One of the most important game of our season. Zero touches in their box, no urgency, not a single cross, no shot and 22% possession after 25 minutes. It's amazing how awful we are

21 goals in 7 years against Dortmund. The only team he has scored more goal against in his career is Wolfsburg (24). Imagine losing your best player to your biggest rival on free and he bags them in every time...

Steve Bruce on Liverpool: "They're a very very very good side, we know what to expect and we need to go out there and perform like we did against Manchester City." This just about sums him up and what we are reduced to. As a Newcastle fan I've gotten used to the pain and hopelessness over the years, still had to google and make sure he actually said this. 12% possession in the second half, not being able to string 2 passes together and parking the bus absolutely praying for our very lives is us playing well these days. That's it guys.... I'm out

  Was just rewatching The Office this week!

Been excellent this season. Was set to retire (turning 35 in June) but been putting in a good shift as a centre-back in a 3 man defense with Dortmund only conceding 1 goal in their last 6 matches. Dortmund legend

FFS Shelvey, like ten terrible passes in a row
-
Should have just charged at the goal and let it fly. Bust-up or not, Maximin was furious out on the wing with that wasted possession. You can just see on the body language of our players that they are tired of the shite football we are playing.
-
Meunier and Verratti both suspended for the second leg. Emre Can was a good pickup for Dortmund, probably been the best player tonight. Him and Witsel are a really solid midfield pairing alongside all the attacking players they got.

1-0 Haaland!
-
Dortmund been the better side so far. PSG have been lackluster and slow. Hopefully Dortmund will get one at least for the second leg.
-
They got City, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal (all away) then Chelsea and Wolves coming up within their next 7 games. Could easily go down and today's draw must have been absolutely demoralizing, almost lost too if it hadn't been for a great Fabianski save in stoppage time. I kinda had the notion they were too good to go down but they are absolutely shit. Bringing Moyes back was a weird move.
-
Really happy for him honestly, was sweet to see how supportive and happy the coaching staff and his teammates were for him. Hopefully he gets into his stride and starts playing with more confidence and happiness out on the pitch.
-
Not saying they should be beating City like, but having spent 120m in the summer and not looking better than they have this season. They've made some awful recruitments.
-
Wow, Southampton are above us now. 16 points in 6 games, good for them like. We're just actively trying to survive by the bare minimum, fighting for a draw from the first minute in every game.

Excited to see PiÄ…tek in the Premiership, think it's a good deal for everyone involved. He'll be given a fair crack at the whip with Kane being out and will have time to prove himself. Sure he has been rather poor this season, but so has the whole Milan team only scoring 16 goals in 18 league games. If he plays well, is it unfathomable that Tottenham will play with 2 up front? It's a difficult situation otherwise, having always to find a forward good enough but also willing to play second fiddle for Kane. Chances are you'll only end up with more Vincent Jansens.

Signing Rondon for 16m and spending 24m to strengthen other areas of the squad or buy Joelington for 40m. Then shitcunts like Charney have the audacity to claim we are all about signing quality rather than quantity, bringing in this donkey and players like Krafth who look way out of their depth.
-
Been really really poor this season, only scoring 1 goal from open play (3 goals from penalties.) Still seems kinda harsh and weird to completely give up on him after being terrific last season.
-
25% possession at home, as per usual. What an awful side we are
-
Milik going to Betis apparently. Fekir and Milik to Betis in pretty surprising deals, Icardi going to Napoli then? Betis will have a fun team this season assuming their key players stay healthy. I wouldn't have minded seeing us going for Milik like.
-
No way is it 50m+ We're down 5 players (Rondon, Perez, Diame, Kenedy and Joselu). Not that all of them are a big loss like, but our squad is tiny with absolute no depth. If we spend 50m of our reported 90m budget on a striker who scored 7 league goals last summer, then we're truly fucked.

Was brilliant today!

Well, he was only 20 when he broke into the Arsenal team. Was always athletic and a fantastic shot stopper, think he's calmed down and mature a lot over the years. Commands the area much better and you aren't shitting your pants everytime a high ball comes into the box. My Arsenal supporting mate always dreaded and expected the inevitable monthly Chesney blunder, even if he was decent in between you knew it wasn't long til he had a major fuck up. Still ridiculous that Arsenal sold him for only 12-14m or whatever it was, absolute peanuts in today's market.
