  1. May not be able to play according to who? Your imagination? So what if it took a few weeks more then expected to complete the signing of Gutierrez, I suppose that's not a price worth paying to sign a 26 year old current Argie international for £2 million? I suppose you'd have preferred us to pay the £10 million his club valued him at so we could have played him against the likes of Doncaster, well worth the extra £8 million eh? i'll reiterate, the league is 38 games long when did it become acceptable to write august off? pitiful imo
  2. mine was similar except i thought owen might make a sneak appearance after training the day zog should be in the too... f***ing hell, if thats the line up we play i might jsut walk out before it kicks off What line up do you think he'll play ? I disagree with MrM, I don't think Owen will be ready and I'm not sure KK rates Zog higher than the midfield 4 I have put in there. thought zog with duff upfront you see? Yep, he could, but I think he'll be thinking well I need to have at least one recognised striker in my line up and smith unfortunately is the closest thing he's got available. just had a look and there's no smiley for wrist cutting pity You know what though, would surprise me in the least if we went there fielded that team and came away with something. I just got a feeling this may be the best time to play them. Or have I been at the bottle too ?? dude you must be mortal EDIT but i know what you're saying, i had a feeling too until i realised no new CB or guti on sunday
  3. Forcing Liverpool to act. In the next 22.5 hours? I don't think even Loans4U will turn around an application that quickly. i applaud you sir
  4. least they could have got a couple of typical "scottish looking" people for the ads!!!

  10. Wouldn't be surprised if it was some disagreement over agent fees tbh. seems me being jokey has gone down like a lead balloon so lets get back to it - yeah, strange one...his agent saying everythings done before we agree with depor, we agree with depor, there's a delay before he comes but he does come then the owner wears a shirt with his name on bonkers, what're we missing? for me there's nothing, that's why i have no doubt he'll sign...
  11. Yup. In fact although I'm pissed off the Jonas and Coloccini situations look like they'll be unresolved, Owen, Martins and Viduka will be missing and we'll be going into the game with a generally crap side, our season starts against Bolton. We were always going to lose at Old Trafford, so I'm not going to lose too much sleep over it. dave, genuine question here given our 'stances' during the summer; what do you think of the clubs "performance" with colo & guti? what i'm getting at is that i can't think of another club, perhaps granted there aren't that many of them as you don't tire of pointing out, who have transfers dragging on like we do in fact the villa transfer of shorey/young is a right slap in the face for the "transfers don't happen overnight crowd" - so what's going wrong with us then? I've said before I think the Jonas thing is a bit of a joke and that we should have seen some definitive action taken/answers given by now. However, I'm not going to beat up on the club about it because I just don't know the details. This is even more the case with Coloccini. There's a bit of a difference between signing players from different countries/leagues too btw. you just can't do it can you? take the step to say maybe somethings not perfect in mikes magical wonderland if neither of those two play sunday there's no other conclusion than they've made a total cunt of both deals if they do both play then what's with not confirming the deals? Complete bullshit of NE5 proportions. End of conversation. dave, i'm sorry man, will you talk to me again?! this is like actually being in coventry, rather than being sent there
  12. It's harsh to blame the club for this. I'm sure they've been doing everything they could to get it resolved, it's obviously complicated by him being part owned by that Argentinian club. One would expect the club to go through all the implications before taking the deal on though. It's pretty obvious Mallorca weren't going to be very pleased about us taking a player they feel is so valuable, and I'm disappointed we've committed to it without being certain from the outset. He looks a good player, but he's useless without his registration. sorry dave but i have to push it, so that's really not good enough is it? for a multi million pound business of a football club, it's just not for my part i reckon we'll end up paying a sweetener to mallorca or the argies to move it on
  13. It's harsh to blame the club for this. I'm sure they've been doing everything they could to get it resolved, it's obviously complicated by him being part owned by that Argentinian club. Fuck knows what's happening with this though, I can only imagine they are still in contract negotiations, and as we can see with Owen, the club don't seem to mind letting these things drag on. point 1 why announce it then? let him play in the friendlies at the expense of people who can play in the league point 2 maybe, personally thought terms were agreed before we'd reached an agreement with depor?
  14. not a bad point, doesn't detract from the issue at hand though does it? You said "if neither of those two play sunday there's no other conclusion than they've made a total cunt of both deals" does this point still stand if Coloccini wouldn't have played even if was confirmed last week. Basically none of us know what is happening in regards to Jonas registration or Coloccinis signing so far so we can't draw on conclusions unless we are basing them on guess work. ah ok jon, fair enough, i did say earlier if i was wrong i'd apologise but to my knowledge it seemed to be common consensus neither would play sunday

Complete bullshit of NE5 proportions. End of conversation. oh very good dave...but you can't cede ground - never, once, in any discussion we've had about the club post shepherd have you ever (as i recall) suggested all might not be as it seems without a massive proviso such as we have to wait until sep 1st before we can judge anything the league is 38 games long mate, we're expected to just give up on man u away for what fucking reason?
  16. not a bad point, doesn't detract from the issue at hand though does it?

  18. howay man surely you can see there's a question to ask here wullie? how isn't the jonas thing dragging on if his papers aren't sorted after this amount of time? unless i've misread what everyones saying about his chances of playing in which case i apologise if i've not misread it what's the crack like? we play him in pre-season games and appears to be our major ray of hope yet he can't play for us when we actually really need him? alls well then? We don't know anything about the circumstances though. If Mallorca are taking the piss, I'm sure the club aren't sitting on their hands not doing anything about it. Again we come back to only thinking something is happening when it's in the paper. fair point wullie, look at it another way; why announce the signings if they can't play? stinks of amateurism you reckon fergie would accept one of the glazers wearing a berbatov top before the deal was done - fair enough ashleys the owner but that makes it worse really, not better
  19. Yup. In fact although I'm pissed off the Jonas and Coloccini situations look like they'll be unresolved, Owen, Martins and Viduka will be missing and we'll be going into the game with a generally crap side, our season starts against Bolton. I realise your question wasnt aimed at me but it does raise some things i've been concerned about. The Guttierez registration farce seems incredibly amateurish. If we dont have his registration now (and the bugger was signed at the very end of June!) when are we going to get it? If Mallorca have refused to release it, why haven't we been badgering UEFA to step in? I cant imagine any other clubs just sitting back with their thumb up their arse waiting for a hacked off Mallorca to play ball. Secondly the Colo deal. In some ways the media black out is not a bad thing but its misleading and worrying for the clubs supporters when nothing is mentioned. We've been on the brink of signing this guy for weeks now and still no confirmation, not even an update on if and when he will be joining. I really think neither will be involved at Old Trafford and that alone will show us up to be amateurs. This shite just wouldnt be tolerated at other clubs. agreed mate, mentioning other clubs puts it in perspective really - wouldn't be tolerated nor should it who knows maybe they'll both play and we'll look like tits?

  21. wonder what all the wankers who think he held the club back reckon to him these days? if you're reading have a look at smith & shola vs man u then get back to me the sooner this man returns to the fold the better, legend

  23. no way will we start the season with either of them in our team, i just simply will refuse to believe it is true until the day i die, and then if i wake up in the afterlife and it turns out to have been true then i'm applying for a transfer to the devils side; an eternity of pain and suffering has to be preferable how could the summer have come to this, i'll genuinely be devastated and might well lose faith in humanity EDIT: shit, keep forgetting to point out when i'm being tongue in cheek
  24. so what's our potential team then? owen trained today right so he's gotta be a possibility...assume martins IS fucked and colo/guti don't make it: harper beye taylor cacapa (faye not fit right?) enrique guthrie butt geremi duff zog/milner owen 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 with duff ST and play for the draw? lord only knows
