  1. I was reading the news that Tore Andre Flo (Leeds) is retiring, and just seeing the name Leeds United brought to mind a most horrible idea. Could we in time become the same as Leeds? If we go down that is. Yes, we have money. Though, are we certain Ashley would not just sell off the club if we went down? Could we end up without our best players, and the money to get in new ones? It's a most rhetorical question, but it still bugs me. Of course I still believe we are too good to go down seeing the crap teams below us, though the crap teams are picking up points whilst we aren't. And people always said Leeds were too good to go down as well, and look were they are now. It's a most horrid thought, and it's bugging me to death to think about. So whilst I bugger off to play some FM, I leave you with the question that bugs me. If we end up in the Championship next season, do you believe we could end up like Leeds, or do you think we would just bounce right back up without any trauma and get right back into PL business with the course directed for Europe?
  2. They can't do shite away from home, though then again we can't do shite anywhere. So I'm really worried about this one, still thinking we'll win it though. If only by one goal.
  3. Just hope that's true, I won't believe anything, even if I saw both birth certificates I'd still be sucpicious.
  4. Good luck finding the right alleyway.

    Superstitions

Have to wear the home shirt on a match day from early morning 'til bedtime, regardless of how the match goes. Just can't break that ritual.
  6. I'd have to say Bolton, they just have a too steep hill to climb in the rest of their fixtures. Don't think we'll ever be "safe" until the last round is played though.
  7. They have over 6300 members in their Norwegian fanclub http://norwayshire.no/
  8. If we'd just get our crosses in to find our players we'd might have a chance at missing shots at an open goal.
  9. Couldn't have said it better myself Some people's comments in recent topics have downright been pissing me off to a degree I couldn't describe on the board without using so many bad words I'd break the bad word filter.

I'm not convinced he was last man. Lescott wasn't far off the pair of them. I don't think a yellow card and a free kick would have changed anything. Also, you've just been beaten 6-1. That's nothing to do with refereeing decisions is it really? Agreed, it has to do with Brann being s****, in the off season and depressing to watch. You guys will get a practically get a walkover in the next round as well, Fiorentina was so depressing to watch I now think they are a shame for football, just as with all German teams. I think Fiorentina will be a very tough match regardless of how bad to watch they might be. They might have a bit more nous and experience than our team and hit us on the break effectively. We'll have to wait and see. I'm glad we're at home in the second leg though. Unelss Howard is as bad as the Rosenborg keeper was today I doubt you have anything to worry about, unless Mutu gets lucky at an open goal. I'd glady put all my money on Everton getting through to the quarter finals after next round, unless Fiorentina starts playing something that looks like football. I don't usually watch Italian games, but if Fiorentina played like they've done over two rounds in the UEFA cup in the league, it's amazing how they're so high up the table.

Most Norwegians are tall, it's quite freaky.

Norway better get a fucking proper league season so Norwegian teams won't get bummed in the arse in the winter months. A Rosenborg in season would've played this Fiorentina side out of the game. Fiorentina is dissapointing and depressing to watch, Everton might as well have gotten a walkover in the next round.

Now I'm confused as to whether or not I should watch the Rosenborg game or the Brann game for the rest of the night. Brann is meeting a proper team, though Rosenborg still has an outside chance of advancing.

  18. what about teams from other leagues? :sad1: people surely can have a favorite from la liga or whatever. just have to be all NUFC should we meet in the intertoto! Why would you want to support a team form somewhere you weren't from? Second teams from anywhere is bad enough, but another in the EPL, as the first poster clearly has, is mental. So what if I don't live in Newcastle? I've followed Newcastle my entire life, but because I don't live in Newcastle, or even have an English nationality, I'm not a worthy follower of the team? I fail to see where that makes sense, and I won't even bother start saying why people would support a team from a town they are not from. I'd rather see you back up your statement as to why someone supporting a team that is not from where they're from is the correct answer, 'cause I think you'd have a hard time making a valid point backing that up. As for having a "second" team, can you honestly say you've not paid more attention to teams around the world after managing teams on FM for instance? It's not like people are rampant fans of these "second" teams, but there are certain teams that if were on the telly I would want to watch just for the pleasure of watching football. Though of course if you follow two teams in the same league almost with the same passion I'd say there was something wrong with that person and he'd/she'd need to get put to sleep. You don't have "second" teams in the same league, it's a given.
  19. In my opinion KK's biggest task will be to get the first win, just as The Janitor said. The longer we go without one the harder it will get. The media will always be after us, I believe the fans will not turn on him this season unless we end up beneath 17th place on the table, and the squad will get a motivation lift after we get a win.

    Personal Reasons

He's English and in the Arsenal side, 'course he was shite. Certain things just don't mix.
  21. Us getting Nani on loan is as realistic as me winning the lottery without participating, meaning ridiculously high, naturally. Personally I'd like seeing us get in Arshavin, Barnes, Skjelbred, Dunne and Pandev, we need to get in defenders as well obviously, but I cba to think of anyone good enough that would be realistic for us to get in defense.
  22. http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/8558/79491591os3.jpg A picture says a thousand words To me that pciture at the very least shows poor reading of the flight of the ball. Given just stood there thinking the ball would clear the bar. there wasn't even an attempt to save! Like Given this season tries to save anything.
