gonna throw this out there now 'cause i'm bored, get slated for it, then we'll see where we are sep 1st: so far 4 players in right? assuming coloccini signs at the moment our net spend is virtually identical to last year isn't it? say 10m + 2m + 1m (signing on, guess) + 1m (bassong) = 14m spent out go emre 3m + rozenthal 2m = 5m recouped, can't even be bothered to think if anyone else has gone for a fee but don't think so maybe some leeway in those figures but you see what i'm getting at i think all will join me in sincerely hoping these numbers are not the same come september 1st, another net spend of 10m-ish will be nothing short of a travesty - oh but wait, mike said in a club generated interview that the moneys there so we'll be OK 'cause kevin can sign the players he wants, i'm more relaxed than ever....oh no but shit the newspapers say there's no money to spend and there's turmoil in the camp with KK over signings/sellings what to believe? (please, please take the last part as tongue in cheek...the first part, up to you)

Name a black dude with dreads. Footballer status optional.

what's his story then, djalo? any good? -
still snippets only? no-one seen the whole thing yet? i'm interested in his ambitions short to long term as much as anything else...he was always gonna say there's money to spend wasn't he? not like he's gonna come out and say "kevs gotta sell before he can buy" i'd like to know where he wants the club to go and how fast he wants to get there, that's the interesting part for me one thing to come out of the false takeover rumours last weekend was the thing with steve mcmahons group who are in talks to link up in the far east, suggests long term thinking to me...raise the profile of the club globally again

i love this, i do HOW are spurs the same then? i'd loooooooove to hear it What did Spurs do very well last season? Scored goals in vast quantities. So what have they done, bought a number of creative midfielders, to help them score vast quantities of goals. Will they score more than they did last season, who knows, maybe not due to selling their most proven goal scorer. What did Spurs also do well last season? Conceded goals by the hat full. So what have they done? Nothing. There's no strength in midfield to protect the back four and they've actually brought no one in to strengthen the back line. It's like us really, buying an aging defensive midfielder a striker who can score goals and a bit of pace upfront. What's the point when we're already well stocked in those areas. It's the problem areas you need to address to advance as a team. had a counter argument lined up but the booze kicked in, urgh..

These aren't realistic assumptions you can make though. You have to take into account form, age, fitness, injury record etc. One of the reasons Everton and Villa have been successful is with small squads they haven't gone out and bought players with horror injury records like we have. fucks sake dude, he states those points as assumptions in to OP read man

I honestly think Everton are just a bunch of well managed, average to good players, and that you've only got by recently because of chaos at other clubs. by the way james, that's fucken spot on about everton, straight up

Fabricio Coloccini signed from Deportivo La Coruña on 5 year deal

fair enough aye...coloccini, great signing imo - that's all that really needs to be said -
OK OK OK james has thrown something out there, lets NOT create a 100+ thread about it! its fuckin spurs anyways
-

"a" good player huh? i'll take that as a singular, beat it... Aye, the thread's about "a" player. Scraping the old negativity barrel with that one, weren't you? dude, know your audience, i ain't about the old/new board...just chose to pitch in for NE5 and you referred to one player therefore i replied about one player, does that still make the thread title relevant? Yeah, it does actually. You criticised me for talking about one player on a thread about one player. That, as I'm sure you'll agree now that you've had a minute to think about it, is pretty dumb. Dude. i criticised you for attacking NE5 because NE5 wouldn't kick off about us signing one player, he's a bigger picture man you're not it seems -
how villa? really, what have they actually got? Balance, strength, pace, organization and damn good manager. seriously we could argue this all night but we have equally, if not more, dangerous players than them compare villas first choice forwards with ours, for example

Perhaps KK just doesn't rate him. Or maybe he wants to go. wow, devils advocate gone mad perhaps he's got aids, or adhd?
-
this faye thing real? or just a paper story we're allowed to believe? kk selling a versatile good defender after spending 3 months trying to sign another? makes no sense
-
missed the s from dudes, i could see you were right...what the fucks the others on about?
-
It's far too early to hand the trophy to Spurs. That's for sure. They had the best squad outside the top four at the start of last season and look what it got them. Silverware? Portsmouth? Carling Cup? FA Cup? dude, are you all trying to out psych each other or something 'cause this is appaling
-
how villa? really, what have they actually got?
-
wow, epitaphs before he's gone tells the story really other than my immediate family & friends i never bat an eyelid when a celebrity dies...when bobby goes i'll be crying for sure NE5 it may have been made in the last 6 pages i don't know, but when bobby goes i hope freddy chokes on his millions the cunt....fuck everything else he disgraced that man, so much so i'm not sure he ever recovered from it

i'm drunk, what are you?

i think if we all just hope for smith to go, then deal with the aftermath when it happens... if it don't go through now the mushroom cloud will be immense!!!
-
a replacement for smith or just a striker? hopefully the latter
