Kane for me, I think he's genuine class.
  2. For Leicester fans what a moment that would have been.
  3. If they continue like this I don't see how tbh. Yeah didn't realise quite how close they were now. Ignore the second half of my post.
  4. Kane is total class. Deserves better than Spurs.

    Steve McClaren

Must feel good to badger everyone around with the blunt force of hindsight. Garde would still have done decently at a club that wasn't the abortion that is Aston Villa. And everyone was simply going by previous achievements and track record, and Garde trumps McC every time. That's not true at all, Garde just doesn't have much of a CV to critique, other than doing a reasonable job at Lyon. However you look at it, at the time, in most people's eyes, there was no question of anyone preferring McClaren over Garde. Regardless of how you gauge each of their records. In my books, what he did with Lyon was far better than what McClaren's achieved and at least it was someone younger and on the up and up, as opposed to someone who'd been sacked from Derby. You've summed it up right there, Garde was preferred by most because he was young, unproven and had no record of failure (or success) in English football.

Don't say that like it's not an important attribute Alli is more of a CM, but I'd have Barkley as a #10 all day over Alli.

Rooney shouldn't be starting as a number 10. Roy is a fucking fool if he does that. Striker or not at all. Kane should be the number one frontman now though.

Alli is already very good, no question. But very few players have what Barkley does in terms of his direct running style and ability to commit defenders. That edges it for me.
  10. Good news for Everton that. We could really do with Dummett and Colback/Tiote being fit for this.

Not really related but a question was posed on Talksport last night, Dele Alli or Ross Barkley, who would you have? I'd go for Barkely but it's a tough one.
  12. A decent LB means nothing if the rest of the defence is rubbish, see Amavi for Villa. We needed LB cover, the real need for the defence is a replacement for Colo and has been for years. A slight upgrade on Dummett would make fuck all difference.
  13. There's been baby steps since last summer, shame that's an improvement from total cunts to incompetent cunts.

    Steve McClaren

He'll not be sacked now, even if the relegation threat gets bigger.
  15. Decent - Problems with CM and LW solved to a degree and with players who know the league and actually wanted to come here. Also seems to be a shift towards signing players we actually need rather than just Graham Carr's random recommendations who fit the buy low sell high mantra. Bad - Gamble on an unknown striker when Remy/Berahino/Gayle were possibly available. (fwiw I do think we actually wanted Berahino rather than just 'we tried'). No adequate cover in CB or LB. 6/10
  16. If Berahino's focus is on trying to get in the squad for the Euro's he should absolutely move to us. Got the best chance of playing and scoring goals up front.
  17. Peterborough chairman was on Talksport last week saying he thought Gayle would be going to the Euro's if he was in the right team. Obviously an element of bias but shows how highly rated he was there.

    Andros Townsend

Depends what you want from the position to an extent, I've always preferred the 'Giggs' style left wingers myself which certainly applies more to Townsend than Perez.

    Andros Townsend

Townsend is a better winger than Perez.

    Rolando Aarons

Needs a 2/3 year deal and then get him out on loan.
  21. Good luck to him, he'll enjoy the championship more again that's for sure. An absolute liability at times but mixed in with some rock solid shielding games with Colo.

    Andros Townsend

I don't see how you can make a statement like 'he can't cross'. He's not had a run of games with the instruction to cross the ball regularly in probably 3 / 4 years.

    Florian Thauvin

Thauvin was clearly not ready for this move, physically, technically and mentally. Best for all parties he gets back to France for the next 6 months.
