  1. bruce needs to play him on the left ffs, i can't believe people aren't more annoyed it about it tbh it's so fucking obvious
  2. yeah i'm not sure about xhaka at all, he's spent x number of years at arsenal under good management with good players in teams that control play, he'd be another shelvey without the passing range imo
  3. so he's 100% right then, the don? all the immediate risk is on them kind of ignores what the americans would do if they ended up with a L1 club bleeding money mind
  4. i'm not convinced we'd have been that much better off at this stage under rafa, end of the season a different story
  5. what's the one thing he could do that would send the wankers and gammon into an irretrievable fury? whatever it is i want little more than him to do it maybe singlehandedly win every euro 2020 game for us up to the final, then rescue us in the final when harry kane gets sent off so raheem has to win it all on his own lifts the trophy cause kane can't or summit and thanks jeremy corbyn for being his inspiration and tells boris johnson to fuck off something like that
  6. i'm not 100% sold on the guy but said i'd like to see someone competent instead of ritchie in the LWB role as i think we'd look much better for it and i reckon i'm right ritchie has his strengths but i never felt comfortable with his overall use of the ball in that role, thought he got his head down too much and ignored a lot of good passing opportunities
  7. EDIT: suppose he needs someone to conjour up the the bi-annual fakeover stories mind
  8. without reading the details sounds like he's loaned £10m or whatever and intends to pay that back via promotion/sale of the club when it's more valuable again? same plan as when he took it in the first place
  9. this is exactly, exactly what they want to happen and have expected it to happen since the moment they signed bruce it's ashleys MO at NUFC, do whatever the fuck he wants because our daft cunt fans will get over it, indeed it'll all blow over in the words of his PR guy thanks for posts like this, fuck steve bruce and the lot of them
  10. are you not even watching on telly or streams? get that fixed man, allow yourself to watch ASM he's mint
  11. Ole isn't getting sacked like. I don't how people can't see the situation. What would you have realistically expected that team to achieve, no matter who the manager was? The realistic expectation was 5th/6th with an outside chance of having a go at qualifying for the CL. The main issue was recruitment and signing the right players for the team. James, Wan-Bissaka and Maguire were and have been very good signings for the team. Two or three more good windows are required to get the team in shape to challenge but we're on the right track. We're sitting in 7th at the minute, 1 point off 5th with a couple of games coming up that we should be winning. The way people talk is like we're going to be relegated. fascinating to me that having grown up with ferguson in charge of the club you're apparently willing to overlook the importance of good, quality management for some reason nostaljaer is shite, face it
  12. the chance where the keeper took it off him and almiron pelted it at him on the deck was like performance art i'm mainly watching the games now to see how the manage to contrive not to score now
  13. Was the same under pardew. Just wait until we go on a bad run with the current formation, then he won't have a clue. said the same yesterday, he;s (sensibly) riding the rafa wave atm probs next season before the wheels come off
  14. i only skimmed the tweet but did i see correctly that nostaljaer has been invited to the elite coaches forum and rafa hasn't? i know OGN is invited but couldn't see rafa's name on a quick skim
  15. i love watching him, is there anyone else in the league at the moment who can ghost past people through the middle of the pitch like he does? that's what has surprised me the most about him, assumed he was going to be a straight up winger but what's setting him aside is that defenders can't send him inside as he's just tearing through them when they do it as easily as he can out wide as others have said considering he's playing under steve fucking bruce and team that clearly has no attacking plan he's doing remarkably well imo He makes me forget we have Steve Bruce. I don't think I'd even bother watching games this season if we didn't have him and Schar agreed, this plus willing almiron to succeed because if anyone deserves to do so for attitude and workrate it's almiron
  16. i love watching him, is there anyone else in the league at the moment who can ghost past people through the middle of the pitch like he does? that's what has surprised me the most about him, assumed he was going to be a straight up winger but what's setting him aside is that defenders can't send him inside as he's just tearing through them when they do it as easily as he can out wide as others have said considering he's playing under steve fucking bruce and team that clearly has no attacking plan he's doing remarkably well imo
  17. have always thought he'd keep us up if he stuck with rafa's system, which he's doing (when he's tried to fuck with it we've looked a disgusting mess) first couple of games looked a total disaster but seems an anomaly, maybe the players freaking out after 3 years of rafa to the 3 steves
  18. i'm rather unhappy with him tbh; him, almiron, joelinton, the longstaffs, hayden and so on they're making it really fucking hard not to care/watch because i like so many of them i don't want them to fail on a personal level but still want bruce/ashley to burn not happy at all
  19. Again, what in the actual fuck are you talking about? If 3 years of Rafa didn't teach you what a world class manager can do with shit compared to a total no mark like OG Nostaljaer then I can't help you.
  20. Afaik Rafa only said no due to the fee, rather than not rating his ability or potential.
  21. This is a fucking remarkable statement from someone that presumably lived through the Ferguson era.
