  1. with no further signings? spurs with the right ones, US regardless not everton or villa
  2. They've got good players, but most are flawed, and this can breed inconsistency, that a team with good spirit and an inkling of abilty, such as Everton or Villa last season can beat. what, THE FUCK, are you two on about? 5th best team is the 5th best team, in the same way as we had the best team and finished 2nd once... proving it means fuck all...(in a sense) how can you sit and type that spurs having easily the best squad of players outside the top 4 doesn't mean they're the 5th best team? mental and none of that is to mention villa, i mean villa? REEEEALLY? does anyone consider them that good? pitiful
  3. interesting, if villa & everton are considered to have the best starting 11's outside the top four i've just cheered the fuck up we're 2 signings away from having a starting 11 that will make both of them a joke as big a joke as people honestly believing spurs don't have the 5th best team really but that's a moot point....
  4. maybe they just meant he can't play and got the word wrong? scousers, after all...
  5. interesting no-ones piped up about bentley now he's gone - everyone presumably took the posters down off the walls and stopped wanking over him now then? deco is top class and what we actually need in the team, so him
  6. can't and won't believe that, as afar says above it could be done but we'd have to take the hit on fees ain't gonna happen is it? oh and if he knows they're THAT bad then why not throw in zamblera or another bairn instead of them...why give shite the never ending chance to keep proving themselves shite? never understood this, we know duff won't beat a man or create a goal, we know smith won't score and the same for ameobi...so what is the fucking point carrying on with them other than we pay them more than the bairns and they're "experienced" $10 crack whores are experienced as well, lets chuck them in for a laugh too Fees has got nothing to do with it, who's going to pay them the disgusting wages they're both on? I'd see them both go for free but they're not going to walk away for a massive paycut. I agree that I'd rather see the likes of Zamblera in, for me neither should ever pull the black and white on again but that's me, most people would disagree with me judging by the amount of people fooled by Duff's showings in pre-season. depends man, wages become less of an issue without a fee, clubs would see that as justifiable for players of their "calibre"...balance the fee into the wages if you see what i mean anyways like you say there must be a reason they're not gone, wish i knew what the fuck it was then i could do something about it yeah duff eh? i'll be getting carried away again but he's "looked good" i'm told...0 goals and a maximum possible 1 assist in four games right?...what stats, can't wait til he's up against the shite in the PL week in week out rather than doncaster and relegated spanish teams otherwise i'd be worried
  7. assuming noone else signs ----------------Martins---------------- -----Zoggy-------------Owen--------- Guthrie------Butt/Faye---------Jonas same back four as TT bit like robsons "robert" formation a way (one "winger")...fluid, martins working the right channel zog the left...owen floating about ala last season makes sense to me to crowbar in the people who can produce the most, and milner doesn't fit into that category
  8. can't and won't believe that, as afar says above it could be done but we'd have to take the hit on fees ain't gonna happen is it? oh and if he knows they're THAT bad then why not throw in zamblera or another bairn instead of them...why give shite the never ending chance to keep proving themselves shite? never understood this, we know duff won't beat a man or create a goal, we know smith won't score and the same for ameobi...so what is the fucking point carrying on with them other than we pay them more than the bairns and they're "experienced" $10 crack whores are experienced as well, lets chuck them in for a laugh too
  9. Wtf? First of all, it was well documented that several clubs have had offers for Shola accepted, but he simply won't budge - how's that our fault? As for Smith... erm, who the f*** has made an offer for him then? So it's the board's fault for: 1, not being able to change free will of a human being. and 2, not making other clubs bid for our players. being on first name terms with Shola for a while I know that if the guy knew he wasn't wanted he'd f*** off, no question. No way he'd drag his heels unless convinced he had a job to do here. As for Smith, he's ex Man U, played for England as recently as last season, you dont think if we made him available teams wouldn't bite? I'm really confused about the Shola situation, why hasn't he moved ? Is it him or the club. I agree with Ronaldo, if we put Shola on the transfer list, I'm sure he would go. Got the feeling though that he has been told he still has a chance here. Where I disagree with Ronaldo here is the amount, I would puthim out there for 1 million I would even accept half of that if we didn't get anyone to bite, the likes of Hull, Fulham, Stoke, Norwich and Ipswich I think would take him. And he would go if we placed him on the transfer list. I made a point earlier in the close season about the need to be pretty agressive at getting rid of the dead wood. I argued that we should make players available for bargain prices to generate interest and get rid. I would put Smith out there for 1 - 1.5 mill, if we did and made it clear to him that he had no future with us, then he would go in a shot, some foolish team would write us a cheque. OK so we loose 5 million on our initial investment but we save 10 million on his wages. Bottom line is, if we were really serious about getting rid of either or both, I think we could. I tend to agree with Ronaldo, someone either Ashley, Jimenez/Wise or Keegan has made the decision that our striking options are adequate. very much agreed afar, about being aggressive in getting shot of the dead wood there's enough money floating about in the game these days that if smith became available for 1.5m the likes of wigan/mackems/west ham (maybe)/'boro not to mention the promoteds would be beating a path to our fucking door same for shola especially from the promoted teams, and duff from similar clubs to smith lets imagine 5m in fees for the three of them plus the wages saving combined, instead look at what we're facing next season...that 5m might have bought say derdiyok or whatever his name is it was my biggest fear with kk maybe, when SA was sacked i just thought we needed a manager to come in and say "you're not good enough, fuck off son" and stick a bairn in instead til he got the message how much is down to kk and how much to the board is another question but i sincerely hope kk didn't look at smith, duff & shola last season and see something, that would be the most worrying of all
  10. i'd go with that yeah, he CAN finish when it's laid on a plate for him and i guess he could get near the plate if played up front makes more sense than him being totally fucking redundant on the wing - zog outstrips him in every area from what i can see, except "attitude" apparently still kk knows best i hope
  11. this. whatever people think of charlie's attitude give him enough time on the pitch in the right position and he'll do SOMETHING Didn't last season. Zoggy did more than Duff: Zoggy 07/08 - 32 appearances 3 goals 5 Assists Duff 07/08 - 16 appearances 0 goals 0 assists how many of those 32 were at LB also? mental people are taking this line, mental he's just smith with real blonde hair instead of dyed
  12. lets both of us ask ourselves that question again at the end of the season and see how it sounds
  13. this. whatever people think of charlie's attitude give him enough time on the pitch in the right position and he'll do SOMETHING Didn't last season. so he got enough time on the pitch in the right position last season did he james? come on...
  14. this. whatever people think of charlie's attitude give him enough time on the pitch in the right position and he'll do SOMETHING i've got a huge blind spot here with duff, what the fuck is keegan doing? maybe trying to shop window the little guiness swiller into oblivion, no other explanation, none
  15. touche - who's someone that's missing permanently that no-one is interested in remotely? oh yeah, damien duff, self fulfilling prophecy!
  16. if we play 4-4-2 next season, or indeed any formation really, and duff is our first choice i'm going to start self-harming hate smith all you like but at least he fouls people, at least you know he's there and running around and he might inadvertently get in someones way and win the ball back...damien duff might as well be lord lucan on a matchday
  17. Well I never like to be pedantic but I think you need to register a player on the Friday to play in the weekedn games so that's only 10 days left, well probably 9 days since the business day is almost over. Yeah stacks of time, all these people panicking really need a reality check This will be the team I believe will line up on Sunday. Given Beye Colocini Taylor Enrique Jonas Gerimi Butt Guthrie Duff Martins Subs: Harper Zog Bassong Faye Milner Smith Shola DUFF? reeeeeallly? aw, f*** hope your drunk afar 'cause i'm off on my holidays and i'm as depressed as f*** now...duff, jesus christ i mean how bad can zogs attitude be? what is he a pot head or summat? I think Duff's looked good in the preseason matches. Certainly better than most. ain't seen 'em i'm afraid - so he's found the ability to beat a man now then? and be dangerous to the opposition? if not what's the point, might as well send him to the glue factory

  19. what's your intention in posting that bontempi? mass suicide? Think it's our only option now! the old classic - what's the manager supposed to say when asked about his only fit striker? "he's a heap of shit and we can't give him away"? keegan was a great striker so he'll know exactly how bad smith is, problem is he may know he can't get rid therefore motivation & hope are all that's left when i say hope, by the way, i mean hope that owen/oba/fats duke stay fit!!
  20. what's your intention in posting that bontempi? mass suicide?
  21. i'd feel sorry for dyer if he wasn't a multimillionaire who pissed all his chances to be great at a great club up a wall feel sorry for prospects who have their leg snapped in half at 17 and never come back, or kids that get released at 18 or summik kieron dyer, i've got more sympathy for STD's, they can't really help what they are
  22. uri geller moment - if everyone honestly & totally resigns themselves to smith being here next season we might create such a wave of negative psychology that someone will come in and bid for him in fact all of our posts should now be about how good he is, how misunderstood, how he's played out of position, just needs a goal, had awful luck, no support, we're off to get "smith 17" tattoos, lobby for a statue outside the ground or a renaming of the east stand... you get the idea better than living in the hope that another professional football club will take him off our hands on 60k p/w wages by actually watching his performances, no? same goes for shola really i'm also changing my email address to [email protected]
  23. wow, amazing thread this one...most of our best (proven performers) aren't playing for a variety of reasons and we've never been in such a mess before? i've my fair share of negativity about what we're laying out on players but this is way out of my league staggering...hope someone bumps this later in the season
  24. Just to put that into context, we still owe Alan Smth over £10million if he stays until the end of his contract woah!
