  1. Eh? Why I would I kick off about dropping Nolan? dunno, thought you were of the opinion that dropping Nolan is crazy given his goals from midfield ratio must be my mistake You are a fucking mistake. 10k on that?
  2. Eh? Why I would I kick off about dropping Nolan? He's only gone and got you mixed up with Stu. Crazy shit. i thought it was both of them agree with Stu then, FWIW, however as someone else said it's a crazy idea but maybe some squad competition and depth in various areas might not be a bad idea

  4. agreed, as i said personally in terms of recruitment i see 2/6 windows that could be deemed acceptable every other window has seen us stagnate or regress imo
  5. That is not a very fair statement, is devoid of circumstances which is why I said you were spouting rubbish. Firstly you can easily add HBA to that list (the fact that he was injured is nobody's fault except the c*** De Jong). We were only left with that pile of s*** because we did not replace Carroll in January 2011 which is why I said last Jan was a bad transfer window. Otherwise for a team that just got promoted (and is therefore not the most attractive for top players), having HBA, Carroll, Best, Ameobi, Ranger, Lovenkrads is not too bad. In fact immediately pre Ashley (post Shearer of course) which of our strikers would you categorized as really good? Martins at a stretch...who else? Unless you rate the likes of Owen and Viduka highly (which would again strengthen the rubbish claim I made), as of January 2011, we had quite a good bunch of strikers/attacking players especially for a team just newly promoted. in the same way we sold milner and didn't use that money either you mean, which bring me back to talking shit about "always looking to the next" window which is what you called me out on we do not have a single striker worthy of the clubs history, reputation and stature nor do i expect us to on 1st september 2011 i'd say looking at that list of windows i was relatively content edging towards happy with 2 of them, which were the two i named initially, the others simply not good enough imo i'm refusing to count the championship January because we were already in a total state and undermanned as it was, that was only successful in the sense that it balanced the relegation a little but the deals themselves were pretty decent i agree i agree it's rare for any club nowadays to be able to sit at the end of the window and say "we got exactly what we wanted" but we can do a LOT better than we have
  6. waiting for Ronaldo and others to (rightly) come in and kick off about dropping Nolan tbh
  7. http://www.footbo.com/Teams/Newcastle/Transfers on balance i'd say that it's roughly even stevens if you look at number of windows strengthened vs. windows weakened/stagnated however look at the bigger picture and tell me that managing to a "build" strike force of shola/best/loven/ranger in that time is strengthening the club, please look me in the eye and tell me that we have virtually one player only for each position, backups are on the whole shite and not worthy of the shirt (smith, guthrie) or we don't even have them (LB)
  8. it's so tragically inevitable that on 1st september this will all be repeating itself, i.e. let's see what happens in january - been the same since the moment ashley bought the club Rubbish. Agreed Jonny, I have no idea why people keep on repeating this eventhough they have absolutely nothing to back up their claim, it's all speculation nonsense solely based on the last Jan transfer window and ignoring all the others which imo we've not done too badly. bullshit right back at you both under ashley how many windows have we come out of saying "we did well there"? the first one under allardyce i'd suggest, and maybe the colo/jonas one but imo we've stood still or gone backwards in every other window squad-wise would like to elaborate on which transfer window (aside from last Jan's) you think we've gone backwards (bearing in mind that very few clubs go for mega deals in January)? i honestly don't have time to go back and research them all, but i can't honestly remember a single window where people haven't been saying some variation of "let's see what happens in the next window" i honestly can't plus haven't we made a net profit or broke even in the vast majority of transfer windows? what i said is stood still or gone backwards, struggling to understand how anyone is arguing to the contrary we simply have not progressed as a football club under mike ashley, the best thing you could say is we got rid of a lot of bullshit high earning wasters, shame it took a relegation to achieve that

  10. or he could be a shite footballer and miss 16 games through injury like a hundred other players we've had on the books?
  11. Wonder if we could convince them we're trying to be one. Would be kind of useless to not try at least, but hay, why try when you can just give up and not risk looking like a loser club? everyone (i've seen) is putting "football reasons" at the top of the list as why we might not tempt them, when in reality we wouldn't likely be willing to pay them a significant enough upgrade on their $'s to make such a risky move at this point in both their careers
  12. ronaldo? ronaldoooooooooooo?
  13. yeah, playing arguably the best football the planet has ever seen should probably be ignored...
  14. i'll f***ing bet you, publicly and all, what's the bet? £10K on next year's La Liga? and you get Barca? wait let me think...fuck off 10k...jesus man you should start by reading what i'm saying about JM - he'd win a title sometime given free reign, that's about it - no way on gods green earth i'd be able to say when that would happen as barca are the superior team/force 10k EDIT: actually wait you just said on the league so i'll take barca, agree?
  15. i'll fucking bet you, publicly and all, what's the bet?
  16. worse how? less point in the league maybe but the beat barca in the cup and have got under their skin at times in the CL Clueless. Absolutely brainless. fuck you dude, explain yourself - pathetically arrogant...tired of it, you talk utter shit, no-one likes JM but he's the most likely person to break barca it's as simple as that if i'm clueless please explain how
  17. nailed - he'll do it, no-one will like it, but if there's a man on the planet who can it's JM
  18. worse how? less point in the league maybe but the beat barca in the cup and have got under their skin at times in the CL
  19. Pellegrini who didn't manage to beat Barca? Who are the other 11 then? Stop talking s***. I agree that those players and JM aren't the best match, even the club obviously, but Real have to acknowledge they are in the wilderness for a long time if they don't change their approach. Hence JM is your man, just let him work or accept 2nd place for the foreseeable future. So you agree with me, but i'm talking shit? You don't even watch English football, bud. I can only imagine how much Spanish football you've taken in this season. A manager like Ancelotti would be far, far better suited to the job. can you explain how i agreed with you? then i'll deal with the rest EDIT: oh i see, about suited to the players yeah...so you named a manager suited to the players who Barca took to the cleaners (Pellegrini), so what?
  20. Mourinho will win them the league next season if he can sort out the team in the summer. I think they'll also do better in the CL next season. there's simply no-one on the planet who could have walked into RM and took Barca, JM has a fairly respectable record on paper tbh over the games
  21. in your esteemed opinion who would likely have the better chance of "breaking barca" ('cause that's what needs to happens for RM), Pellegrini or JM?
  22. Could easily play for any of the top four and would look great doing it. see my next post, worries me
  23. He wouldn't look out of place in a top 4 team, but he probably has more freedom in a team in our position to get forward at times and maybe take risks at the back that make him look good the little i HAVE seen of him i'm amazed no-one is talking about him going...he is fucking brilliant tbh, looks like a midfielder on the ball
