon players though. easily the biggest factor imo, if we can limp along with raylor until santon is ready we'll have got pretty lucky imo
  14. awwwww man, i know it's a long shot but can you imagine if the dalglish effect really takes hold and we finish above them this season? that'd be one of the sweetest finishes for quite some time imo
  15. you didn't say that agreed, but in what areas do you consider he was "far better" than shearer then? if it's not all round game then essentially he was just a better finisher? according to you.... personally i think shearer would have thrived in the manyoo team(s) during the period he played for us, injury or no injury...only when he reached the latter stages of his career and his mobility was severely compromised would have struggled
  16. on shearer i still don't think i ever remember an impact in the English game by an English player that first season he had with blackburn after he signed, he was fucking ridiculous man, the goals he scored at palace away (maybe opening day) will live with me forever he was a force of fucking nature back then, similar to how rooney pitched up at everton to be fair to him

    Graham Carr

Tiote, Cabaye, Marveaux, Ben-Arfa, Santone, Abeid..... Havent these all arrived under his watch and probably a few others who slip my mind? what are we actually saying about these signings? french league winning captain well known french ligue 1 winger bound for liverpool 5 times (?) ligue 1 winner and all round famous frenchie ex-wonderkid italian u21 international and 'new maldini' as much as carr, unless it falls under his remit, the people who are sniffing out the deals and finalising them deserve massive amounts of credit imo
  18. same, agreed, it was ronaldo who said that 2001 RVN was probably the better goalscorer at the stage mind I know, I quoted him initially. i know
  19. same, agreed, it was ronaldo who said that 2001 RVN was probably the better goalscorer at the stage mind

    Alan Pardew

Disagreed there. Showed a disappointing lack of that. In any case, as said, any of Keegan2's qualities were irrelevant given that he had no intention on imparting them on the team. footballing maturity
  21. In terms of getting different kind of goals, he was. I don't think he's ever scored from outside the box for Man Utd..... maybe just the one against Charlton in his last season, but don't quite remember if it was just inside or outside. I remember his scoring a great solo goal against Fulham, though. He takes his goals well, no doubt about it, but not sure about his effectiveness outside the danger area. he had a very good all round approach play game though, he contributed a lot to their play - what i mean is you make him sound like he stood on the 18 yard line his entire career
  22. neither of those are accurate RVN wasn't one dimensional by any means and shearer could have played in any team in the world before his injury

    Alan Pardew

for me keegan 2 looked perhaps a better overall manager than keegan 1, perhaps showed signs of learning, maturity and tactical development i didn't expect to see in him shame we'll never find out how it would have gone
