As I've understood it from some people on here it's because they're apparently not writing anything just for s*** and giggles. I don't buy that though, I think a rag is a rag wherever in the world that rag is from. Equipe, Marca, etc. are respectable daily sports papers who I'm sure have more important things to do and better stories to make up than linking someone like Ben Arfa with Newcastle. Yeah, but whenever Norwegian newspapers quote the Chronicle it's "The very respectable Northern English newspaper, Evening Chronicle." And we all know they're not really that respectable at all. I think with papers being foreign, it's easy to think they're more respectable than they are. That said, I'm not that clued up on the politics of Equipe and Marca, so I could be wrong. Politics? Why would that be relevant? Politics is the process observed in human group interactions by which groups make decisions. (i.e. what to write about.)

I still think as soon as we start losing the team spirit will disappear completely, winning games is what kept it going last season. Getting in sufficient caliber of player is far more important, every club probably has some right cunts in amongst the squad. I'd hasten to bet that some of ours aren't exactly great to get along with behind closed doors. I think the fact that he's a trouble maker is blown out of proportion aswell, he's probably no worse than what we've got. It won't be as bad as 08/09, though. Those players thought they were better than how the club preformed, these players know it'll be an uphill battle to stay in the division, and anyone signing surely wouldn't be stupid enough to think they were signing for a club who'd fight in the top part of the PL this season.

It all depends. Vålerenga are chasing Rosenborg and anything but a win will see them potentially slip out of the title race. Aalesund have preformed above expectations, but have 1-1-2 in their four latest games and are starting to look like the side they are on paper. I still think the Champions League should really just be the league winners (and perhaps main cup winners) of all European nations.
