  1. we've already tapped him, someone gave ashley a copy of FM - he's gonna sign as many out of contract/contractual disputes as he can then ship the ones we don't really want for a modest fee and keep the ones we do heard it here first
  2. did they ever claim a membership number at any point?
  3. i think so too, guess that's why international management is the hardest there is - you can't just pull in someone for a position where you're weak
  4. well, in the results business he's in wouldn't buying a replacement make sense if he had the money? why would you fuck around with someone when you can buy what you want off the shelf and potentially reap the rewards on the pitch faster? devil's advocate of course Yeah, I guess, but his track record suggests that, potentially, that's what cripples the clubs he's been to. Could be that each new replacement that comes in wants a higher wage then the last - no idea if that's true. no redknapp fan but i don't hold that against him - it's not (or it shouldn't be) his call to make on finances other than maybe "there's the budget work within it twitchy" if clubs have been stupid enough to allow him free reign or whatever then they get what they deserve, for me HR has only done what a football manager should and that's whatever he thinks will improve results on the pitch

  6. at the end of the day we invented the modern game and the following have all seen it in their country more than once, and therefore more than us: germany (inc. west) brazil (inc next one) france italy mexico (twice in 16 years) it's bollocks, time to send it to england thanks
  7. i'll take redknapp seriously when he's went and won something with spurs and hasn't fucked off at the first sign of a better opportunity (which to be fair is only going to be england now) if he's there in another 4 years and they've even challenged for the league once i'll be impressed/amazed otherwise meh
  8. just seen the spain/portugal story pretty much fucks things then in all probability great, still was thinking of moving to spain by then so every cloud
  9. we haven't had any players worthy of a "silly money" bid since ashley came in really, carroll is about the first imo think people are assuming he'd take the first decent looking offer due to his previous in being a fucking dickhead in everything football related
  10. was wondering about your backup when i saw that this morning, are the wheels likely to come off harry's wagon?
  11. you obviously know a lot of bellends to be fair he did say a few, i was a little harsh saying a lot
  12. has there been a definitive look at what the impact of the financial regulations will be when they eventually kick in? i'd be interested to hear what experts think is gonna happen
  13. "Someone with fresh ideas" Oh really? Like who? When Wenger starts spending £30 million every window and isn't winning anything then you maybe consider even allowing the thought of getting rid of him to enter your head. The man makes a profit every window on transfers for goodness sake, and yet he finishes in the top four every season. If Arsenal wanted the guarantee of remaining as competitive as they were previously then they should have remained at Highbury and not built the new stadium. Ultimately they'll have the last laugh, as they will be the strongest club financially soon enough, as everyone else starts to crumble, bar Man City perhaps. There is no one out there I could see achieving what Wenger does with the amount of money he has been spending, never mind playing the football they play. No one. Terrible idea to get rid of him. Arsenal have got plenty of cash to spend, wenger refuses to spend it, £120M in cash from their last accounts. Is that why the guy completely refuses to buy a new keeper despite having 3 which are more than useless. Money isn't the problem here, it's the manager refusing to buy experienced players that have a winning mentality. neesy wrong on this board too
  14. Did anyone watch the game yesterday? Were they actually rubbish? I know they lost, but they had 32 shots to 3, and 16 corners to 4. I know their job is to break the oppo down, but it looks like the bus-parking exercise to end all bus-parking exercises. fucking hell

this, unless the coaching staff have decided now he's not got what it takes long-term (unlikely) then he should go in when the first choice MF is out regardless...he'll end up a stronger player for it even if he's on the end of hidings, which we'd get with smith in the team anyways
  16. never saw the game but all of the papers are saying carroll was bright and played well without any decent service obviously those bitter mackems will know better though
  17. no doubt been said but i reckon if we make any moves they'll be players coming out of contract in the summer, offer their clubs a pittance they might take instead of nothing not saying it's a bad thing either
