  1. It’s a shame just because I wanted to see the haters in the media upset, and there is obvious corruption going on here, but I was never really sold on Saudi ownership and I’m not sure the sport as a whole is worth me increasing my interest. The sport is bought and paid for. Fans are just customers to the clubs, leagues and broadcasters, there to be milked, patronised, then told to fuck off. Everyone knows it deep down, it’s why everyone is so fucking bitter. Even ESL fans, that on the face of it get everything everyone else wants, are miserable because of it.
  2. I thought Arsenal were making quite large losses every season.
  3. These interviews don't come across as confidence in the arbitration ruling to me. They feel like a last ditch attempt to influence something. I hope I'm wrong.
  4. Leaving AC Milan and Serie A for PSG
  5. The dismissal of Germany is annoying considering they smashed Portugal. Not the best German side does not mean they’re an easy game.
  6. Oh, apparently they had one in qualifying. I barely followed England’s qualifying for this tournament never mind anyone else’s.
  7. She’s Scottish, I wonder if she’s ever even seen her team in a shootout.
  8. I know Kane was never rapid, but when he’s chasing a ball he looks like an old player in his retirement season. I can’t wait to see how slow he gets through his 30s.
  9. Southgate has done well overall, but his game management deserves plenty of criticism.
  10. It sounds like you’re conveniently mashing together political opinions you don’t like with a fan base you don’t like.
  11. I'm one step away from being teetotal, I might not even be league one standard.
  12. Our country has a problem with alcohol. Football isn't our national sport, getting pissed is.
  13. There was no real attempt to stop them getting in from that steward, just trip them and let them go.

I’d rather they fucked the Queen off as well.
  15. I doubt she’s interested in any sport that doesn’t involve an animal being killed.

They shouldn’t have hung their hat on him in the first place. The man is a football manager that has had some good results, that’s it really. Yes he’s a nice enough guy that believes in equality etc, but then so do most people in the game. Everyone has to be a hero or a villain to some people.
  17. This. Even the great shirts from the 90s will look shit with Fun88 across the front.
  18. I was pretty confident about this before the Denmark game, but I thought there were some really worrying things that we got away with last night. For a start Pickford obviously hasn't got the temperament for big games, the Italians will be all over him. The difference between the keepers could be the decider, because Donnarumma is fantastic. Secondly I thought Rice and Phillips were poor, they repeatedly failed to pick up Denmark's runners and I was thinking that if it was the likes of Chiesa finding that space we're fucked. I would definitely start Henderson in front of Rice. And thirdly Southgate's game management was absolutely shocking, I thought he had frozen and was bottling making any changes. For a long time we were looking at a Denmark side that were dead on their feet but he refused to make changes, and in the end got bailed out by a dodgy penalty.
  19. It’s endemic in British sport. I’m hoping we’re going to move on to Come On Eileen soon.
  20. I’m not really justifying it, I hate it, but it’s something that all the top teams do well. It’s been part of the game for a long time and is built into teams game plans. As much as fans get outraged about diving I don’t think people in the game really see it the same way.
  21. It wasn’t a pen and we’ve dived quite a lot tonight. That’s what successful teams do though. There are no honourable clean championship winning teams out there.
  22. Pickford needs subbing, he’s all over the place.
  23. It’s more than that. He talks about clubs like Everton and West Ham like they’re great clubs, and he doesn’t go after them if, for example, some Everton fans hang a banner threatening Rafa near his home. Yet he’ll repeatedly bring up some mean words on Twitter about Steve Bruce. IMO he singles Newcastle out and seems to have a genuine dislike for the fans. He always says he knows exactly what we’re like because he used to know the Shepherds and Halls.
  24. It’s Newcastle he has an agenda against. He goes against anyone that acts in the clubs interests and is for anyone that acts against our interests.
