That's IF the yank who gave them the finance see it as a football club as opposed to development land. The big million dollar question. If they were really that interested in the football club then they would have taken over already. but isn't that dickhead wanting £30-40m for it, if you're the yanks why not lend them £10m and if they fail to pay take the lot for a fraction of the asking price?

he's either really, really struggling with confidence from injuries or he's not digging it all all under bruce (or both i guess) when he came in for Ki last year he took over the way Ki was playing (before that it had been Shelvey long ball tripe) and everything he did was forward looking and with intent to move the ball constructively up the pitch every single time i've seen him under bruce he's really static like he's been told to protect only and when he does get on the ball seems to be looking sideways or backwards :/

EDIT: aye "Liverpool's all-time Premier League low attendance is 22,519 against vacuum icons Wimbledon in October 1994 but this was a) against Wimbledon and b) in a period when the Kop was being turned into an all-seater stand."
-
that must have surely been when they were developing one of the stands, when the kop was out? same for that manyoo crowd?
-
if that's true we need hummel kits, HUMMEL
-
this is what i don't get about the joelinton criticism in particular myself, i'm not saying he is or is even going to be good but i can't judge him on what i've seen of him up top under bruce as i've also said vs. burnley he looked better roaming around searching for space and had some low, hard balls fizzed into him that he dealt with very well imo
-
the parallels with pardew are insane really, he's chugging along playing an entirely unsustainable style of football being carried by defenders scoring all the goals i mean nothing could go wrong with that plan right wheels might not come off this season, but they'll come off signing players in january wouldn't even help, he clearly doesn't have a scooby how to improve our attacking game without shipping millions of goals
-
yeah he was incredible for a time, and actually seemed like a legit human being for a period as well
-
only dipping in and out of the threads these days but he looked far more comfortable vs. burnley roaming about and looking for the ball than he does standing 50 yards from the rest of the team trying to get his head on long balls

We have a player that can score goals in Dwight Gayle, the problem is the dickhead 'coaching' them into a system which renders us impotent. that's gayle who no manager in history has ever trusted to play in the PL is it i'm bruce's harshest critic and you're right about the system, but it doesn't work for gayle
-
Imma go full Joker if he plays Almiron on the right like
-
he's done better than i expected at this stage, even considering he's done little but stick with rafa's system bear in mind he's lost schar, now lascelles, and not had lejeune at all he deserves some credit for it not falling to bits my suspicion is, however, that we'll see the opposite of the rafa 2nd half season bounce as all the players fall to bits through the winter, classic PFM style
-
this is a classic shelvey "purple patch", was stood watching man city score bent over with his hands on his knees as per usual difference is he's added a bit of end product for a couple of games, fair play to him, but no one should be under any illusions that wheels aren't gonna come off
-
it's killing me seeing him on the right for entire games, everything is wrong because he's so one footed, his body shape when receiving the ball...he can't go past people properly little bits i saw of the man city game he got some time on the left, put in a decent ball i remember (though there was no one in the box obvs) and was involved in a goal because he's such a heavily left sided player can't see how it would hurt the side so much to swap him and ASM for a few games
-
he'll see breaking the big 3 over there as an achievement i reckon
-
HTT[/member] yeah he's playing wide right in a front 3 but drops very deep and tracks back a shitload obvs as regards this yes i think ASM could absolutely play right, he's got two feet and has the balance to take people on either side whereas almiron is lost where he is due to being so one footed, i guess the idea might be to play him left so he can cut in but we're not playing high enough up the pitch for that - he needs to be on the left where he can get it out of his feet and run past people into space*, the times he's doing that at the moment he's in completely the wrong position and place to do anything with the ball i'm not saying 100% it would solve all of our problems but it staggers me that bruce hasn't even tried it yet *memba that call goal he set up for paraguay, against argentina wasn't it? that's what he needs to be doing for us from the left, getting into space and putting the ball across for runners into space

i've always wondered about these famed academies from sunderland and middlesbrough - for all the fanfare they get/got do they genuinely produce any more top level players than we have over the years, even the horrendous ashley years? i'm not and have never been convinced they have
-
Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)
mrmojorisin75 replied to Nobody's topic in Football
we'll miss his leadership and presence if nothing else imo, not sure we have anyone else in the squad close to him in that respect -
be interesting to see if he'd walk out after agreeing his project, i can't see it myself compo for him would be fucking mental as well
-
didn't realise he's doing that well, any idea who they're playing with him and in what formation? i was surprised it went so badly for him under jokanovic as i thought he'd be good in a 4-3-3 with pacy wide forwards
-
i signed up for a free month then £30 for a year or something, there just wasn't enough content for me to be bothered even at that price if i'm paying an NUFC specific journalist to read NUFC stories then i want to see the cunt exposing ashley/charnley etc. i don't want bruce fluff pieces i could get out of the chronicle with an ad blocker
-
i think that's debateable but he's obviously very good and i've always been a fan of his when it comes to the crunch england are too easy to shut down, sit deep and stifle the wide attacking players also crowding kane out - when you come up against that you need a player than can do something different and open teams up with the ball and i don't think we have it sure strerling or sancho might skin a player with a bit of skill or whatever but that's a shot in the dark and not an overall plan about how to play, imo - i reckon we need an ACM that can pull the strings and utilise the pace and quality we have up front when it counts, it's no good dicking loads of shite teams and fucking it up when it counts
-
sterling/sancho are of the same ilk imo, pacy dangerous wide forwards but they don't run games at the top level maddison could be the one we're looking for but he'll probably need to leave leicester soon and get some proper CL experience
-
putting aside the nuances of those individual players we completely lack a player that can dictate a game at the highest level in an attacking sense, we have my entire life and nothing is different now none of those players would change that we have some good attacking players but no one of the highest level pulling the strings, until we have one of them we'll win fuck all unless we get very lucky
