VAR is there to help the referee when they haven’t had a clear view or have just got it wrong. It’s not there to show an official at Stockley Park what actually happened and for them to ignore it and not let the ref know that they may have got it wrong. Kevin Friend is as bad as it gets when it comes to us.

It was a typical Bruce performance and it nearly worked. The game turned on the 3rd goal imo (yes I know we equalised ar 2-1 down but had we gone ahead again at 1-1 I think it would have had a huge impact). Kevin Friend must despise use, if kicking an opposition player without getting anywhere near the ball isn’t a clear and obvious error or at worst worthy of suggesting that the ref takes a look then Kevin Cunt shouldn’t be allowed to referee a game again. For all our failings there’s no excusing that decision.

Where do people get the idea that he’s fairly quick? Everything he does is slow; this unfortunately includes the speed his shots travel at.

I was too young to witness Pele, though I’ve seen plenty footage and his stats are unreal. I always believed he was the best, I’m not so sure now, if I had to pick a player I’d want on my side I’d probably pick Maradona. At their peak I’d say Maradona edges it.

Well Maradona; the ref rightly pulled up those fouls. Maradona was no saint either in his tackling or kneeing playing staff in the head knocking them unconscious before they’d hit the deck. All time great no doubt all the same.
