I’m not sure why Dubs made himself so small for the goal, his arms were tight against his body. Perhaps it helped keep him upright but he could have made himself wider. I’m not saying he should have saved it but he might want to look at it.

Yemen is different to this albeit it gave KSA an excuse to go in and, go in lawfully and with US and UK approval. Doesn’t make it right but there’s no chance the Govt will do anything about our deal. If anything it could make the relationship a bit closer.

RIP, got us into Europe and a League Cup Final but he sold Super Mac and walked out on us. Didn’t like him as our manager, got a tune out of some average players and set us up for relegation a couple of years later. Steve Hardwick was a terrible keeper and John Bird and Graeme Oates were woeful. Gowling was a plodder but I did like Micky Burns.

For the position he’d need to play, if he’s anywhere near getting on the sub’s bench next season we’ve not recruited properly. He has no place in any quality squad. Trying hard and running about ain’t going to cut it.

His first touch for the 2nd goal deserves more love, most players would take the touch to either shield the ball or take them towards the touchline. Schar’s touch and, it looks intentional, took him beyond the defender on the inside and his pass to Willock was a beauty. He can be caught off guard in possession at times and doesn’t always see runners but he can certainly play football. Him and Burn to Lascelles and Clark is huge.
