    Steve McClaren

If we are going the short term contract route I think Pearson is as good a shout as anyone. But long term he'd be a disaster.

And Carr goes and signs Thauvin. This fucking club.
  3. Usual ineffective display in midfield followed by a disaster at left back. Everything he does is so safe, pointless and boring.

It's not about subbing him off, it's the fucking stupidity of starting Riviere in the first place. I've flipped on McClaren in the past week, I'm starting to hate him now.
  5. A 21 year old kid signed to lead the line in the premier league and expected to single handedly score the goals to keep us up. Go transfer policy. Also one of the few that gives a shit.
  6. If McClaren splurts out any more of this 'positives' crap he can jump under a bus. The only things that gain him credit are if he calls out individual players by name or if he resigns.
  7. Has to go tonight otherwise we're down. The players are a fucking disgrace. Some decent individual moments but as a team, in a team game where it's 11 a fucking side, you are all fucking atrocious.

We went into the season with the first choice partnerships in defence and midfield being Mbemba, Coloccini, Colback and Anita, backed up by Taylor, Williamson, Tiote and Gouffran. Fucking Norwich have better options than those last 7 and the best player out of that lot is a 21 year old kid brand new to the league.

That was part of his remit when he was given the job - to improve players. Ignoring the dross, have any noticeably improved? Nope, not even one. It's been the biggest disappointment of him.

The problems we have now are down to years of boardroom mismanagement, and that includes listening to Alan Cuntfeatures to sell our best players. To hold McClaren wholly responsible would be like blaming Villa's current predicament on Sherwood and Garde, when they are only the tip of the iceberg.

Badly worded, obviously we have a handful of talented players but the dross (Gouffran, Colo, Anita, Colback, Obertan, Cisse, etc) has been dross since before SMC got here, he just hasn't been able to improve any of the players.

The team for most of the season has included the worst CB and CM pairing in the league, taking into account inexperience, age, and generally being fucking crap. McClaren has made absolutely no improvement to any of the turd he inherited, but let's not act like those players he inherited are any good.

It's as if they know the club has no ambition and has been selling itself as a stepping stone... Exactly. They know they won't be here for more than a couple of years at most so why should they care. If we get relegated, they will be off anyway. Why should they care? Because it's their job, career, life? And if they act like they don't care, we as fans have the right to criticise them for it, the same as we do for Pardew/Carver/McClaren. There's a narrative peddled by some that the players are complete victims of shit management and have every right to turn in the usual basement level of performance. All parties need to be held responsible from board level through to the coaching staff and through to the pitch. They've all contributed to a culture of unambition and balance sheet lead mediocrity. We are barely any better than Villa.

It's as if they know the club has no ambition and has been selling itself as a stepping stone... Stop making excuses for them. Where's the professional pride.

The players are bigger cunts than McClaren, fucking ridiculous how many mercenaries exist in our squad.

Brilliant is a bit strong, I thought he'd be a significant upgrade on the shite we'd had for the past 4 years based on what he achieved with Twente / Derby. Turns out he's been shite, fair enough. Maybe everyone who 'apparently' called it from the strong can go and throw a party, congratulations.

We've had so many bad results away from home I can understand him shitting bricks and playing for the 0-0. Although on those same lines he then has no right to moan about being unlucky to lose 1-0. Regardless, I've become more convinced that in order for us to stay up he has to go. Time to get someone else in to have a go at getting these players to buy in. I still think the players / club are poisonous, but McClaren has failed.

Aye, I never understood this about Pardew, he'd give it all this crap about battle and determination, and then the performances would just involve dozily sticking in 2 defensive banks of 4. The 'battle' needs to be about aggression, intensity and pressing as a team. Not sure an NUFC in my lifetime has ever shown those characteristics.

Yes, another in house yes man must surely be the answer. That was sarcasm btw for those of you who are still too dense to recognise it. A degree of irony in you not recognising what I meant by that post. I.e. we need someone new, the club will just appoint the latest in house yes man.

I'm total agreement with you RE Beardsley. Just saying it's the most likely thing the club would do. 'grateful for the opportunity'.

    Steve McClaren

The problems at this club go far deeper than McClaren, but it's time to give someone else a go at trying to get through to these players. Cue Beardsley till the end of the season.
  22. Can understand the tactic of playing for a 0-0 in our situation. But: The players are clearly not buying in to what he tells them. How many different formations / ways of playing have we trotted out, the players just do not play as a team. This is what happens when you chuck together a random group of individuals with no thought as to how well they compliment each other, or how they fit tactically. I wanted McClaren to succeed because I think he's an honest guy and a decent coach. But it's become increasingly clear the players will not / cannot listen to what he wants them to do. If we want to stay up, time to let someone else have a go.
  23. It speak volumes for the level of cunt that Pardew is that those comments give me feelings of warmth towards Sam fucking Allardyce .
  24. West Brom are a horrible team full of horrible people like. Fuck those cunts.
