Logically he wouldn't have been hired in the first place, logically he would have been fired by now, there's no reason to think he won't be here beyond next season.

Sounds to me like they're bottling the decision. Sacking him after a poor start next season will just ensure that we get yet another manager that isn't really good enough, we'll be playing catch up and the cycle will continue. Pardew is a funny one though, at some point in the next 12 months he will be sacked by his 4th club in a row, and there will still be people out there that rate him. Guys like Rafa and AVB get torn a new one by the media whenever their clubs have a couple of poor results.
  4. Even if we bid for him we'd be relying on the local boy shit, which I think gets overplayed, we're pretty unattractive right now. West Ham would probably be the best move possible for his career.
  5. Theres been worse. Remember the "NOBO" company that sponsored some poor suckers ? (actually, just did a search for Nobo, and this link is even better - http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/lists/5408/top_10_funny_sh.html ) There are some shitty sponsors out there. For the record I don't have a huge moral issue with wonga and I do think the media fuss was overboard, other clubs are sponsored by murky companies, no one seems to have a problem with Standard Chartered sponsoring Liverpool for example. I have a bigger problem with how ugly their logo is, i'm shallow like that.

  7. You can be a fan without becoming a walking billboard.
  8. I don't know what would possess anyone to buy this anyway, imagine walking around with a big WONGA sign on your stomach. I wouldn't take one if it was free.
  9. I'm not positive in the slightest, but if i'm negative in a positive thread then people will probably throw shit at me.

Until Llambias confirms he's staying I have hope, I'm taking his silence as good thing.
  11. Survival easily, relegation is humiliating. Plus i'm not sure how enjoyable winning a cup would be if relegation followed immediately after, like it is with Wigan.

Was Moyes getting sacked by lower league clubs before going to Everton?

I'm thinking of betting on the club getting relegated next season.
  14. If Coloccini was staying I'd honestly ship Taylor out the first chance I got. Can imagine that would be an unpopular opinion but he's just no good to us, even if he plays reasonably well when fit. Having him in the squad has held us back in the CB department for years; because - for the vast majority of his career - he's been either average or injured (with the odd spell of admittedly very decent form), meaning we've had to play s**** like Williamson. We've had worse CB 'squads' in my time supporting us (Souness/Roeder time ) but I wouldn't be against a bit of an overhaul. Even if Colo goes, in Mapou it looks like we've got someone we can build the whole defense around. That probably is unpopular, but I agree.
  15. He's a twat. He's been whinging for 50 years about the guy that broke his leg in the FA cup, but if you see the footage it was Whelan that went flying in at the other guy.
  16. Ginola is such a rent-a-quote. He was here for 2 years in the mid 90s, and he spent most of it wanting to leave, i'm sick of hearing his opinion on things.
  17. This Swansea keeper not heard of time wasting???
  18. For all Laudrup's hype this lot have been shite for a while now. Wankers.

I'm not sure how many consecutive sackings Pardew is going to have before the experts realise he's not a good manager.
