I personally think most of the squads are worse than in 2006. Spain and Argentina being the exceptions. Brazil have a lesser team as well, but they're playing better as a unit than ever before so I'm undecided on them until I've seen them tonight.

It's not excuses for the players/managers to say they can't converse because of the vuvzelas. A vuvuzela creates 130db sound (the qual to being only 100 feet away from a jet engine.), now imagine there being thousands of jet engines around you. Will you manage to talk to someone? Of course it will effect the quality of the matches when the players can plan things, and as Messi said, having to play as deaf person. I don't think the players are very good at sign language either.
