I can't help but feel I'd rather would have had Bradley in than Ireland tbh. Hopefully Villa don't land him or they're looking good on paper for the rest of the campaign.

Madrid just cost me fucking £80. Fuck right off. Fuck off and die.

Left it late for my -2, but Barcelona never let me down.

He's in town for Arsenal to be assessed by us. We'll know more then.

Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season

Neither had Best before the West Ham game to be fair, and that didn't go too bad. But Best might have done something we've not seen to merit a starting position. By all accounts he's been very good in training. -
Suárez is a fantastic player. Honestly would prefer him to Torres. Scousers have lucked out yet again.

Like you ever even had a point. "I think Best is shit, therefore, Xisco must play! Yayyyyyy, unicorns!111" -

It's not blind faith. Xisco's not done anything that we've seen to merit a starting position other than being a striker in the squad of NUFC. He had one assist at Villa, playing as a winger. Yet that apparently is the main argument people have for starting him as a striker. -

Even Ali Dia got a Premier League game. It's a shit argument as I'm argumenting that our managers clearly don't see Xisco as good enough to be a starter, whilst the explanation for the likes of Ramage would be that at the time our managers thought he was good enough to start. Which in hindsight was wrong, as it could still turn out to be wrong not playing Xisco. I'm just saying I'm inclined to have faith in our managers until they prove me otherwise as they see more of the players than we ever will. -

No, but because we're not at the training ground so we don't know how well the players perform and so on. If all our managers don't seem to rate Xisco, I'm inclined to believe he's not that good until Pardew (or whoever comes next) decides he thinks he's good enough to play in the first XI. -

I'm glad this forum isn't NUFC manager. "I don't like that guy, let's try the one we never see for no good reason as we never see him." -
The quality really is rather appaling, it bugs me to no end. At first I was all "this ain't all bad?", then I put on the US shirt and the quality difference between them is just incomparable.

how much are 'we' expecting? well, judging by other threads, some expect him to lead us to three goals a match on the regular once he returns. and newcastle fans in general tend to be the heartbroken types. least i do. The level of expectation isn't uncalled for, it's not like Shearer was right in saying he's a player few have heard of. He's proven on the European scene that he's good and a constant performer, of course we're excited about getting him back and have high expectations.

We may not know what he's like in training but there's plenty of people have seen him barely be bothered to shake a leg when he's played for the reserve team. He hasn't even festered in the reserves as he hasn't been good enough to get a game or showed the desire and application to play for the shirt. Rightly so the club have played the likes of Ranger and Airey as they want to go out and play for the club. It's a bit strange though, he's best chums with Colo, Jonas and Jose et al. It just seems he's motivated enough to be here, just not to perform. Could be he's actually just shit? -
At first I thought it said "bant" because you couldn't fit the whole thing in the topic title. Turns out you can. Spastics.

I hate when Kitbag have those mega sales. I didn't really need to own one of those white Ghana shirts, but now I do. I got a US shirt as well, couldn't help myself with those prices.

Every game is a must win if we're to WIN DA LEEEGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

It's not really the players though, is it. It's the fact he's changed the entire squad (-1) from one week to another in the same competition and then back again to his "regulars" for the next week.

Europe: would you take, er, 5th place right now?
Kaizero replied to kirkwdavis2001's topic in Football
Does anyone else find that whole ranking system a bit odd? When Inter won it last year they got a coefficient of 34.09, the year before Barca won it and got a coefficient of 28.66, lower than what they got for reaching the semi final a year later and lower than Shakhtar who won the UEFA cup in the same year. Doesn't really make sense. Think it's got to do with various things such as quality of opponents in said CL run, league finish, domestic cup shit and so on. In no way am I certain, I'm just assuming. -
Got this seasons shirt today with Ben Arfa on the back. The quality is rather shit compared to the Adidas shirts, but I just couldn't help myself when it was only £30 on Kitbag. I may have a problem.

Aye. I see Holloway hasn't gone. Surprised? Bet he hopes that comment will get swept under the carpet. He's such a heat of the moment ranter. People seem to love that about him, but I'm starting to find it quite irritating tbh. I agree, was quite refreshing to see hear what he said at the start but he's starting to do too much of it. No, he's not doing too much of it. We're just exposed to it every week now Blackpool are in the PL rather than every now and then when they weren't.

Anthony Annan having medical at Schalke 04 after a fee of (apparently) £1.8m have been agreed. Can't help but feel we should've been in there, cheap quality cover for Tiote.

Out of contract after this season, where he before said he was happy at Rosenborg he's now saying it'd be cool to go to a bigger league and refusing to extend his deal. He'll be on the move soon, even if its not to us. In which case I hope he doesn't end up in England as it'd bother me.

What happens when the media doesn't link us to Skjelbred in a window? Well, he goes and links himself. "What team do you dream of playing for?" "Newcastle have always been my favourite club. Though a dream would be playing for today's Barcelona."
