  1. Sensational football from Bolton that forced an Almunia save btw.
  2. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/euro2008/scolarigenegetty438.jpg Probaly been done before...but I thought it was uncanny.
  3. This is one of these most apathetic and sarcastic death threads I've sen tbh. I mean consider his family ffs. His brother died in February playing football. Now he has died as well.
  4. Yeah Villa and Torres have been keeping out of the squad for ffs....idiot
  5. The second I clicked on that....I was sure it was a Rick Astley link.

    Joe Cole

Really man....what a c***.....It'd be one thing if it was a window that was easy to get away ffs.
  7. Doesn't change the fact that ther're correct.
  8. Klose has all the goals for germany.
  9. Young=pace. something your sorely lacking
  10. Unbelievable statement. I'm at a loss for words. ok they are good footballers, (apart from kuyt and martins), but they are all stupidly overrated. I think all the players on Toon Argy's list are quite good. Except for maybe Carragher....he is kind of what I see taylor being during his prime. Terry is quite dominant. Oba is very talented imo, and has been productive throughout his career. Taylor suffers from what Raul suffers from. Fans want to discredit him because of the class around him. This is somewhat true...Deco and Ballack are both great players with international pedigree, while Mikel and Essien control both dominating ease (well Mikel does it with ease, while Essien is more of a workhorse.) But you can't deny his goal record. Show me another midfielder that matches it, and you'll be showing me a world class footballer. Kuyt is also good. He is a dedicated footballer who contributes to his team. He is not amazing or anything, but he has scored a ton of goals in Eredivisie, then he comes to Liverpool and joins Gerrard in scoring the typical late Liverpool winners. It's not luck...he has a knack. My pick would be Gary Neville. He is actually a lot like his brother in my opinion. He is just ok. I really see why United don't use some of their unlimited cash to get a better younger right back.
  11. The entire country has a last name ending in -villi or -adze
  12. I think Curbishley is within the top five of active managers of English descent. I just don't understand what exactly he's done wrong to receive all the stick he gets. He saved them from certain relegation, and then led them straight into mid table mediocrity. That is progress. Maybe they don't agree with his transfer, but he has still improved the team. I think, under Curbishley, West Ham would be around 10-12th again...but now they might be in for a season not unlike what Nwwcastle experienced last year in my opinion.
  13. Not to go off topic....but why the hell would Bastian Schweinsteiger want to come to Newcastle? I always got the impression that he was happy being an instrumental part of a CL team. And I'm sure he gets paid plenty, considering he plays for Bayern Munchen n all.
  14. I`m sure he wanted to go to Everton At Inter Milan I doubt he will see the pitch...maybe is Jose goes 4-3-3 he will see time on the wing...but I think the boy wanted to play.
  15. Obinna rejected a work permit. Will not go to Everton. That's a bit ridiculous in my opinion. He is 21, has almost ten caps for the senior team, played in Italy for severall years, led a u-23 team to the Olympic final, and he is not as talented as the likes of Brad Guzan?...nonsense.
  16. oh my lord...I had no idea Sommeil had a heart attack..it is weird that events like this tend to get little coverage. I watch and follow alot of Ligue 1 and didn't hear about this! edit: O'donnel did not die early in the season.
  17. Has any one seen what happened to Umit Ozat. He collapsed in the math between Koln and Karlsruhe. I saw on Youtube and it was very similar to the Puerta case of last year. However, luckily this time Ozat has survived. I hope they closely evaluate before he comes on the pitch or is released from hospital though. For a while we thought Puerta was alright too.....
  18. fyi quk...Chelsea are also without Ballack and Mikel...also Essien is not fit...and had to be started in their absence. It is is funny how everyone asked how Chelsea would accomodate all these central midfielders and now none of them are fit.
  19. If you lot watched the Olympic football you shall realise that Obinna is a very good player.
  20. Menez is off to Roma and Massimo Oddo is heading for Lyon. edit: I didn't catch this earlier...but apparently Marseille replaced Djibril Cisse with the young Mamadou Samassa. Not that we would have missed Cisse that much anyway. Niang, Kone, and Ben Arfa are all better at this point in time.
