I don't get it? The FAI are really clutching at straws now. Ah well, at least I'm already well practiced in being embarrassed by those running the team I support... Bascially I'm saying something catastrophic would have had to happen or the match would have to be declared illegitimate because it was purposely fixed. I see no other reason for a replay, never mind this insanity being proposed by Ireland. By the way, who exactly should Ireland displace in Pot 2? All of the teams in that pot have recently qualified for/participated in the World Cup or have done well/participated in the European Championships. Ireland has done neither of these. In fact, Ireland has not qualified for the European Championships in my entire lifetime.

While this is depressing, I'm finding the state of "having been relegated" more enjoyable than the state of "being relegated." Honestly, if I had to pick one it would be Shola. Ideally, it's the striker we buy in January.

Only way something like this should be considered is if someone if tried and convicted on match fixing or at least six players die. Otherwise, it's nonsensical.

People who constantly complain about commentators, pundits, etc. Just watch the football!

That's just ridiculous from him. To throw out an allegation like that without any kind of evidenceis just reckless. We need to find a way to keep stupid people off the internet.

This isn't a big deal really. He's only out for the month. The "out until next year!!!!" headline makes it seem more dramatic.

Best number is 55, that is what I always what to wear.

1-11 squad numbers are an anachronism. There is no point to them, and I do not know why players should not be allowed to express their individuality.

I liked the look of him at Shakthar That miss has really cost us tonight. We were the better team but could only draw 1-1. That pretty much sends l'OM out of the Champions League.

Brandao is so rubbish! I cannot believe this guy. Misses an open net from two yards out!!

LUCHOO!!! 1-1

Nice of them to ruin football for the Spanish locals.

I actually would have favored the US to do well, but Davies accident and Onyewu's long term injury lead me to believe this will not be the case. I am quietly optimistic about Nigeria's chance to do well this time around. I'd really fancy the team if they fire Amodu and hire some sort of competent manager.

Definitely going to watch this Wigan-Spurs replay. How the hell did they win 9-1?

Blantantly fixed draws for tournaments. Caf just gifted Angola a piss easy group as hosts of the ACN 2010. Champions League is probaly even worse. Hopefully they can keep their dirty hands off the World Cup. Don't be surprised when SA draws out New Zealand and Honduras though.

Are you Babatunde in disguise? No, my mother would slap me silly if I used such grammar and profanity. Do we have another Nigerian Mag? I doubt anyone will get stoned btw, man. This is not Egypt, fans are civil. -

Best for everyone involved if he stays in Newcastle for this period. -

I think he's still first choice, yeah. Last time I saw them, they had this new kid, Zogbo, but I think BB is still first choice. Both of them are dodgy as hell, btw. -
As much as i respect their ability to beat Sierra Leone, Equitorial Guinea, Kenya & Mozambique instead of being forced to qualify against Italy, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Montenegro and Georgia, then France in the play offs its more qeography than quality African qualifiying is difficult as well, imo. Right up there with Europe. Especially, as only one team can qualify grom each group, which is a probelm when two powerhouses like Nigeria and Tunisia (Egpyt-Algeria or CIV-Cameroon in 2006) are grouped together. It's the North America, Asia, and Oceania you should take issue with. I'm no Irish sympathizer, but it's ridiculous to say you have no sympathy for the Irish. It's a bad decision, and it has very much cost them a World Cup spot. It's an unfortunate situation that I would not desire anyone to experience.

Come on, man. Enough venom. Do what's natural. Support the Green and White.
