Some real abject performances and the second half was a complete car crash. Players pulled out of position, lack of awareness, lack of fight, the list goes on. Friday will be interesting, we went from a well organised, limited side for 40 minutes, to the side Howe took over within a 10 minute spell.

How can anyone forget Kevin Scott. We absolutely cleaned out Spurs on that one.

Just going back to Jenas, he really should have been a top top player. When he won Young Player of the Year he was damn good. If he’d had a bit more drive and niggle who knows what he could have achieved. I remember watching his first few games thinking we had some player on our hands. Anyway, Dan Ashworth, surely that just gets sorted when we want.
-
Some right niggly fouls so far. It’s a friendly lads.
-
Pickford had no chance with the goal btw.

As suggested I think he should say he was referring to the crowd and wonders who the FA think he could be referring to and why? He should then double down and agree they might have a point about the officiating (assuming the FA refer to this) but he was on about the crowd.

If that challenge had been made at Stamford Bridge there’s no chance VAR would have intervened. Burn is still sporting a cut and bump where he nearly bust an eye socket from an elbow but that wasn’t reckless apparently…. Allan’s challenge was one that falls into a sin bin situation for me. I know we don’t have sin bins but I really don’t like that type of professional foul; a yellow can feel lenient. As a player it’s a right pisser being taken out like that.

Really poor goal to concede, everything about it was poor. ASM wasn’t strong enough, we were caught out of shape, as a result they got between the lines and then Dub’s positioning was wrong and he gets caught with his weight on his right foot. We let them off the hook big time last night.

Not a red for me

ASM off the bench after 60 mins as they tire. Everton will start very quickly which could be in Howe’s thoughts about starting ASM and his tracking back. Almiron off after 60. -

They’ll be desperate to beat us tonight, our fans were simply amazing in the game up here & Everton and their fans absolutely hated it. I’m expecting a very hostile atmosphere. -
Fulham destroyed us that game, they really should have gone up and I’m sure there was some controversy in there last game of the season. They played some fantastic football that season. That old bloke is surely Max Wall?

and should Teeside turn down the billions of pounds of investment; surely that’s industry washing or something. They going to interview the plant manager about their views on Saudi?
-
Has anybody asked Bacon Face his thoughts on KSA as he considers his time under their ownership or the huge pay off he accepted? Oh, and how about just about every pundit who thought he was doing a great job and shouldn’t have been peddled? Should they not have been saying how he was better off out of the club. If there is anything to be asked and investigated it should be what happened that made the EPL suddenly approve the takeover and continue to prevent MBS and PIF taking over. No skeletons there, nowt worth commenting on? It’s Eddie Howe baiting season and they all know he can’t say anything other than what he is saying. Where’s Boris today btw and what’s he doing?

Waddle? Not seen much of Anderson but Waddle often dribbled like he wasn’t actually in control of the ball.
-
See Anderson has scored again.

Havertz knew actually where Burn was. In his post match interview he said his elbow was that high as Burn is 7 or 8 feet tall. So not only did he know where Burn was (and from the moment the ball was in the air), he also knew where they’d meet for aerial challenge. He was looking at the ball but he full well knew where Burn was and jumped with this in mind. IMO he was knowingly endangering another player and should have walked.

Yeah, Neville said he’s now changed his mind and him and Carra agree Howe is fair game. Meanwhile in Parliament a govt spokesperson was welcoming the investment. Perhaps if the PL and Big 6 hadn’t tried as hard as they did to stop the takeover they mightn’t have tripped themselves and got themselves into a corner. If the Saudis start assisting Putin there’s a different story to be had and the ownership of NUFC will rightly be questioned. There’s a whole can of elsewhere should that happen. I don’t see anywhere any comment that KSA lawfully attacked rebels in Yemen or that the US and UK were onboard with this whilst also providing humanitarian aid. I know it’s not as simple as that but…… At what point do you say we’ve gone after enough clubs? Regardless of anything you can’t approve a takeover and then decide it was wrong because Putin invaded Ukraine. I’d expect the Govt to have a word if the EPL take any action. As undesirable as it may be we need to maintain strong links with KSA. Anyway, Neville was stirring the pot and Howe can’t be expected to comment on KSA when in essence nothing has changed in the circumstances of the takeover.

There’s more than a few Chelsea fans who are complaining that we kicked them all over the pitch and that they were playing against 14……doesn’t help when Havertz nearly breaks Burns’ cheek/ eye socket and says his elbow was that high as Burns is 7 or 8 feet tall (so you’re saying you deliberately went in that high?) and we were just trying to foul them all game.
