  1. Van Nistelrooj in 2001 was much better than the post-injury Shearer, so what? I said what if he didn't have the injury. Think Shearer proved he could adapt his game, no reason he wouldn't have scored a hatful with manyoo imo.
  2. What utter garbage. Shearer would have lasted 5 seasons max at Man U before Fergie booted his btackside out of the door as soon as his form slipped. Doubt it, Shearer would have been a 10 years man at Man Utd easily, because he'd still have banged them in for fun like he did for us but just as key because he was a leader, a team-player, a strong personality. Fergie likes such characters, i.e. your Scholes', Giggs', stalwarts, real pros. Players who despite their declining form and years, he still keeps around. The likes of Giggs and Scholes were never as reliant on their physicality as Shearer. He'd have not lasted as long at MUFC as he did here. He'd have been on the bench at best, something a personality like him never would've accepted. He'd more than likely not have had the injury he got with us at Everton though, don't forget, so there's nothing to say he couldn't have stayed the player we signed for longer. He'd have scored for fun at manyoo like, scary thought.

agree with that, i like the players we have - all seem to want to play for the team and pulling in the right direction, good s***! And the players we don't like are almost out the door god, can you imagine when smith fucking leaves this summer? sweet jesus that'll be good

lot of love for pards at the moment i see, that's good has he had what you might deem a bad patch since taking over yet? results-wise i mean don't recall one and that's to his credit to date...however it's also when he'll be really open for judgement 'cause it will come and how he handles himself and gets us out of it will define the man so far though http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--bLPMy_19C4/Tf41RZBu-LI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/ZeQKuN9S-Eg/s1600/everything_went_better_than_expected_RE_Few_Memes_To_Make_You_Smile-s509x385-155629-580.jpg
  6. i'd be massively optimistic about the future of the club if i had any faith whatsoever MA would build on what we have now or at the very least not sell it out from under us every time the fucking window opens still, not the right thread for that i guess
  7. Which is why I'd start Ba as well, not bloody Lovencrap.

@ that video, when he falls down for the penalty not given in slo mo
  9. start the fucker against a struggling team in the division below us, if he runs riot and tears them up it'll do wonders for the lad...if he's knackered take him off can't see the issue
  10. Since when did we have goal celebration music? He said it will "end up being" loving the memes as smileys mind
  11. He left Liverpool when the pressure got too much as well didn't he? That's how it will end again IMO. The fans won't slag him publicly if results dip but behind the scenes it will be a different story. Liverpool will struggle to finish in the CL spot and that's failure considering how much money they've blown on fairly mediocre players. not sure that quite tells the whole story like
  12. just don't believe that anymore, some variation of the club being cheap and available then looking to improve on his money makes more sense to me the "good fun" bit stinks of bullshit to me, he's never ran the club that way since he bought it...alls he did was drink beer in the stands a few times and wear a Smith shirt how was Japan by the way? Mint. It's like Korea only with some sort of thought put into it's design and the occasional clean-up. Sorry Oldtype. only been once but it's canny is Japan aye
  13. well i think we've learned the hard about believing what "MA's team" say haven't we? tbf buying the club when he did fits his business modus operandi, former top brand fallen on hard times and needs reviving, available at a good price....it's the reviving part where it all went wrong so he either had no intention of doing that (makes no sense), didn't/doesn't know how to (plausible) or something else... also don't forget this was right before the crash, clubs were being bought by billionairres, americans etc. and there was still a general good feeling around football itself, the bubble was still to burst as such, as we know he's a gambler maybe he thought he could tick over until he was able to offload it at a profit

  15. spectacularly wrong and stupid? yeah thanks for that mate the club was publicly available yes, and as i recall the face value of the club at the share price was pretty decent value at the time, is it really beyond the realms of possibility MA thought he might be able to buy a club with the 2nd biggest attendance in the country and one of the best stadiums for a good price and then look to shift it quickly? is it, really? there are a million and one reasons why he might have bought the club but the only one any of you accept is the one from his PR people? loving the condescension though boys enjoy EDIT: granted the "buyer lined up" part might not be 100% on the money but this all makes more sense than "he bought the club for shits and giggles"
  16. this makes more sense to me than anything else i've ever heard about ashley's motives for buying the club Eh, how does that make any sense whatsoever? how doesn't it ffs? it explains the first 2 or so years of utter ineptitude and chaos if he was trying to deal with something he never really planned on having very long, then once the realisation dawned on him he was stuck with it he started trying to get a handle on things which he's doing now in his own style suppose it depends how quickly he intended to move it on and when any possible deal fell apart, within a few months he'd sacked allardyce and brought back king kev against all the odds etc. which might have been intended to raise the appeal of the club

  18. i get all the hoohaa i suppose but it doesn't half as bad as it might, it looks like something they've cooked up that will catch your eye on tv, simples if i was a potential sponsor and looked at the next televised home match where i could have my company name in that spot it'd get my attention like
  19. Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Seriously ?? Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Seriously ? Thats epic SHIT ! This shit just got biblical! that real then? it's the only pic that comes through the works server
  20. WTF, there a link to that anywhere? 18/19 year old professional footballer fails to make matchday squad and caught smiling? should have hung the cunt
  21. King Kenny? Surely such a thing could never happen! interesting to see how the owners handle it when they eventually realise they're just gonna go nowhere with him and have to deal with his expensive misjudgements sounds familiar? Made a mistake giving him the new deal I think. Should have let him finish last season and get a proper manager in during the summer. best part is any new manager is going to have deal with Carroll and Henderson
  22. we've got Cabaye now sonna, fuck Modric...
