I dunno like, most of us seem shocked at the level to which it went on. Perhaps I haven't read up on it enough, but I assumed she pushed herself onto him at some club, he didn't bother to ask if she was 16 and shagged around like the majority of footballers do. Didn't realise there was all of the evidence of texting and the backstory being that he essentially groomed her throughout the whole thing. If the club / mackem fans assumed the former, it's at least vaguely understandable, rather going total Rolf.
-
I didn't think it would be this bad. He's an actual Jimmy Saville esque piece of shit.
-
Odds on his next club being Gateshead?
-
Wouldn't mind seeing Gini dropped as long as it's Perez and Mitro in a 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 ish.
-
More like McClaren has given him 6 months, realised he's at best a very limited player and instantly brought in alternative / better players.
-
For the vast majority of games under McClaren I can see a plan and a way we want to play. Plus, these actually vary from game to game, rather than the same bilge every week. That alone makes him a tremendous upgrade on Pardew. For me it's not even a comparison, I don't hate Saturdays anymore and look forward to the possibility of a good performance.

He made 2 fouls in the whole game ffs, both when asked to play DM in the second half. Lack of effort I just don't see how you can level that at him. I know you're no Colback fan but you're basically criticising Shelvey for the exact opposite that we criticise Colback for. Pick your poison.
-
They spent almost nothing compared to what they have this year under Clement. Major loans he got were the likes of Ibe, Ince and Darren Bent.
-
We need to get a sense of perspective. If you'd prefer Jack Colback completing 95% of his passes to the fullbacks then so be it. If we bring in someone creative who's been asked to play risky, forward passes you need to accept that some may go astray. It doesn't help him in the slightest that Wijnaldum was hiding for most of the 90, Perez unable to hold the ball up and Sissoko holding hands with his marker on the right wing.
-
They always beat us, yet find increasingly ridiculous ways to fuck up winning positions against the majority of the rest of the league.
-
He should have been left alone on the right wing and Wijnaldum should have been taken off. Sissoko in central midfield is pointless.
-
Lascelles had a blinder up until the brain fart at the end. Was wondering where he'd been hiding in every single previous appearance.
-
Wijnaldum and Sissoko were fucking hopeless tonight.
-
What the absolute f*** are you on about? Ignoring the couple times he basically had Mitro in on goal with 50 odd yard passes Sounds like you are ignoring the other 92 minutes and 50 seconds when he was utter garbage. I'm totally baffled how anyone can watch that from Shelvey and come out with things like worse than the worst of Nicky Butt. He wasn't amazing but fuck me, some of the shite that gets bandied around this forum after matches.
-
There's those preconceptions again.

-
Preconceptions from having seen him play? Yeah. Ah, sorry, I'm sure you've seen his every appearance over the past few years.
-
Worked hard, poor in the final third. Those with the preconceptions will be giving it the keyboard warrior though.
-
Even after that team selection tonight? The team selection that most people were happy with before the game?
-
I'd take Dier over all of those on current form. He's been a revelation for Spurs this season at DM. I was meaning more of a box to box player rather than a DM. Wilshere would be my pseudo DM assuming he's fit. Which is obviously a big assumption to make.
-
Yeah. If we manage to stay up this year it will be interesting to see what goes on this summer. If they spend big again on the kind of players we actually need then I'll go some way to thinking they've changed.
-
You need one of Henderson / Delph / Milner in the midfield 3 for me, and Henderson is the best of that bunch.
-
We should go in with 2 formations, the 4-3-3 and the 4-4-2 diamond and play one according to the situation and opponent. The only difference between them is the alignment of the front 3 anyway. Hart, Clyne Smalling Cahill Baines Barkley Wilshere Henderson Then either: Sterling Rooney Kane or Walcott Kane Sterling. Not set on those particular players mind, talking more about the formation (s) I hope we play.

We're still suffering from this detestable, cowardly method of defending. Rather than try to be proactive and win the ball back, just run behind it and settle into 2 banks of 4 for the next 10 minutes. Cunt.
