  1. Fair enough, you say potato as well. Planting his foot, not trying to touch the ball, had a look (to see where Fornals was) all led to endangering the other player. I’d have given a red in any decade tbh, you can’t have 1 player going for the ball and the other planting his foot like that when he’s already out of control. Anyway, it’s been done to death. We dust wor sels down and go again ?.
  2. I think you’ve just described why it was a clear red. He’s lucky he didn’t break his leg. Perez made a poor decision and can have no complaints, he should have gone down under the push which looked a clear foul.
  3. It was a reckless, leg breaker, very poor decision to do what he did. He should have gone down under the push and hoped for a foul. If someone did that to me when I played I’d have gone ballistic. I’m not sure how Oliver missed it.
  4. So the Saudis can buy and invest into anything but a football club? They can meet the Queen, we can sell arms to them and sign trade deals but we can turn down investment in a needy area. It’s over but fuck me we’ve been done.
  5. He endangered the player and didn’t have to go for it. He was miles away from the ball, red all day under the rules.
  6. Ayoze looking like a pub player so far, come on man.
  7. Ndidi tracking back like Shelvey there.
  8. He was some player at Liverpool, amazing engine, two footed and knew how to score. Very underrated he was top class.
  9. He’s played the man not the ball to get there by barging him. If he’s used his shoulder fair enough but he didn’t. Wilson on Mings was the type of challenge that should be allowed.
  10. He is, but it was a foul. You can’t play the man before the ball like that.
  11. Sad news, good luck. Don’t think we can lay this one down to heading the ball mind.
  12. Good to know VAR is still rubbish. Ask the lino to flag/ don’t flag as they believe and unless it’s clear and obvious let their decision stand. Clear and obvious has to be a gap between lines. Oh, and I don’t think theirs was a penalty this week either. Look at it in real time for distance/ reaction time and also see where your arm naturally goes when making that attempted block. Villa weren’t exactly great today, I didn’t see much from Bruce or Jones today. I did see players looking like they were going through the motions a bit at 2 down.
  13. Anyone asked about Leguene and what the plan is when ASM and Wilson are out for extended periods?

    Joe Willock

He’s just said what needed to be said. We all know he moved because he was unable to make it at Arsenal. We’ll perhaps have trebled his wage and if he’s a success NUFC will be a stepping stone and we’ll make a nice profit given the length of contract. Pity he didn’t say he was disappointed at the booing of the taking knee by some and the subsequent much louder applause. We need to get the message out to the numpty element in our support. I’d actually eject them from the ground as racists,

    Sunderland

If you roll it frame by frame he looks offside when the ball is kicked. The defender on the far side isn’t ahead of him at the point of impact.

    St James' Park

What’s the point of having any TVs if they’re not going to pay to show SKY or have their own hi-lights on them? They’ve put some new flooring down, we can all just stand and admire that at HT.
  17. West Ham got to him far quicker in the 2nd half and it cost us a goal (and yes there was subsequent poor defending, it’s not a go at ASM). If you can get a challenge in before he’s completed his 1st touch you can get him, once he’s got control and a yard of space you’re in trouble. His footwork is incredible, he shouldn’t be picking the ball up so deep and I’d like to think once Willock starts that he’ll not be. Let’s see what Brucey comes up with for the weekend.

    Jacob Murphy

Graeme Jones or someone needs to work and work and work with Murphy on his defensive duties and his decision making when going forward. He needs to start thinking as a defender supporting the attack, he made a few careless passes yesterday and instead of getting a simple corner he turned back on himself near the corner flag and I’m pretty sure they broke into the space he’d left behind him for the 4th goal as a result. I believe he can do a decent job, he definitely needs coaching hard to get there. Oh and never a penalty

    Joe Willock

Let’s be honest, it’d have been no surprise if we didn’t sign him, so got to say well done. Just hope Willock is happy to join and ASM is a little happier. Real shame he’s not available for Sunday, he’d not have started but would have been great on the bench. Right, centre forward please.
  20. Don’t like Rudiger, sly, dirty, git.
