Let’s hope it’s a positive message and isn’t undermined by any booing of taking the knee. -
Any uncomfortable songs are likely to be very pro KSA belted out by tea towelled adorned idiots with half and half NUFC/ KSA scarves. I’m worried we’ll give the media a frw large bones to chew on. The atmosphere will be electric, just hope it’s not over the top.

Potential focal point for all things Human Rights and knowing some of our fans uncomfortable ditties from the Gallowgate for the media to feast on.
-
That could go horribly wrong.
-
Bruce spent Friday afternoon in the bar at Close House, in a corner. He’ll be back there this afternoon with a bit luck.
-
Tell Staveley she’ll find Wilson in the Treatment Wheelie Bin, it’s the green one I think.

It was a 5 minute piece basically reminding everyone how bad the regime is and how bad it is for the PL showing scenes of celebrating Newcastle fans. Richard Madeley feels sorry for us conflicted fans (all of us, drinking from the poison chalice). Very brief mention of the O&D test and nothing at all about why the takeover was ultimately approved and the knots the PL and other “interested” parties got themselves tied up in. Not a single question about what suddenly changed. That story has buried very quickly.

Oooof; getting a right kicking all directed against the wrong target and reasons. Criticise the fit and proper test by all means but lumping us all in as more or less complicit ain’t on.
-
See there’s a Fund Raiser to get billboards near SJP for the Spurs game to remember Khashoggi. SAFC supporting Amnesty International since sometime on Wednesday 6 Oct 21. And Grumpy has The Reuben’s demolishing SJP for offices and us off to the airport ?. Someone needs to drag up some of his posts about Dell and his ITK mate Riv.
-
He’s got to go ASAP, that was always going to be the case. I’d hope in their first presser they confirm this and also outline plans for the training ground and facilities. They’ve got to maximise the feel good factor for the Spurs game and they have to get the current players to get some results together. Our fixtures up to the turn of the year are horrendous. Fingers crossed that Wilson has a run of fixtures without breaking down and ASM stays fit.
-
Staveley has repeatedly mentioned the connection between the ground and city. IMO there’s no chance we’d move to any location that you couldn’t comfortably walk to from the city centre. It’d be massively unpopular, no matter how nice it might be. You either revamp SJP or at a push go for Castle Leazes. Might sound a bit selfish but I can leave a night match at FT, get to the train station in 5 minutes and just catch the last train. I’d struggle with that even at Castle Leazes. The current location is a huge benefit.

When the peanut and barley sweet sellers would throw paper bags into the crowd at HT to buy and I’d then throw peanuts at the coppers walk around the cinder track. I attended my first games in the early/ mid seventies and those early memories with the Leazes as it was still stay with me, what a terrace that was. Within a few years it was knocked down and we turned to absolute shite for a long long time and I still went whenever I could. My older brother got to go the 1st leg of the Fairs Cup Final and I never knew this for over 45 years. I had the program but never knew why. I want to stand with my brother and together watch us win something.

I think we got in just before the door was bolted and the PL change their rules. I’ve heard from reliable sources that NUST and others convinced Ashley and his team that anti competition rights and abuse of position was the route to go down, as Arbitratration wouldn’t wouldn’t win. Seems pretty clear that we’ve had something the PL didn’t want to come out and when it was apparent they’d lose CAT that they’ve caved and said settle with Qatar and jobs a good ‘in. Been reported that PIF paid the money by liquid funds meaning it could go through so quickly as it was more or less loose change and required little manoeuvring of funds. It’s ridiculously silly what kind of funds we have potentially come into. I hate Ashley but my god, I may end up giving him some redemption for his final act.
-
Someone dig out the posts when they were about to be the richest club ever with Dell and Riv spouting his ITK and Grumpy lording it. I just wanted Ashley out and I’ll not pass judgment on the new owners until they put actions into words but, we can legitimately say we are the richest club in the world and they are Div 3. It must be devastating for a lot of those daft gits. You win some, you lose some. You’ve got 6 in a row; enjoy it?
-
we were regularly losing to Wrexham and Port Vale with zero prospect of ever being anything other than Div 2 shite.
-
Shay Given’s son video bombing his interview was canny funny.
-
Unless it was Ashley or Bruce who placed that it’s a shocker of a bet. Bruce is hanging on for his bit and Ashley ain’t doing anything until Arbitration is decided, why pay the contract up if there’s any chance he can sell?
-
He’s been distinctly average. Clearly not match fit and my god he’s slow.
-
Tbf to Darlow, he let the same goal in twice
-
He’s not getting sacked. He should have been sacked preseason for not bringing in a backup striker. I’m surprised ASM hasn’t got himself injured he will, but Wilson was an absolute nailed on bet to be injured. Incompetence in the highest degree.
-
The ref had his whistle to stop play just as the keeper got up. Canny funny, it’s in his gob, he’s taken a breath so he can blow and he stops. The keeper then recovers so quickly he runs passed the shot.

The Devil Child at the end of the clip is very worrying.
