  1. Eto'o must have had one of the most lucrative careers in the history of football. Guy has made it.
  2. Ive completely torn my ligaments and it is painful as f*** tbf If he tore his ligaments I doubt he'd have been able to recover so quick Tbf, when I twist my ankle that violently in a game, I generally spend 45 seconds to 1 minute overseeing the pain/damage before I hop around on it.
  3. He is an average player (which is what he always has been) had a below average today. I believe he will score a decent amount because he is an acceptable finisher, but is not the type that just carries a side.
  4. He was quite decent today. Lacks the dynamic athleticism of Moussa or the vision of a Cabaye, but is an effective contributor in the middle and has consistently put in quality set pieces thus far. He will replace Anita when Tiote returns.
  5. Riviere is also the only forward to play the whole season for ASM last season. Berbatov had less than half, Falcao had half.
  6. How has he turned out? He is still only twenty, and the last time I saw him play he looked competent enough to contribute to a team somewhere in the world. He's played one competitive club football match since April 2013, so why is he still sitting around here?
  7. People turning on Cabella after 135 minutes because of their HBA obsessions really need to sit down.
  8. We're definitely playing well. We started well and should have scored twice, but Villa have been the better side for a while.
  9. If he plays the way he did in his first half-season at Milan, Liverpool will be genuine title contenders, imo, so it is definitely the correct decision, imo. I don't follow Italian football enough to know caused his decline last season last season, but Milan really needed him to stand out and dominate, but instead he stood still and showed little desire.
  10. Definitely. I hate to see players I enjoy go to clubs I vehemently despise. If Balo can lessen his natural idiocy to normal levels and actually exerts himself, he still has a chance to be a top player (we have been saying this since Inter though, tbf). He will score a good amount of goals regardless.
  11. Our football federation is absurdly corrupt. They have been under investigation and scrutiny for "losing" tournament monies, not dispensing money to the players on time, not paying managers, etc. Yesterday their main office in Abuja just mysteriously caught fire during the middle of the working day in a blaze that apparently began in the chief accountant's (!) office. Now the vital papers detailing NFF's financial dealings look like this:
  12. Making a careless error directly leading to a simple goal for the other country in the biggest match in the history of your country does not equate to "decent", imo.
  13. Tiote had a poor season and a terrible World Cup. I'd be surprised if any big clubs were in for him, especially as NUFC's valuation should be fairly high.
  14. Three competitive matches for Lille, the only goal a blatantly incorrect penalty from an Origi dive. They are a very solid team, but there is so little threat from them.
  15. How efficient are Atletico from set pieces?
  16. This guy is talented enough to be the next Kazenga Lua Lua.
  17. Nollywood smily What a strange collection of people that frequent this place. Another trophy less season perhaps? We'll see. Today's the first friendly where we played something resembling our best XI and we looked very fresh and mobile; at least it looks like we'll be enjoyable to watch again. I'm not sure we'll be good enough to compete with the best, with so many new guys and some really questionable buys... They'll finish second and make the quarters of the Champions League at the worst.
  18. Why wouldn't you? You support frigging Barcelona! Alright.

    Loïc Remy

Remy's not good enough for a team above us imo, neither was Ba. If they want to sit on the bench and get more money then yeah, but if they want to play week in and week out there's no where but maybe Everton or Spurs to go in terms of pushing near the top. The very top teams don't bother with players like that when there are clearly much better strikers that they can start or have in rotation. Remy and Ba are not and never were good enough. Remy is another level of footballer to Ba, imo. Ba reminds me more of Yakubu and Darren Bent than anyone else. His general play is poor. Remy is a much better all around footballer.
  20. This is absolutely right. Burnley finished 2nd in an awful league and haven't added PL quality. Agreed. Burnley don't even have the athleticism and ability in defence to properly park the bus. One thing I've noticed about the Chelsea team is that I'm not sure where they will fit Fabregas against the bigger teams. Even in this match, there have been a few times where he has shirked defensively responsibility. Maybe drop Oscar and add one of the Black defensive midfielders. City have gotten the most impressive result among the title contenders thus far.
  21. No one will win by more than ten points. There are three strong sides worthy of the title, imo.
