King Kenny? Surely such a thing could never happen! interesting to see how the owners handle it when they eventually realise they're just gonna go nowhere with him and have to deal with his expensive misjudgements sounds familiar?
-
signed a contract that he could retire on for the rest of his life with a bit of luck he'll sit on his arse for the next 5 years

can't wait 'til the wheels really come off for Dalglish like

Football's greatest - where does Lionel Messi rank?
mrmojorisin75 replied to Dave's topic in Football
same goes for Rooney if it's the case for Messi anyway. Only Ronaldo has done it at 2 clubs so far, not that it fucking matters. -
I said all this shit about Pardew in the mackems game thread, he's starting to look clueless to me. What's the point in re-euro-vamping your squad and then playing the same system as last year without the 3 players that made it work? There's more in this squad of players than we're being allowed to see atm imo Sadly it's starting to look like Pardew may not have any flexibility about him, or maybe he's just overly cautious away from home. Next home game will hopefully answer some questions. I'll keep saying it til it stops happening mind, if he keeps starting Shola we'll end up in trouble and so will he.

If that's your problem then I'm left scratching my head. Years and years of wasting money on the likes of Smith (£6m + $$$wages over 5years) does nothing for NUFC on or off the pitch. We've been guilty of this time and time and time again. So long as the quality is there, I don't have a problem with the £xm spent. always, always with the worst case man...why is it "we could have spent 6m on another smith" when it could have been "we could have spent 6m another enrique" rather than done fuck all? ??? everyone i think, everyone, agrees with prudence but presently we're on the wrong side of it imo there always has to be risk to succeed, we take no risks

so, it was borderline laughable in the end then? one thing i'd say about the chronicle questions was a comment from someone that said the owner is working to a different time frame to supporters, this is a magnificent and well thought out point if the carroll money is spent in the next 10 years, otherwise it's jive our activity on the whole was good, exits ok for potential good entrances....problem as always is the money not spent

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
mrmojorisin75 replied to Pilko's topic in Football
Wow. The Carroll revisionism is in full effect -
is this a joke? 2 things make clubs sell in this situation: 1. pay them the money they want 2. the player becomes disruptive forcing them to sell (hello maiga)

so what is carroll missing from the above? if you assume his great 6 months with was what he's capable of - he had all that and the strength and aggression that's why liverpool bought him -

is carroll just not a more aggressive version of crouch? he could unquestionably be a great striker but right now it's massively in the balance and in kenny's hands unfortunately for carroll they signed suarez who is showing them there's another way to play personallyi hope he becomes an alcy or gets locked up, fuck him, unless he issues an unequivocal apology and buys out his contract to return to the toon!! -
i did say i have a good feeling about this one lads...
-
remember their kits in the '80's/'90's with beretta across it? loved that
-
By pointing out he plays as a right back in this match? Kadar is also playing btw. Just tackled Santon pretty rough. ah naa, i'd seen a few digs about is all unless he's totally and utterly fucking useless with his left i don't see an issue - and if he's that good with his right i probably wouldn't care less unlikely to be a marauding left back granted but i have a good feeling about this one
-
is everyone pissed off he's right footed or something?
-
what other sense is there, other than a wheel?
-
He got kicked on the ankle and has been out for 2 months. hence why i asked what the real injury was...it's not beyond the realms of possibility he's been really unlucky twice although i can honestly see where you skepticism comes from
-
what was the injury he's just getting over now? officially i mean, i know he took a knock in pre-season rather than it being a muscle pull or whatever but what were they saying the injury was? he really is the type of player to draw in a defender and either skip away or get taken out...
-
he broke his fucking leg in 2 places man, i have a strong suspicion ronaldo might have had a hard time coming back from that an all
-
while i sympathise with the idea that pardew might walk on principle over transfers everything that needs saying about him leaving has been said, it would be a nightmare for us imo or even mark fucking hughes
