  1. Why are BT showing Man U and Lpool home ties against lower league sides; hardly upset ties. This is like a practice match.
  2. Blackburn played like the away side. We had loads of possession but little penetration or sustained threat, we are slow in possession when the oppo plays deep, our wide men do not go past their full back and we have no one in midfield who can dribble passed a man and pull the oppo out of shape. Blackburn are a terrible side, Rafa has to take a lot of the blame today. The team showed no tempo, nous, real desire or most worryingly any real ability to put Blackburn away. Colback was woeful again but Ritchie, Gouffran, Hayden and for large parts Diame were very poor, Perez may as well have stayed on the bench. It's a huge concern when so many players in key areas aren't performing. Forget the possession stats and the shots tally, at no point did Blackburn look really under the cosh, they weren't pulled out of shape and they were comfortable conceding possession and allowing us to shoot from range. Brighton are so much better than us just now. We need to turn this around or we will lose a good few more.
  3. A half decent Championship side would have beaten Blackburn today. Our midfield and wide play has been pathetic.
  4. Have we forgotten that Blackburn are a big physical side or are we just too thick
  5. We continue to be far too easy to defend against at home (unless we score early). Teams sit deep and our lack of players who can actually go past a man and disrupt the oppo's defensive shape leaves us almost clueless. We are slow and predictable and are far more effective away from home. We really do need a creative presence. I must mention that I've not been impressed by Ritchie's contributions, he's getting away with it just now.
  6. We had a basic lack of speed and creativity from midfield. It's been a problem at home all season. If we don't score early on and the oppo sits deep we struggle.
  7. Some poor 19 year old lad was stabbed and died last night in Cramlington Club up the road from me. Tragic; countless lives affected and no doubt drink induced. My step son had been up in the village earlier, kinda spoilt my morning.
  8. So Shelvey was getting some grief for his baldness and 3 opposition players think he's said something racist but they can't agree what it was? He couldn't have been getting stick from the player allegedly abused unless he was gesturing towards Shelvey so I can't see how that could be related to incident he's accused of. It seems that Shelvey is probably the only person who knows what was said. If he hasn't said anything wrong he has every right to fight this all the way. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Shelvey said something in the spur of the moment and can't actually remember what he said and nor can the other players around. It's a complete shambles.
  9. Don't get the hate, he was consistently good for us and left for the right reasons. He made a poor choice in Pardew but was anyone else in for him? I really do feel sorry for him. If other players had performed as well as Townsend had we wouldn't have gone down.
  10. Norwich will be looking for a new manager as we speak.
  11. Nailed on, never seen so many other poor sides. Today was embarrassing against a team in 5 th position
  12. Still seething, can't even watch the incidents again. Has it been mentioned that a Forest players appears to back on the field from an offside position and become active for their equaliser? That was my initial thought but can't yet face to look at it again.
  13. Luiz definitely stepped across his path, gets lucky imo.
