most likely scenario was said earlier on; he's probably back in spain sorting stuff out before coming back then the announcement with the club possibly hoping it'll be a dual announcement and allowing him to head back on that basis not worried about this signing in the slightest -

So did David Rozenhal! Is this forum on a rerun? Every summer is a rerun with NUFC. First there are no or very few signings and some people start to get nervous. The "sensible" posters then laugh at those people and talk about how much time it is left etc. Time goes and we miss most of our targets and hear lots of stuff about why this happened etc. Roeder being the master of that. We get some players in and in the end you always feel underwhelmed and that we are not ready for the new season. totally and utterly bang on the nose mate different now though, with mike at the helm doncha know!! If it's the same as it's ever been, what the hell are you whining about? i know dave, that's what the lads saying -

Seriously mate do me a favor and knob off, I don't give a toss if I get banned because your doing my fucking nut in. So far regardless of net spend (which apparently signifies ambition) we have addressed the back line and signed too very promising lads to play in the middle of the park. I have no doubt there will be more, it would be a bloody idiot who settles on this squad in its current state and if they don't I'm sure it won't be for the want of trying. The problem is there's far too many so called "fans" such as yourself, who can't seem to wait until the transfer window shuts so they can sit behind their computers and wet themselves as they type "I told you so", so before you start whinging again at least wait until the windows closed before you make your pessimistic and frankly unfounded assessment. hilarious -
how so? Because successful teams have never had these fantasy players, and yet people on here think that signing Elano will have a dramatic effect. It won't. thought i'd covered myself by writing midfield (or playmaker) but apparently not i mean imagination james, personally i don't think it should be coming from a CM position as such but more from the beardsley role if you will...you can afford a more workman like midfield if you have it elsewhere (see the cantona point) but personally i feel we lack creativity...whether spiderman or guthrie can cover that time will tell personally i think it needed addressing, to date it hasn't been

Stephen Warnock denies handing in transfer request

because he's already got a bundle of other youngsters who are just as good When Clichy was coming through after they sold Cole, he was using a central midfielder at left back to cover. Odd that he didn't go for Paul Konchesky really. pack it in, you're making sense -

nice poll btw, nice and unbiased How is it biased? well given all the talk of "the future" & "plans" and "youngsters" or whatever else we've been hearing why ask such an immediate question? why not ask "do you think the club should essentially replace 22 year old enrique with 26 year old warnock?"? equally subjective, you might even get the same answer, i don't know... but it's ultimately the same as asking, should one be fit and we signed the other, "who's the best player at the moment, viduka or derdiyok?" anyway i've had enough, bring on sunday and sep 1st can't some soon enough for me We aren't replacing Enrique with anyone. All we are doing is bringing another LB to the club and if Enrique is good enough he'll still play. How can that possibly be a bad thing? read the earlier posts edd, to all intents and purposes we're "replacing" him in the first team aren't we? if not we're signing an inferior player? can't be arsed, the points been made elsewhere So we aren't allowed to sign a player who will replace him, but we aren't allowed to sign a player who will be behind Enrique in the pecking order? Damned if we do, damned if we don't. same to you james, read the earlier stuff re: bassong etc... -

yeah, too simple/difficult a question were man u being ambitious when they signed cantona from leeds? some man u fans maybe thought not at the time...as wullie says on another thread look at arsenal, are they unambitious not replacing their bairns with older equivalents? bollocks for me if something is broke and needs fixing, so to speak, and it doesn't get fixed then the club could perhaps be said to lack ambition...to qualify that i mean if the club don't take steps to fix it, as mr NE5 points out amongst others money & signings are no guarantee of success we need a midfield (or a playmaker), desperately, have done for years; if we don't fix that problem this summer then....

long day dave? Just getting fed up with the complaints again, sorry. I suppose it boils down to the fact I don't think we're anywhere near as bad as some people make out. dave, we're not man, but why you'd be "happy" with warnock (or an equivalent player) escapes me completely to move us forward we need to be targetting better than him, and that's a fact Like who? give dennis, kk or the other guy a call that's what they're paid the millions for So what you're saying is we need better but you can't name anyone, I'm guessing that's because there isn't a great deal of top quality left backs kicking about at the moment. i can't comment as such, personally i'd imagine there are plenty but given i'm not paid to study football and scout players day in day out i struggle to imagine why you'd ask my opinion on the matter -

oh, wow, cheers mate, someone reads!!!!...i didn't think it was that revolutionary or outlandish either, if you read it posts are made to be read iyam imo it's not about ambition or lack thereof. just because we haven't completed the puzzle re recruitment this summer yet, does not exhibit a lack of ambition. conversely, just because we've splashed out 10 million on a centre half doesnt exhibit ambition either. it's the total sum of it all, come the end of this coming season, that will give us an indication where this club is headed. so far, with all the restructuring going on at the club from top to bottom, the way i personally see it, we are moving in the right direction, and thus showing ambition to grow and claim our rightful place as a top club in the league (including league position) patience doesn't cost anything, but medical attention costs a bundle. i hope some people would just calm the fuck down for now, and save popping that artery for when you catch your bird shagging someone she shouldnt be keep the faith that's a damn fine post, i must say

interesting summation, i'll not bother making a humorous parody of your username however there are few absolutes; our summer to date is simply not good enough, there's one for you though if i was a spurs fan i'd be equally unimpressed i have to say, as many other people have pointed out they've not addressed the issues with their squad so spend (gross or net) isn't everything i refer you back to our summer transfers to date at this point Oh dear me it must have slipped my mind the transfer window had closed, its been a longer day than suspected. Oh I suppose that means I can judge our summer spending. No, I don't think anyone is delusional to think if we stopped buying now we'd have anything less than a troublesome season, the fact is it's open for a another good couple of weeks yet where I'm sure Keegan et al will be grafting their bollocks off to bring some new faces in. Whether they're big money signings or not we'll see, but the fact is you can't surely judge a clubs progress 2/3 of the way through a transfer market on their net spend, or are you really that foolish? ok, continue to repeatedly ignore all of my posts, including the opening one and last one where i write "summer transfers to date" after others not liking the net spend part, which is fair enough go back to my first post and again, we'll see where we are sep 1st...RIGHT NOW it's not good enough is what i said and i hope to be dealt a swift kick in the balls by uncle mike and kk but i doubt it right now, like it or not, the clubs spend is virtually the same as we ended MA's first summer season in charge, fact, whether it stays that way will tell it's own story Rightio so why the fuck are you getting your knickers in a twist then? 'cause no-one reads posts anymore, they focus on something that supports what they want to say even if it's a tiny part of something else then push it to the limit - everything i summed up for you there was in my first post but you and others never read it properly, you just started on about net spend and 7 other kinds of bullshit did no-one read my post and think "hm, yeah, our current net spend is very similar to last season isn't it?" course they didn't, despite the fact it is

nah look one post above mate, we're only 2/3 of the way through the window doncha know? i'll preempt other posts: 1. no-one else has done much in the window (should help us eh?) can't be arsed with any more really, it's a bit sad good post btw
