My favourite moment today was the commentator going «You would imagine that if you’re playing for a Premier League club, you’d know how to play football. This guy clearly has some dirt on Benitez.» about Diame. Constantly hammered him.

I mean, I really want to like England. But the players are just really unlikable and Ihave no links to any of them, not to mention the sense of entitlement. -

I'm backing Iceland, Peru and Tunisia. Wouldn't mind Sweden doing alright either. Denmark needs to burn, though. Denmark, Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Spain, Uruguay, Belgium, Russia and Columbia can all go fuck themselves. -

Maybe we are listening to different pundits, but everyone I have heard has mentioned Group D as probably the most even and competitive in the tournament. Iceland are respected, though not favoured to advance. The amount of pundits out there makes it very likely we’ll have listened to different ones. You seem to have found reasonable pundits. Honestly think that group is the hardest to call, mainly because Argentina hasn’t been showing great form. The other three teams are pretty even, so if there’s an early upset against Argentina the group will be wide open. -

Aye. Iceland won't be an easy game for anyone I think, got a very tight and disciplined unit with fantastic team spirit. The players work really for one another and it's hard to break them down. I had kind of written off their Euro glory as a fluke and a once in a lifetime thing, but they played fantastically in the World Cup qualifiers and deservedly won their group. Still think Argentina and Croatia will go through but anything can happen, Argentina and Croatia weren't exactly convincing during the qualifiers. Yeah, I’m not saying I’m certain they’ll qualify. More that i’m incredibly annoyed at pundits saying Croatia is much stronger - makes me certain they don’t even know they were in the same qualifying group -

Reading the pundits take on Iceland’s chances is baffling. They write off their chances against, Argentina, which is fair enough. But then they say they have no chance against Croatia. Croatia. Also known as the country Iceland beat and placed above in the qualifiers for this World Cup. Do some research before pretending you know shit, pundits. God damn. -

Howay Iceland! -
Love when autobiography book titles are all poignant and shit. Like Claus Lundekvams "One last match", referring to his post-football struggle with drug addiction. Compare that title with the likes of Michael Owens autobiography, named "Michael Owen".

Out of all retired ex-NUFC players, who have done the best financially after their professional career? And are there any horror stories (finance wise, not alcohol/drug wise). Came to me as I just read about how John Carew has turned the £30 million he earned throughout his career into £170 million through property investments. Can't really think of too many retired players who've moved on to have successful post-football careers in other fields than TV.

That's actually how I imagine IanW to look. Nee offence. He does look like a young Pardew.

Hope Detroit gets an expansion team.

Don't like Seattle, but hope they rape Toronto. Don't need no fucking Canadians winning the US league.

Isn't that more than Harry Kane? £25k a week more than Kane

How is «proper stopper» a backhanded compliment? It literally means Lascelles is a proper stopper, whereas other stoppers are not as proper as he is. It’s a literal compliment as it elevates him above others at his position

Whataboutism. Deila not being a good manager does not equal Rodgers being a good manager. Celtic bossing the Scottish league does not equal Celtic being a good team.

Fucking up ALL my bets in the process. Fucking cunts.

Opposition gets a more defensive shape to protect their lead, allowing us more space to be attacking?
