One of the names mentioned was Villa, they have less chance than us of reaching Europe. I'd also add that I can't believe any player on the planet really aspires to playing in the Europa League. "Oooh, the glamour, I get to play against FC Titwank (Albania) on a Thursday night in front of 21,000". Don't get me wrong, they should do, but managers, directors and (largely) fans don't give a s*** about it these days, it is hard to believe the players do. Don't diss FC Titwank, they have won the Albanian league 39 times in a row. I think players see the EL as a shopping window. I genuinely don't. I appreciate that it is hard for a Barcelona fan to get their head around this (*wink*) but you have to experience the Europa League as a fan to fully understand the sheer, crashing, depressing pointlessness of it. Most decent players don't even play in it - we used to give the likes of Isaiah Osbourne and Moustafa Salifou a run out in it, and we're hardly Arsenal when it comes to squad rotation. it's since they brought in the stupid league element. was much better with a 2-legged knockout. They should have just left it as the UEFA Cup, both in format and name. Even the league stages aren't a proper "league", as you don't play each of the other teams both home and away. It really is pointless. Such a shame. You do since it turned into Europa League.

Even Rosenborg didn't even take the tournament all that seriously.

Ninis? Would love that! And he can leave for €10mill, but there will probably be a lot of interest in him. "On September 23, 2008, Ninis extended his contract with Panathiniakos for an additional four years to 2012, with a €10m buy-out clause into the agreement for any foreign team wanting to buy him, rising to €17m for a Greek side." Hopefully it's him we're after. A perfect buy. It's likely that MA would go after players with a buyout clause. Ninis is (potentially) class, but don't you have 2000000000000 attacking mids already? If Man City can stock DMs we can stock AMs.

It says a lot about the standards of "new" users on here these days when our current best "new" user is a bloody Mackem. -
Yeah, I have that one down as one of the unavoidable copies.

Good, you can boo at Owen, this kind of game will be his level now. Owen isn't playing. He's injured.
-
The real question is, how will we separate the real thing from the unavoidable copies that will pop up in their Big Sam costumes now the king is dead?

Today is the day Twitter died.

Why is Tiote only worth 7-8 million tops Justify your suggestion My 16mil value is based on the fact he is young, physically perfect for he premiership, a great desire as well as great quality. Probably the most exciting CM import since Essien and he was 25mil. Your turn You valued him for £20m, TT valued him at £16m.

He will go for nothing, he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Disagree with a lot of those. Fantastic, welcome the rules of forum discussion If a top keeper came in to replace Harper i can see a club paying 500k for him. No more because of his age Shola has 4 premiership goals the same as Kalinic, CCole and Beckford. Probably all of those worth 2m or more. Doyle, Fuller, Jerome all on 3. Id say they would all go for 2m + So i dont really understand your objection Why do you think we could get £500k for Campbell?

Ranger is young, highly rated, English and on a long contract. Easily £5-6m in todays climate. How the fuck does Loven equal his worth in any way?

I, for one, did not lose any faith in Joey when I saw the headline.

Kind of difficult to get excited about things when you have the nagging feeling that if anyone becomes a great player we're going to sell them. IMO I don't think Ben Arfa would go in the summer regardless of if he lights up the league in the 7-8 games he might get. He's come back from a serious injury, "big" clubs aren't feeling ready to risk money on him before they see that he can maintain his eventual form, surely?

Sorry but i find that hard to believe. Doninger is one ugly bastard . He wont even be on that good money. He's a footballer. It's the same in any country, even if the league/pay is shit the fit women still attach to footballers.

Why, what's happened?
