  1. Gatt's good. Fast as fuck. Dunno if he's good enough for the PL though given how the defenders there can defend. King looked good in his two cameos on the national team. Got no basis otherwise to make a judgement. Though rather him than Abdellaoue purely down to the option of "King" on a shirt.

  3. Was thinking along the same lines earlier. Granted it's a bit weird to be a trophy snob when Newcastle haven't won one in ages, but it still wouldn't really be winning one in this Mickey Mouse competition where even Wolverhampton fucking Wanderers changes 10 players and fields their juniors. League Cup is a glorfied reserves cup.

Out of sheer curiousity I'd love to see him play a game. If only to make it clear he's actually shit and that's why he's not been playing.
  6. Forgot Obertan. You've done what we all wish we could. Respect.
  7. Pedestrian start from the forum as well. 6 mins in and barely done with one page.
  8. http://i2.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/004/592/my-brain-is-full-of-fuck.jpg Honestly don't get why most people on here seem to expect us to put out a first choice 11 for every. single. game. we play in any competition. Fuck that shit. At home we'll likely see some of our better players in the starting eleven. Away our fringe players will most likely feature a lot more. It doesn't mean we don't take the competition seriously. It just means we're rotating players because we have a fuckton of games. We have too few fringe players of decent quality, sure, but it doesn't mean we should push the likes of Demba Ba into every fucking match. These "shit" players drew away, and with some luck could've won quite comfortably. I'm not worried. Luck was not on our side today, so be it. A point away is still good in this competition. If this was the last 16 and we'd be facing Atletico Madrid or something, I highly doubt we'd not take it seriously and field the best side possible. Team selection is about the level of opposition as well, and as I just mentioned, with some luck the team put out today should've won. Liverpool switched their entire first XI from their last match FFS. Squad rotation. It's what football teams do when they have a lot of games over a short period of time. That's why teams don't just have 11 players. Fuck this shit.
  9. A point away in the group stages is more than enough. If our fringe players can do that it's fully understandable that there's some shuffling amongst players. All teams do it. Really don't get that attitude unless we start doing it in the late knock-out stages and the likes. Wait until Man Utd next week. The League Cup

  11. A point away ain't bad. Should've deffo won that though. Ameobi should've won it for us, twice. Bigi was impressive. Ameobi had two decent runs and som cock-ups. Gosling was invisible again. Santon is good. Elliot wasn't as bad as people on here have made him out to be.

Trying to get credit for a title change.
  14. My main issue in general is how the media and pundits faff all over how Everton were fucked over when the refs fucked us up a bit as well. It's just more media friendly to say a team was robbed and then do the edits based on that. I, for one, do love a smash and grab once in a while though. And it being against Everton makes it somewhat sweeter.
  15. Personally I don't think he fucked too badly up for their second. Clearly expected a shot in the near corner where he was standing, as evident by his weight being on the "wrong" foot for the eventual shot, which in turn made him look a complete fucktard not moving after the ball at all. First one was pretty bad, though.
  16. I honestly can't believe that with two fucking weeks to fill that shit out I managed to not do it in time.
  17. Loved the fighting spirits of the players in the second half. The first few matches had me worried it was gone, I feel relieved, happy and all kinds of excited now.
