How is it a knee-jerk if people express their very valid worries about this going down pretty much the way they expected/feared it would? Appoint an average manager and you will get average results at best. It's really not rocket science. It's knee jerk because at the first sign of any trouble, the response I see is 'sack the manager'. We have had 3 really poor performances this season and I don't personally believe 3 bad games warrants someone to lose their job.

Ighalo on the bench. Although if Eric Dier doesn't play then he comes in.
-
We are so lacking of any physical presence in there. And I don't mean so called hardmen like Catts or Amdy Faye, someone like Kouyate for West Ham who actually has good ability as well.
-
In the second half he seemed to do a shite job of protecting his back 4 and wasn't in position to stop Watford breaking. Can't comment on the first half as I did not see it. How I would long for 2010 Tiote.
-
Knee Jerks galore in here, fucking hell. I didn't see the first half but being 0-2 down at home to Watford is not acceptable. It's worrying how much of the team isn't gelling together or working, but at the same time not surprising. When everyone on here posts their first choice XI it's always with a caveat of 'the best we have available' or with players that you know don't complement each other well. That's what happens when your existence model is based on being cheap and sell on value. Anyway, today was shit, unacceptable and with this squad of players, we should not be getting beaten by Watford. Needs sorting out and fast.

And the rest of your post probably I'm confused as to Gabriel's first booking now, but Koscielny definitely took a dive from the chest bump. And the second booking is still stupid having been carded 20 seconds earlier.
-
Well, i'll stand corrected on the chest bump then.
-
Gabrial got one yellow for diving having received a chest bump and another for a petulant kick out when baby didn't get his own way. Deserves to get sent off for the pure stupidity of it all.
-
I like people that inexplicably manage to break rules and get away with it. Unless it's against my own team of course.
-
Costa has just won. Gabriel is an idiot. Costa wins again.

-
Honesty is the number one thing I want from our manager.
-
Both absolute mercenaries who were promising in their teens, chased the money to clubs where they get pelted with bananas and now find themselves washed up playing under fat dick. Fuck them.
-
I really don't think it is, providing you have a holding CDM behind them. With a holding CM behind is fine I agree with you, I was referring to those wanting Siss and Wij as a 2 behind a CAM or as CM's in a 4-4-2. I agree with all of this.
-
Mozy thinks we should continue what we're doing man, it's going great. West Ham was Pardew shit, the worst of Pardew shit. But I don't think one really bad game warrants a complete rethink. Versus Watford at home strikes me as the perfect time to try Wijnaldum deeper, But why risk ruining a potential solution by handicapping him with Sissoko, who looks like absolute yoghurt every game he plays at CM.
-
Sissoko and Wijnaldum as CM's is moronic. Let's just chuck in Aarons at left back cause he's quick on Fifa. No wonder we're seen as a bunch of idealistic dreamers.
-
What would I play? One of either: Krul Krul Janmaat Mbemba Colo Haidara Janmaat Mbemba Colo Haidara Wijnaldum Colback Anita Sissoko Perez Thauvin/Aarons Thauvin Sissoko Wijnaldum Perez De Jong De Jong

He was absolute shite last night, there's no point coming between the centre halves to receive the ball if all you're going to do is give it straight back to them. He's scared to dribble out with the ball because either he can't or fears getting bullied off it. Then when people do break past him, he doesn't even try and stick a foot in as he knows he will likely get bullied again. He plays scared.
-
He was so so slow on the ball yesterday. Awful game.
-
One of the problems I have with most of our team, but Anita specifically, is this habit of just retreating behind the ball when chasing someone back, rather than actually closing the man down or getting a foot in. I'm positive it's a piece of Pardew coaching as we have done it for years, so damn annoying.
-
He was absolutely at fault for the first goal, that was an unacceptable attempt at a block. And the yellow card was fucking stupid too. There's a time and a place for when to professional foul, that was not it.
-
Worst player on the pitch tonight, must have left his brain on the fucking bus.
-
This was our worst performance of the season (I didn't watch the Swansea game). It's too early to write everyone and everything off, but obviously the team/tactics he picked tonight did not work. Not acceptable.
-
This game was a genuine shambles. If we kept the ball for any length of time it was in the wrong areas and ended up with either a long pass into Cisse or us getting raped on the counter. Cisse himself was just horrific, that man cannot start as a lone striker ever again. Wide players offered nothing, kept running into traffic. Midfield didn't control the game or protect the back 4 or create anything. Full backs got forward well, Haidara might actually just be rubbish. Janmaat was decent I guess. That's about it.

Was absolute shite tonight, contributed nothing.
