Real weren't really a mess tbf, he played a huge part in their squad and they didnt know that untill he left, and instead of replacing him the fuckers went a spent all those millions on "Galacticos" who did fuck all for their club. He's the kind of player who you don't really notice in the game, but is virually the heart of Chelsea, forget overpaid overated players like Lampard and Ballack, Chelsea's strong point is Cech,Terry and this lad, but now he's growing old and they managed to get a brilliant youngster to replace him in Diarra (his attitude is shit though), i think he still have at least one good season left in him.

He's a fucking luckey charm wherever he goes (reminds me Bernard Diomede and the french squad) , Madrid still havn't won anything since he left, and Chelsea are winning a trophey per season with him, great player and i wouldnt mind him coming here, although i think he will move to a bigger club.

If you look at it that way, the deal is considerd cheap for any normal club,getting a 21 yearold wonderkid with loads of talent and who used to be priced twice as much a year before we signed him is kinda cheap, but the fact that under Glenn Roeder we managed our players in the most retarted way possible, and not being able to get 50% from any of our players (aside from James Milner) make Martins blameless for me, i am sure that under Sam Allardyce he will prove that he is worth alot more then what we payed for him.

Andy Carroll is a "Similar type player to Shola Ameobi" - FM But i saw Nani is a few games this season, he's ok and he can get better, he got a little bit of all.. and can defintley get better in the future.

I think this more than anything needs crushed. We got the stadium of a massive club, the spending abillty of a massive club, the fans of a massive club, the players of a massive club(if you take our defenders off), but our peformence is nowhere near that of a massive club, wich is exactly why Newcastle are described best as "Sleeping giants" .

Are they? Every single player in our team had a thread about them being "not good enough", aside from Tim Krul and Andy Carroll who never really got a fair chance to play.

No one is good enough for us, not even Ronaldinho..i think our brains are a little fucked up from faliure after faliure.. I think in our current squad we have players who are good enough to wear the jersey, Given, Taylor, Parker, Owen, Martins ,N'Zogbia are all usefull to have in a squad once they are played in the proper position and with a good manager.. I always said that being manager of our club is one of the hardest jobs in the world, the squad is full of talents but none of them really produce a peformence that live up to their names, we have Alberto Luque in our reserves team ffs! I think with our faliures in the last 3 years and how every "good" player we signed turned up to be just another flop is just factors that made our fans think that virtually no player is good enough for us. I'll just leave the signings to Big Sam and won't judge anyone before i see them get a fair chance under him.

The money we may or may not have doesn't come into it. If free transfers are good enough for Chelsea they're good enough for us. Ben Haim is better than what we already have. Get him in. Who knows if we'll be able to buy a better defender. They may not be available. Aye, thats the problem, he's free and signing him won't cost us much + it will bring a decent defender in, but if we can get better then why not get them.. We can either play it safe and take Ben Haim, who is far better then what we used to have, or take a gamble..and try to bring in players who are even better then him..but thats being too optimstic because i don't think better players will want to come here in the first place.

Anyone think we can get better then Ben Haim? Don't get me wrong, he's pretty decent but for 45 millions we can get better players i will be happy if Big Sam gets him here but won't be too gutted if we miss out on him..

Not sure about on here but in person I don't know anyone who thinks Ameobi is good, but thats beside the point, I know loads of peeps who were hating him, Babayaro, Martins etc all before they even had a chance. I'm not actually advocating any position of this, just always seems to me people are much quicker to demonise black players at newcastle, I don't mean to imply that every person who criticise's him is racist though. Personally I've found his behaviour a bit disapointing recently, especially since I've argued his case in the past with certain friends who've written him from day 1, I'd prefer for him to be given a chance to redeem himself if he's of the mind rather than just screaming for him to be sold before we've heard anything from him. Its not because of their skin colour, its because of the fact that most black players who played here recently have been shit (aside from Martins, he might have an attitude problem but his peformence has been fairly decent), if i am going to list the black players who played in Newcastle in the last 2 years it will go something like : Bramble, Faye, Ameobi, Babayaro, Boumsong, and so on..don't forget that some toon legends like Andy Cole and Les Ferdinand were black. At the moment, its not an issue of race, its the fact that every single player in our team last season has faced criticism (besides Tim Krul and Andy Carroll), even and almost every player in our current team is considerd either (shit) or (overated) by some of the people here, so of course the likes of Martins and Babayaro will be on the list with the likes of Carr and Ramage.

I think it is possible to get him for 10, 15 , 20 million, his price really dropped after his peformence this season and just like Martins we could get him on the cheap, but i think alot of other clubs are intrested in him aswell.

They gave everton a chance of a permanent deal and Fernandes has fallen out with the Benfica board as he wants to play in the EPL. Never read that before..if thats the case then i think he will be a really good signing, got everything a player needs to be a big hit in the EPL and can play practicly anywhere in the Midfield..
