  1. is that not a score in favour of VAR to some degree, knowing they're under so much more scrutiny might cut down on these ego calls and wild nonsense decisions
  2. early like but he looks the real deal to me, think it's Kaka saying he looks very mobile and comfortable on the ball for a big lad
  3. bruce should have known this, arguably pissed the first two games away with him forcing shelvey into the team
  4. i'd replace him with shortstaff myself and see how that goes shelvey will never cut it
  5. this is the main issue with it at the moment isn't it, implementation i mean that man city goal that was disallowed, for example, was not a clear and obvious error but they decided to act on it That’s because of the handball part of the law, So in essence it was a clear error as the referee didn’t see it clear and obvious is the wording, the touch with his arm was barely perceptible with VAR never mind for the ref it was bullshit
  6. How about implementing a proper fit and proper persons test? How about instead of postponing games which would gain clubs like Bolton and Bury income, they let them play those games? How about as part of FFP, if your club is showing sings of financial difficulty then an administrator by the league is ordered to take control of the football club until the club is a better situation? How about there is a better trickle down of money to other clubs? How about instead of just sitting on the sidelines when their members go to the wall, they actually do something to prevent it. Both the FA and EFL have stood and watched what has happened at Bolton and Bury and let it happen. The EFL have actively taken action that would hinder both clubs from being rescued. feels like at the very least they should have a contingency fund in place to help out clubs from going bust, players and staff not getting paid etc.

  8. any of the rags seen it for what it was or is he getting all the praise?
  9. unless you have a specific idea and philosophy of your own, of course, which he absolutely does not
  10. have you ever watched football, did you watch the games last season? alright then, we can't afford him, who do we play instead?
  11. i'm a little concerned after that, i thought he would come in and copy everything benitez did for last year but he seemed intent on his own ideas which was going great if he sticks with that system we'll stay up, have said that all along, and if he has an ounce of sense he'll not change it now
  12. i've not seen it again but i did wonder if the touch was intentional to take it where it went as it was perfect to keep him away from the defender but it was also quite far away from him
  13. But that's not what happened in my opinion. Lascelles didn't impede him or stop him getting a shot away, Kane decided to lean and use the contact to throw himself to the floor looking for a penalty. That contact doesn't take him down without him going looking for it. These decisions go either way. If given I doubt VAR would have over turned it, but not a clear and obvious error.
  14. Kane leaned his body towards Lascelles. Was looking for the penalty IMO. precisely, the ball was there but he stopped moving toward it and looked for lascelles instead correct call
  15. Hard to tell where his fitness levels are at after that injury like, looks lacking in confidence too. Having said that, while his performance wasn't great it's another good result with him and Hayden in the centre of midfield, which I'm inclined to think isn't a coincidence. thought he got caught/fucked up a couple of times early on on the ball and it really affected him, him and hayden then seemed to concentrate more on the defensive side and keeping things solid and he seemed to settle down one of the big features of his play last season was his forward play, hope he can recover that or he's just gonna be another mctominay
  16. i thought it was the right call on the penalty, lascelles went over and brushed him but it was hardly a barge or anything...kane basically held his position rather than moving to the ball which he could have done in order to buy a penna
  17. no shock how he suddenly looks like that when shelvey isn't playing, and he's not isolated from everything else around him
  18. much better when it's played into his feet like, you'd hope they'll notice that
  19. i've got £170 riding on a spurs win so all things considered hope eriksen has a blinder
  20. why would you change it? he's pretty much inherited the exact same squad except we have 2 different attackers anyone with an ounce of sense wouldn't have touched that system, which is why he's so shit
  21. which bruce should never have changed if he'd had a modicum of sense or knowledge
  22. It wasn't great defending, but bit harsh to say it was a gift look how much space he's in man, at this level it's a gift wonder if he meant that first touch to go where it did as well pleased for the lad himself like, played ok and i think he's a decent player
  23. people going a bit overboard like, we've sat incredibly deep and defended last ditch very well but spurs have started the game without a player capable of breaking teams down when they need one as for the goal it was a gift, we'll not see much poorer marking in areas like that this season
